Friday of week 32: The Belly Fat Cure

Hey there :-)
Sometimes I just am not sure what to talk about after 7 months of doing the BFC.

For those of you that are new,  please don't give up! I know it's hard in the first 2 months. Trying to adjust to this SO DIFFERENT way of eating. Being around other people eating stuff that we can't eat, and drinking stuff we can't drink. But I just want to say that it will get better. After a while - those hunger pains at night will go away. That feeling of .....I can't do this forever.... will go away too. I promise.

I think the trick that I had to learn was; how to not cheat and how to never quit or give up too early without giving it a chance to work.

At that time in my life when I started the BFC, things were hard for me in my life all around. I felt bad about my life and myself. I am still not sure of exactly why I did - but I did. I had to feel like I was punishing myself by saying that I was not allowed to eat this or that. If I was hungry at night; I would just hold my stomach and say I was not allowed. I had tremendous will power that I had never ever had before. For some reason - it just came out of me.

I don't know if this will work for you, but try to find your groove with this diet. Get tips from others that have been doing it for a while and find the right path to make it work for you.

If you have started this path, just please give it enough chance to find YOUR groove. I have read many comments regarding thinking about quitting. Please don't! You really are not alone in this. Myself and everyone reading this are all with you to support you.

Set a goal that you want to reach by the end of the year. Then post it and lets all reach them together. I will make a chart on my blog with first names, goal weight, and current weight. So we all can cheer each other on!
My goal is to get to 150 lbs by the end of the year. Who's In?

Thanks for listening. Love to all of my BFC friends. Please leave your comments.

My thought for the day;

You must act as if it is impossible to fail.

Keep on BFC ' n  :-)

  2. Another great blog! :) Your blogs are so motivational. :) Im currently 210 and would like to be 180 also by the end of December. My ultimate goal is 140, but I will save some of the weight lose goal for next year because I don't think I can reach my long term goal in that short of a time. ;) Thank you for your inspiration!

  10. I think its a great idea what you are doing to help all your BFC friends! I would just like to add that between now and 12/31 we can look at each others food journals to see what we are all eating. Then maybe you or others can critique it. My journal is at www.myfitnesspal.com and my user ID is totalimageguy. Accounts are free over there and you can set it up to count sugars and carbs. Add me as a friend and see what I am eating, or not eating ;-)

Some tips if you are having trouble

  • First make sure that you are staying under the 15/6. 15 sugars and 6 servings of carbs for the whole day. Thats no more than 5 sugars and 2 servings of carbs per meal.
  • Track all of your sugar/carbs. Add everything from your meal together and count them that way.
  • Try to stop eating whole grain carbs after 3pm.
  • Make sure you drink lots of water.
  • Count everything that you put into your mouth. Even sauces - everything , check labels.
  • Make sure that you don't eat any artificial sugars. Check labels, if it says sugar free - look in the ingredients, look for....sucralose, aspartame, saccharine in the ingredients. Those are BAD!
  • Going #2 is a big problem when a lot of people start the BFC. I have solved that problem with Clear Benefiber in my morning coffee and a scoop of Super Seed w/water in the afternoon. (you can buy the super seed on Amazon.com it is the cheapest).
  • Choose your carbs wisely. Try to pick the carbs that will give you the lowest count of carbs, sugar and calories and the most fiber.

I hope this helps.
