Thursday of Week 52: The Belly Fat Cure

Good Morning all,

Well, the funeral yesterday was very nice. I am glad it is all over now. I will miss him every day, but I am so relieved that he is in no more pain. It was so hard for me to watch him suffer like that. But at the same time, I feel honored that I was able to be here for this long and be by his bedside while he was dieing.

Ok - so that is all with the sad stuff....

I just got done eating my breakfast of eggs, turkey bacon, Oasis bread w/butter, 7 blackberries, and coffee w/truvia, benefiber, powdered cream, and cinnamon.

It seems that the 2lbs that I have put on is gone now according to the scale over here. I am going home in the morning (Friday). After over 2 weeks here - I am so glad to be going home now. I will be coming back next week for the burial. It was not yesterday. We are trying to get him buried at the VA cemetery, and there is a lot of paperwork for them to look up first. So as soon as they approve it, we can arrange and I will go back for that.

Well that's all for now. Thanks for listening. Love to all of my BFC friends. Please leave your comments.

My thought for the day:

  1. All our hugs go to you Rosalie. And don't worry about the 2 lbs. For you to still stick with the diet through the toughest of times is just totally awesome to me. And after our phone call a couple weeks ago, listening to your story about never giving up has really inspired me to stick with it no matter what, every step of the way. And I can't thank you enough for giving me the time to help me. It means a lot! :)

Some tips if you are having trouble

  • First make sure that you are staying under the 15/6. 15 sugars and 6 servings of carbs for the whole day. Thats no more than 5 sugars and 2 servings of carbs per meal.
  • Track all of your sugar/carbs. Add everything from your meal together and count them that way.
  • Try to stop eating whole grain carbs after 3pm.
  • Make sure you drink lots of water.
  • Count everything that you put into your mouth. Even sauces - everything , check labels.
  • Make sure that you don't eat any artificial sugars. Check labels, if it says sugar free - look in the ingredients, look for....sucralose, aspartame, saccharine in the ingredients. Those are BAD!
  • Going #2 is a big problem when a lot of people start the BFC. I have solved that problem with Clear Benefiber in my morning coffee and a scoop of Super Seed w/water in the afternoon. (you can buy the super seed on Amazon.com it is the cheapest).
  • Choose your carbs wisely. Try to pick the carbs that will give you the lowest count of carbs, sugar and calories and the most fiber.

I hope this helps.
