Since I started the Belly Fat Cure, I've learned how to control my eating. I used to eat a lot. I guess I never really noticed how much. I thought it was normal. I would eat when I was upset. I would eat when I was sad. I would eat when I was bored. I would eat when I was happy. I know now that I don't have to fill my mouth from my emotions.
I am currently going thru stuff, and I don't have to eat because of it. I am 51 and my hormones are going all over the place. I still get my monthly, but when I get close to that time of the month, I feel like I'm going to explode. I got so angry this morning for not that much of a reason at all. I felt so angry. Someone who is going thru this please tell me this is ok or what I should do???
But on another note, I used to eat sweets when it was that time of the month. I always said a snickers and a diet coke would make you feel better when you are on your period. So now what to do?? Well, a squirt of Reddi Whip is always helpful. It has only 15 calories and no sugar. Then there is always 2 squares of 85% Lindt dark chocolate.
In the beginning, I really didn't like the dark chocolate. I never really tasted it before. I felt that I didn't want to waste it since I already paid for it, so I kept on giving it more chances. After a few times, it kind of grows on you. Now I love it.
Now to answer Lisa's questions from yesterday:
Yes Metamucil and Super seed has about 5 carbs and 5 fiber each. I found that I need these extra fiber supplements to be able to go # 2. You should watch that you are not consuming artificial sugars. If a food says sugar free or diet, look at the ingredients. If it says Sucralose or Aspertime those are bad. Any artificial sweetener is bad like, Equal or Splenda. I use Truvia, I buy it a Wal mart. Also try to eat all your carbs before 3 or 4pm (except veggies). That will help accelerate your weight loss. When buyig food and it says low fat or fat free, usually that contains more carbs and sugars that the regular.

Some tips if you are having trouble
- First make sure that you are staying under the 15/6. 15 sugars and 6 servings of carbs for the whole day. Thats no more than 5 sugars and 2 servings of carbs per meal.
- Track all of your sugar/carbs. Add everything from your meal together and count them that way.
- Try to stop eating whole grain carbs after 3pm.
- Make sure you drink lots of water.
- Count everything that you put into your mouth. Even sauces - everything , check labels.
- Make sure that you don't eat any artificial sugars. Check labels, if it says sugar free - look in the ingredients, look for....sucralose, aspartame, saccharine in the ingredients. Those are BAD!
- Going #2 is a big problem when a lot of people start the BFC. I have solved that problem with Clear Benefiber in my morning coffee and a scoop of Super Seed w/water in the afternoon. (you can buy the super seed on Amazon.com it is the cheapest).
- Choose your carbs wisely. Try to pick the carbs that will give you the lowest count of carbs, sugar and calories and the most fiber.

You just made me realize that I got through my first bit of emotional eating this weekend. Our air conditioner stopped working, and the heat was killing me, and all I could think to do was eat a bunch of ice cream to make me feel better. But instead I drank a bunch of water and lost 3.5 pounds over the weekend! A lot of it was sweated out, I'm sure, but it still felt great.
