SMILE...

Good Morning Friends,

How's your long weekend going? A bunch of people called in sick at Hubby's work and he has been working a lot of OT, so that means - Me - ALONE - again.
SMILE - Don't you think he is CUTE?
On Friday, the 4th - we went up to Pasadena to Mom-in-Laws house for a BBQ. Then Hubby had to work the night shift and went in at 6 and I went home to be with the doggies.

Yesterday was his only day off in a while and we went to the movies and saw the scary one - "Deliver us from Evil". It was good because it was from true events - but definitely NOT lose sleep scary like the news described it. Then we went to dinner at The Heights restaurant near us.

We still have a big mess in the front yard, still doing concrete stuff and planting...

I still and ALWAYS go for my walks 2-3 miles or more for about an hour every day. I try not to ever miss. My furry kids depend on me and look forward to that every day, and It gives me time for me - to unwind and enjoy my surroundings and this beautiful area. Plus I burn off about 200 calories to boot.

But lately I just have so much on my mind, I'm having problems clearing those thoughts out of my head during my walks and when I try to sleep. I am trying to let go and relax - but it has been a challenge.

This morning I dyed my hair, made some pumpkin pancakes for breakfast, made some almond butter and some coconut butter - went outside in the front and tried to sweep up some of the mess and watered the new concrete - and now writing my blog.

I'm thinking of making some cheesecake muffins to have some sweets to get through the week. You know me - gotta have my daily sweets.

Well gotta go - busy finding something NOT to do while I am by myself all day.

Have a great day - thanks for listening.
When you are reading my BLOG - YOU ARE MY REASON TO SMILE today.

Keep on BFC ' n  :-)

    1. Don't you remember the pictures of the new doors and the pic of the concrete being broken up???
We have been in our new house for a year and are fixing it up. When you get NEW CONCRETE poured, you have to keep it wet - cause its so HOT here - it might crack. So water it several times a day until it sets completely.

    1. If you are talking about the bread made by Julian Bakery - YUCK!! I bought some a year ago and threw both loaves away. What a waste of money. I would rather make my own.

  3. When did you started incorporating fruits like blueberries, raspberries and strawberries, was it during the weight loss or when you reached your goal weight?

    1. That's a very good question Angie, I ate raspberries and blackberries all the time but only like 6-8 depending on the size.
Strawberries and blueberries I did not touch until I lost all my weight then slowly started eating them.

  4. I would assume that the reason is because raspberries and blackberries have a lesser sugar content then strawberries and blueberries.

  5. Thanks so much Rosalie. Am really trying to stay on track, but it's been a tough two months . My 81 year old mom was in the hospital and she has Edema her feet are swollen and I have been staying with her for 5 days and it's not easy trying to joggle everything, but am trying .

Some tips if you are having trouble

  • First make sure that you are staying under the 15/6. 15 sugars and 6 servings of carbs for the whole day. Thats no more than 5 sugars and 2 servings of carbs per meal.
  • Track all of your sugar/carbs. Add everything from your meal together and count them that way.
  • Try to stop eating whole grain carbs after 3pm.
  • Make sure you drink lots of water.
  • Count everything that you put into your mouth. Even sauces - everything , check labels.
  • Make sure that you don't eat any artificial sugars. Check labels, if it says sugar free - look in the ingredients, look for....sucralose, aspartame, saccharine in the ingredients. Those are BAD!
  • Going #2 is a big problem when a lot of people start the BFC. I have solved that problem with Clear Benefiber in my morning coffee and a scoop of Super Seed w/water in the afternoon. (you can buy the super seed on Amazon.com it is the cheapest).
  • Choose your carbs wisely. Try to pick the carbs that will give you the lowest count of carbs, sugar and calories and the most fiber.

I hope this helps.
