Wednesday of week 13: Belly Fat Cure

I just ate corned beef hash for dinner with brocolli. I wasn't sure if I should or not. It is one of my fav's for breakfast. My hubby is working nights and I couldn't find anything to eat. I saw the can it said: 1 can is 2 servings. 1 serving is 1 sugar, 2 fiber and 22 carbs. That sounds belly good to me. I cooked the whole can and mixed in 2 eggs and then ate half and put the rest away for tomorrow.
Now I usually don't eat any carbs for dinner, but - what the heck.

I want to tell you a story. When I was 12 years old I accidently smashed my thumb on my left hand in a car door. I screamed bloody murder for 3 days like a stupid baby, and eventually the nail fell off. When it grew back, it only connected half way up. Its been like that all my life. I always hid it cause it was ugly. If I ever got moisture under it, it would turn green and I would have to cut it way down as far as I could. If I ever got my nails done, I could never do that one. I wanted to show you what it looks like after not eating sugar for 3 months.
It's almost normal!!! Can you Believe it!!!!!

Well thanks for listening. Please leave your comments.

My thought for today: Love you - my BFC friends. You keep me pumped!!

Keep on BFC ' n :-)

  1. Why do you think your nail is responding to your healthier diet? That's fascinating.

I have a question I wonder if you can answer: do you ever eat rice cakes? In the book he says rice cakes are 0/0 but I'm not finding any that have fewer than 7 grams/cake. So that would be 0/1. I'm assuming I should go with what's on the label, not what he has in the book? What's been your experience? Thanks!

  2. I bought rice cakes and they do have carbs. Mine are: Brown rice, rice cakes, 15 carbs, 1 fiber, 0 sugar in each. they are good with cream cheese or sugar free peanut butter or hummus. The book must be wrong. You should always go by the labels on everything. :-)

  3. That is amazingly fascinating. Wonderful testimony for the healing ability of the body if it is given the opportunity...off of sugar.

Some tips if you are having trouble

  • First make sure that you are staying under the 15/6. 15 sugars and 6 servings of carbs for the whole day. Thats no more than 5 sugars and 2 servings of carbs per meal.
  • Track all of your sugar/carbs. Add everything from your meal together and count them that way.
  • Try to stop eating whole grain carbs after 3pm.
  • Make sure you drink lots of water.
  • Count everything that you put into your mouth. Even sauces - everything , check labels.
  • Make sure that you don't eat any artificial sugars. Check labels, if it says sugar free - look in the ingredients, look for....sucralose, aspartame, saccharine in the ingredients. Those are BAD!
  • Going #2 is a big problem when a lot of people start the BFC. I have solved that problem with Clear Benefiber in my morning coffee and a scoop of Super Seed w/water in the afternoon. (you can buy the super seed on Amazon.com it is the cheapest).
  • Choose your carbs wisely. Try to pick the carbs that will give you the lowest count of carbs, sugar and calories and the most fiber.

I hope this helps.
