Saturday of week 19: It's a small world!

It's a small world. Yesterday my husband took his car to our mechanic in Alta Dena (which is kind of far away from us) to find out why his front tires were shaking. He said he thought the tires needed to be balanced. I asked him did it shake all the time or just when he stopped. He said just when he stopped. I said it's probably the brakes. Well anyways it turned out I was right.
So he works in that area and picked up the car on his way to work at the Fire Dept. He told our mechanic, " My wife will take care of the bill". So the mechanic calls me and says "how are you, blah blah blah, so it will be $330". So I gave him the credit card over the phone. I told him I will have to bring my car also soon. Then I told him "Oh by the way I have lost 40lbs since the last time you saw me". He said wow thats great! I too am also on a diet. I said "really, what kind"? He said its a low sugar one. Then I said " Are you doing the BELLY FAT CURE ?" He said yes. I sad " GET THE F-- out of here!!! "
So - it's a small world HUH? So needless to say that the next time I see him, we will be swapping low sugar stories.

Thanks for listening. Please leave your comments.

My thought for today: We have more in common with people we hardly know than we think.

Keep on BFC ' n  :-)

Some tips if you are having trouble

  • First make sure that you are staying under the 15/6. 15 sugars and 6 servings of carbs for the whole day. Thats no more than 5 sugars and 2 servings of carbs per meal.
  • Track all of your sugar/carbs. Add everything from your meal together and count them that way.
  • Try to stop eating whole grain carbs after 3pm.
  • Make sure you drink lots of water.
  • Count everything that you put into your mouth. Even sauces - everything , check labels.
  • Make sure that you don't eat any artificial sugars. Check labels, if it says sugar free - look in the ingredients, look for....sucralose, aspartame, saccharine in the ingredients. Those are BAD!
  • Going #2 is a big problem when a lot of people start the BFC. I have solved that problem with Clear Benefiber in my morning coffee and a scoop of Super Seed w/water in the afternoon. (you can buy the super seed on Amazon.com it is the cheapest).
  • Choose your carbs wisely. Try to pick the carbs that will give you the lowest count of carbs, sugar and calories and the most fiber.

I hope this helps.
