Yish - foot still hurts...

Good Morning Friends,

I am sorry to tell those of you that live in a cold area, but its beautiful, clear, sunny and warm again today over here - 85-88.

I am so tired this morning. Hubby - for some reason woke up like 4 time to use the bathroom and that lil RAT kept jumping on the bed like 10 times. She is SO bad when he is around and not like that at ALL when its just me. I am gonna have to put her in the crate tonight - for my own sanity. Between the 2 of THEM - Yish - LOL

My breakfast yesterday was some pumpkin pancakes I had in the freezer, turkey bacon and berries.
I went to visit Maria (step-mom) and Lisa (sister). We went to the Soup Plantation for lunch. Hubby and I used to eat there quite often Before This ME... I ate some salad, a few bites of soup, broccoli-cheese and the chicken-noodle, but just ate the chicken and broth. I did eat a couple bites of 2 muffins.

We went to Old Town Pasadena and walked around in the shops. Didn't buy anything.

I wore some wedge shoes just to see if I could. HOLY CRAP!!! My foot hurt!! I was limping like a Crippy.
I put off the foot surgery for a whole year  or more because of what people told me that had any type of foot surgery. They said they regretted it because they had more pain after. It has been over 2 months and although it does not hurt on the top from the arthritis, it is still swelled inside and hurts under and inside now.

Flats for me - FOREVER!! I guess. CRAP - I did this so I could wear those F*K me pumps once in a while. He-He. Guess not...

By the time I got home it was almost 5pm and I changed into tennies and took the furry girls down the horse trails for a nice walk. That lil Rat is pissing me off though. My 2 girls are very well trained and very good. I have trained them not to bark at every dog behind a fence - because most of them are friendly. But that RAT is BAD no matter what I do I wind up almost hanging her from the leash to get her away from the fences. Not fun - I will keep working of it while she is still here. I'm sure it won't be that much more than a couple more weeks.

When I got home I ate some broccoli, chicken and shirataki noodles I sauted in sesame oil and an egg and a little chicken bullion for flavor. This was Awesome........
desert was some of the Pumpkin-Cheesecake pie with rediwhip on top.

Breakfast this morning was pancakes made with;
1tbsp of chia seeds
1/4 cup of rolled oats
Let soak in a bowl with some unsweetened almond milk for a few minutes.
add in 2 eggs, 1 scoop of protein powder - I used strawberry.
Fry on med-low heat in a frying pan coated with coconut oil spray - 1/2 of the batch at a time.
cook slow and flip then do the other half.
I have absolutely nothing to do today. Hubby is working days this week. Maybe I will go to the store. Whoop-Whoop my highlight of the day.

Have a great day where ever you are and who ever you are with. Make the best of it and don't let stupid people or stupid things control you and bring you down.

This is PurpleRosy signing off...

Keep on BFC ' n  :-)

  2. Hope the Rat let you get some sleep! Too bad about the wedgie shoes but it hasn't been too long since your surgery right? Hopefully your foot will continue to heal and you will be able to wear your fancy heels again. The pancakes look good! Can I come over for breakfast? :-)

    1. Aww you are so sweet! I live in Florida so I'll make the pancakes (your Almond Flour & Flaxseed recipe is a fav!) and enjoy them while reading your blog :-D. Wish I could share a breakfast (or any meal) with you in person! Maybe on a future visit to Cali...

  3. I think you are pushing your foot too quickly. If you don't let it heal, it will keep bothering you. Have a wonderful Thursday.

  4. I know it is almost a year since I hurt my knee and 7 months since my surgery. I was able to wear a wedge heel a few days ago to go out to dinner, but mostly just flats or sneakers for now. I agree with Dawn that you need to give it more time. the weather here is very fall like. Windy and 50's. I don't mind the fall, but had to put the heat on this morning as it was in the 30's! Hope the rat settles down. I have one like that too and no matter how hard I try I can't get him to stop barking at other dogs. I use the Caesar Milan tip and make a sound which is like a quick vibrating shhh. Almost like a buzz. That seems to help....sometimes! XO!

Some tips if you are having trouble

  • First make sure that you are staying under the 15/6. 15 sugars and 6 servings of carbs for the whole day. Thats no more than 5 sugars and 2 servings of carbs per meal.
  • Track all of your sugar/carbs. Add everything from your meal together and count them that way.
  • Try to stop eating whole grain carbs after 3pm.
  • Make sure you drink lots of water.
  • Count everything that you put into your mouth. Even sauces - everything , check labels.
  • Make sure that you don't eat any artificial sugars. Check labels, if it says sugar free - look in the ingredients, look for....sucralose, aspartame, saccharine in the ingredients. Those are BAD!
  • Going #2 is a big problem when a lot of people start the BFC. I have solved that problem with Clear Benefiber in my morning coffee and a scoop of Super Seed w/water in the afternoon. (you can buy the super seed on Amazon.com it is the cheapest).
  • Choose your carbs wisely. Try to pick the carbs that will give you the lowest count of carbs, sugar and calories and the most fiber.

I hope this helps.
