Eat to BE Healthy...

Good Day Friends,

How are you all doing? How is your healthy eating coming? No matter whats going on in your life, don't let your feelings dictate what and how you eat. Remember to keep eating healthy and not too much of it even if you are sad, depressed, angry, hurt, and yes even HAPPY..

In the past I have always let my feelings control what I put in my mouth, but not any more. I have learned so much in the past 3 1/2 years. I have learned that I can eat to be healthy not to fill an emotional need. Yeah - its nice that the food should taste good too. That is definitely a plus.

I used to say; "Don't tell me what to eat, I will eat what ever I want - when ever I want - I am an ADULT!"

Ha-ha - yeah I was and still am kind of a bitch at times. But now I can blame it on my hormones. Yup - that is my excuse. LOL

Since I have reached my goal weight of where I thought would  be healthy for me - I have learned how to just keep eating the same healthy way in order to keep the weight off. I always thought that between 145-150 would be a great weight of my height at 5' 6 1/2" and I was right. I actually wear a size 6 now and feel real healthy.

Of course I still and probably always will think my thighs are FAT!! But I just put my clothes back on and take another look - Oh - not so bad now. LOL

Breakfast Thursday, was Biscuits that I made with Natures Hollow preserves, eggs with a bit of cheese and berries.
 Lunch was a grilled cheese sandwich on Alpine Valley 12 grain bread with tomato and avocado inside. YUM

 snack was a couple strawberries with some of my homemade chocolate-hazelnut butter on top. YUM again.
 Dinner was 6 wings and a spinach salad and I ate a grain-free brownie and rediwhip for desert.

Breakfast yesterday was more of the biscuits with Natures hollow, eggs, avocado and berries.
 Lunch was a Chicken-crust-pizza
snack was the last 2 BFC thin-mint cookies from the freezer.

Dinner was a spinach salad and a cheesecake muffin for desert.

The weather is beautiful over here lately - just under 90 every day and clear and warm. Me and my furry girls make sure to go for our walk every day. Here is a picture of a house just up the street where they have a horse in the back yard. I just love our new house and new neighborhood.

Some tips if you are having trouble

  • First make sure that you are staying under the 15/6. 15 sugars and 6 servings of carbs for the whole day. Thats no more than 5 sugars and 2 servings of carbs per meal.
  • Track all of your sugar/carbs. Add everything from your meal together and count them that way.
  • Try to stop eating whole grain carbs after 3pm.
  • Make sure you drink lots of water.
  • Count everything that you put into your mouth. Even sauces - everything , check labels.
  • Make sure that you don't eat any artificial sugars. Check labels, if it says sugar free - look in the ingredients, look for....sucralose, aspartame, saccharine in the ingredients. Those are BAD!
  • Going #2 is a big problem when a lot of people start the BFC. I have solved that problem with Clear Benefiber in my morning coffee and a scoop of Super Seed w/water in the afternoon. (you can buy the super seed on Amazon.com it is the cheapest).
  • Choose your carbs wisely. Try to pick the carbs that will give you the lowest count of carbs, sugar and calories and the most fiber.
