Today is YOUR day...

Good Morning Friends,

Today is April Fools day and I'm not gonna say something stupid - well I'm too old for that.

Just a quick chat before I go off to work this morning. Saturday I cleaned around the house then we had our taxes done - YIPPEE - NOT...

Oh yeah, we had a earthquake Friday night around 9pm then another one while we were at the tax place around 2:30 Saturday. We are fine. I am so glad that we live where we do. Not near the fault line, or floods or fires - LOVE it over here.

Hubby went to work night shift Fri-Mon so when I got home, of course I took my furry kids on a long walk. We have been going over 2 miles every day after work. They love the nice long walk - and so do I. I really look forward to that.
They are tired here
Sunday Hubby wanted to go to a movie and we saw NOAH. All the acting was superb! But I really don't remember some of that in the Bible - LOL, but it was very well made.

After I went to Laguna to meet my son. He got his 3 year chip and I went to support him. Very proud of him doing that even after everything we have been through.
Work if good - I guess. I don't seem to get told that I do anything wrong anymore - AT ALL.. YIP-YIP..for me. We get paid twice a month, so this time I actually racked up 80 hours - so I will see how much I get paid for that. EXCITED!

My weight is great, this morning I was 149 - I always manage to stay within a couple lbs of my original low.

Well - gotta go.  Have a great day. Don't let today got the best of you - today is YOUR DAY!!

GO GET EM.........

This is PurpleRosy signing off,,,

Keep of BFC ' n  :-)

  2. Hi,
Thank you for writing this blog. I am trying the Happy Hormones diet since I am over 40. I started yesterday but totally bombed. I got really hungry. Guess I need to go back to the store and get the almonds or pumpkin seeds. What would you recommend for keeping on track. I truely was very hungry and not sure why.

    1. Listen, it is not that easy to change so completely what you eat. It took me 2 WHOLE months to get used to this. To not feel starving every night and wake up starving every morning, to not be scared to go out in public where all the smells and food is...
You don't need to eat snacks if you are not hungry between meals, but the nuts are good- but measure out your portions.
Celery with some homemade nut butter on top is good or cream cheese.
a pc of turkey and cheese... any of my homemade cookies or treats are VERY low sugar and carbs.

YOU CAN do it... Just hold your tummy and say "I AM NOT ALLOWED" Thats what I did. LOL

Some tips if you are having trouble

  • First make sure that you are staying under the 15/6. 15 sugars and 6 servings of carbs for the whole day. Thats no more than 5 sugars and 2 servings of carbs per meal.
  • Track all of your sugar/carbs. Add everything from your meal together and count them that way.
  • Try to stop eating whole grain carbs after 3pm.
  • Make sure you drink lots of water.
  • Count everything that you put into your mouth. Even sauces - everything , check labels.
  • Make sure that you don't eat any artificial sugars. Check labels, if it says sugar free - look in the ingredients, look for....sucralose, aspartame, saccharine in the ingredients. Those are BAD!
  • Going #2 is a big problem when a lot of people start the BFC. I have solved that problem with Clear Benefiber in my morning coffee and a scoop of Super Seed w/water in the afternoon. (you can buy the super seed on Amazon.com it is the cheapest).
  • Choose your carbs wisely. Try to pick the carbs that will give you the lowest count of carbs, sugar and calories and the most fiber.

I hope this helps.
