Saturday of week 22: The Belly Fat Cure

So - this morning my weight is still the same, 192.5 lbs. I am very happy to see that it has not gone back up. 

Yesterday I went out to lunch with my son. We went to a Chinese food buffet. I am a little worried when I go out to a different place, cause I am not sure of what I can eat. But I have learned that no matter where I am, there is always something for me to eat. I wound up eating some chicken, fish and some veggies. 

Then for dinner: I put some frozen broccoli in a  bowl with some chicken strips (that are pre-cooked and frozen in a big bag I got from Sam's Club) and then I put about 3 tbsp of Ragu alfredo sauce on it and microwaved it for a few minutes. Good!

I always try to do everything as easy as possible since I started on The Belly Fat Cure. What I mean is - that I don't try to cook using fancy recipes. I always try to use foods that will be easy for me to prepare. The way I look at it is, I am already going without - why make it hard for myself?

I know some people say, "This is not a diet - it is a way of life". Well I say - This is a diet. Because I can't eat like everyone else, I have to go without all that junk that I loved so much. So Yeah - this is a diet. To me anyways.

  1. Do you think you will keep eating this way after you reach your goal? I'm with you- it is very hard to eat this way when others around you are eating the "junk" food or even just some good fruit!

Some tips if you are having trouble

  • First make sure that you are staying under the 15/6. 15 sugars and 6 servings of carbs for the whole day. Thats no more than 5 sugars and 2 servings of carbs per meal.
  • Track all of your sugar/carbs. Add everything from your meal together and count them that way.
  • Try to stop eating whole grain carbs after 3pm.
  • Make sure you drink lots of water.
  • Count everything that you put into your mouth. Even sauces - everything , check labels.
  • Make sure that you don't eat any artificial sugars. Check labels, if it says sugar free - look in the ingredients, look for....sucralose, aspartame, saccharine in the ingredients. Those are BAD!
  • Going #2 is a big problem when a lot of people start the BFC. I have solved that problem with Clear Benefiber in my morning coffee and a scoop of Super Seed w/water in the afternoon. (you can buy the super seed on Amazon.com it is the cheapest).
  • Choose your carbs wisely. Try to pick the carbs that will give you the lowest count of carbs, sugar and calories and the most fiber.
