Cooler weather now.

Hello Friends,

The weather is so awesome over here now. It finally cooled down a bit and is so much better to me than 95-100 every day.
This was the view I had today while on my walk with the furry girls. Love it here.

Here's what I've been eating.

My breakfast yesterday, I ran our of eggs so I just improvised. Alpine valley 12 grain toast with my homemade almond butter on top, a few blueberries, 1 strawberry and a few bites of cottage cheese.
Lunch was steamed mushrooms, kale, black beans, turkey sausage crumbles and a spoon or 2 of alfredo sauce.
snack was 2 cookies I made the other day. Almost Sugar free Almond Flour Chocolate Chip Cookies
They have no oil, milk or eggs and taste very good.
recipe down the page here:  http://purplerosy.blogspot.com/p/cookies.html

For dinner I had some broccoli and brussel sprouts and some wings.

Breakfast this morning was a pumpkin muffin with some walnuts and blueberries inside and I ate it with some Natures Hollow Preserves on top.
The usual; 1tbsp of ea: coconut oil, chia seeds, coconut and almond flour, ground flaxseed,
some cinnamon, pumpkin pie spice, vanilla, and a heaping spoon of pumpkin puree, with enough USVAMilk to make it the right consistency.
Lunch today was a hotlink with some cheese and sour kraut and mustard on some romaine lettuce.
Hubby and I left and went to see the movie Rush. He had to work nights so  we went to the 1pm showing and of course I had popcorn and water.

He was telling me that he remembers seeing the rival between those 2 race drivers back then in the 70's.  It was a great movie. We both loved it.

When I got home took the furry girls for a walk and came back and ate some wings and 2 Chocolate-pumpkin-cheesecake-muffins.
OK so Hubby saw a video on C-net.com about this coffee maker. Its made by Bunn, you know the one that makes mostly commercial ones. You always see them in restaurants and like 7-11 and stuff like that.

This is called the Bunn My Cafe MCU. It makes 1 cup at a time and has 4 different attachments so you can do Hot water, tea bags, the K-cups, or there is one for using your own ground coffee.

It's just Hubby and I and he is always wanting a cup of coffee at the weirdest times because of his schedule. This is Awesome. I am drinking a cup of peppermint tea right now as I am typing.

Believe it or not the reviews of people said they loved it way better then the kuerig. We actually ordered it online at of all places Lowes, then drove over to pick it up.

The Rat is still here for now and she is so happy - I know she will be sad when she goes back home. She has so much freedom and loves chasing the birds in the back yard. LOL
My foot is doing good. I am not happy with the scar but its not too bad. I actually wore wedges yesterday for about 1 hour when we went to Lowes to pick up the coffee maker. I wanted to see if it hurt. It did not hurt in the joint on the top like it used to, but kind of hurt on the ball of the joint of the big toe just for a min. As you can see it has been - what? 7 weeks now and it is still swelled up on the inside. Don't know why or for how long.

Oh yeah the little scar under the long one is from me dropping my laptop right on my Bad foot. Oh yeah - that was NOT fun.

Time to give me a pedicure now. HUH?

Well, have a nice weekend. I hope you are enjoying this cooler weather.

This is PurpleRosy signing off...

Keep on BFC ' n  :-)

  1. Glad it's cooling off a little. I'm on vacation this week. We are heading with the kids to Turks and Caicos ( Providenciales island) for the week. Been there several times before and it's great. Warm water, sunshine and white sand. Talk to you all when we get back!

  3. Looks like a good coffee maker. We drink too much coffee for me to justify a single brew machine, as much as I'd love a fresh cup every time I want one. Have a great day!

Some tips if you are having trouble

  • First make sure that you are staying under the 15/6. 15 sugars and 6 servings of carbs for the whole day. Thats no more than 5 sugars and 2 servings of carbs per meal.
  • Track all of your sugar/carbs. Add everything from your meal together and count them that way.
  • Try to stop eating whole grain carbs after 3pm.
  • Make sure you drink lots of water.
  • Count everything that you put into your mouth. Even sauces - everything , check labels.
  • Make sure that you don't eat any artificial sugars. Check labels, if it says sugar free - look in the ingredients, look for....sucralose, aspartame, saccharine in the ingredients. Those are BAD!
  • Going #2 is a big problem when a lot of people start the BFC. I have solved that problem with Clear Benefiber in my morning coffee and a scoop of Super Seed w/water in the afternoon. (you can buy the super seed on Amazon.com it is the cheapest).
  • Choose your carbs wisely. Try to pick the carbs that will give you the lowest count of carbs, sugar and calories and the most fiber.

I hope this helps.
