This is the Sign....

Good Morning Friends,

Well there sure has been a lot of loss and sadness around here. The older I get, the more people that I either know or love die and disappear from my life. I know not forever - but for now at least.

My grandfather died right in front of me at the age of 12 while I was visiting him in the hospital, As a teen my brother died in a fire, then when  I was pregnant with my 3rd child my other brother died, My mom died over 12 years ago,  then my dad over 2 years ago, then my son 1 year ago.

Yish - I could write a book, and that's just the deaths not the Horrible SHIT and torment I've gone thru since I was born. Whatever...

Yesterday I got the call that my Ex, my sons father died of a heart attack. From what I have heard he had been a little out of control since the death of our son a year ago. How many times did I wish for that many years ago when he completely destroyed and ruined my life. He took everything from me, but yet somehow I survived.

The last time I saw him was a year ago at his house and the funeral for our son. I am so glad that I forgave him MANY - Many years ago and let go of the hate and anger for what he had done to me. How else was I able to go on living?

I am shocked by this news and completely saddened for my other son Matthew who actually lives with him but from what he tells me seldom sees or talked to him. His father had completely withdrew which was sad since he still had his other son to lean on.

I've said this many times - but, Make peace with your loved ones. Work out whatever is wrong. Do it NOW! There might not be a later - DO YOU HEAR ME??
Let go of the sadness, and feel no guilt. But, never let go of the memories.

Quotation of the Day

There are things that we don't want to happen but have to accept, things we don't want to know but have to learn, and people we can't live without but have to let go. ~Author Unknown

No more excuses about your health. Today is the day for YOU!! You can't keep putting it off until tomorrow. That might now come.......................

Have a great day and Go HUG some one for me.

  1. Wow, you have had a lot of loss in your life. For me just grandparents, but at an old age, and one close friend at 30 and then Beth. I love what you wrote and you have a lot of important messages in this post. Thank you for reminding us of what we need to do. You can never have too many reminders. XO!

  2. Wise woman! I am sorry for all of your loss. I ABHOR my kids dad and I have always wondered what I would feel like if he died. I don't want to know for their sake, but the hurt and bad feelings I have are buried and not worth thinking about. I thank God every day for the joys of today and the lessons from yesterday! You are an inspiration even in your pain.

  3. Yes, you have definitely had a lot of loss. I'm glad you let go of your anger towards your ex, but it's so sad that your other son didn't have the support he needed from his dad and now his dad is gone. It must be a weird feeling knowing how bad a husband your ex was, but still feeling bad for your kids because their dad is gone!
Hugs to you, My Friend! Thanks for your words of wisdom!

Some tips if you are having trouble

  • First make sure that you are staying under the 15/6. 15 sugars and 6 servings of carbs for the whole day. Thats no more than 5 sugars and 2 servings of carbs per meal.
  • Track all of your sugar/carbs. Add everything from your meal together and count them that way.
  • Try to stop eating whole grain carbs after 3pm.
  • Make sure you drink lots of water.
  • Count everything that you put into your mouth. Even sauces - everything , check labels.
  • Make sure that you don't eat any artificial sugars. Check labels, if it says sugar free - look in the ingredients, look for....sucralose, aspartame, saccharine in the ingredients. Those are BAD!
  • Going #2 is a big problem when a lot of people start the BFC. I have solved that problem with Clear Benefiber in my morning coffee and a scoop of Super Seed w/water in the afternoon. (you can buy the super seed on Amazon.com it is the cheapest).
  • Choose your carbs wisely. Try to pick the carbs that will give you the lowest count of carbs, sugar and calories and the most fiber.

I hope this helps.
