Good Morning Friends,
Last night when Hubby got home we were talking and he was telling me how the guys at the F.D. saw the pictures of us from the fair the other day and said how good and skinny I looked.
I told him, Its weird cause no matter how skinny I actually am I always think I look fat in pictures. The pants I was wearing were a size 8 and too big cause I wear a 6 now. I am not gonna throw them away for 1 size. To me I thought in the picture that my hips look FAT!!
I realize my hips and thighs look fat to ME because of how BIG I actually was before. I guess I will never have that beach body again and I am OK with that. I have to keep reminding myself that I went from a size 20 to a now 6. That is a major feat in itself.
My point is, that no matter how well we do we will always look at ourselves and feel that
it's NEVER ENOUGH!!
So friends, we MUST make peace with ourselves. Set your goal weight and after we have reached our goal that we set for ourselves - like me at my age and many of you, accept the fact that we are not perfect and never will be. \
Another VERY important point is to find a way while you are losing weight that you can eat that way FOREVER. If its just a temporary diet - it won't work in the long run and you will gain it back.
I am SO happy with the way I eat now. We watch commercials for pizza for instance, and I say to hubby, I can't believe how much I LOVED that before, I would eat 4 pieces easy....Now I found a way to get the cheese and pepperoni that I love making crusts myself the healthy way.
Monday I got a sweet itch and decided to make some lemon-cheesecake muffins
and some cauliflower pancakesand some grain free brownies
I am so lucky to have a gorgeous view like this when my furry girls and I walk every day now.
What I've been eating;
breakfast monday
and tuesday
Lunch monday, cauliflower pancakes with turkey and horseraddish mayo
lunch tuesday, cauliflower pancakes with sauted onion, kale, sausage crumbles a bit of braggs, and 1 egg scrambled in.
no snack monday, snack tuesday was a smoothie- usva milk, ice, chocolate whey MRM protei n powder, 1 tbsp chia seeds, 1 strawberry.
dinner monday was a spinach salad and 6 buffallo wings
dinner tuesday, was tuna, mayo, cheese, bacon crumbles, onion crunch, 1/2 cucumber cut up and baby spinach.
monday and tuesday I ate a grain free brownie and rediwhip for desert.
That's all for now - have a great day.
This is PurpleRosy signing off...
Keep on BFC ' n :-)

ReplyDeleteWhile you were losing weught, did you eat the treats that you make now? I remember that you ate dk chocolate and rediwhip. Just wondering about the other stuff. Love reading your blog and facebook posts. I don't respond often but know that I look forward to reading them. Barb T.
ReplyDeleteNo I don't think I did. But I would have if I knew about them - they are healthy and low carb, low sugar, and low calorie too.
DeleteGirl! Where do I begin!? Everything looks so good that you shared! What is that first picture of? Is that blueberry pancakes!? They look so yummy! As does everything else!
ReplyDeleteYour advise is right on about making this way of eating a lifestyle change. it has been one year yesterday that we(my husband and myself) started this BFC journey. I will not go back to eating sugar or everything else I left behind that day. I've only lost 30lbs and have a long way to go, but I will not give up. I know I need to really go back and do better at counting my sugars and carbs. It's been a very stressful 6 months that I have been taking care of my parents. We just put them in an assisted living home so hopefully my life will slow down and I can get back on track and take the rest of this weight off.
Rosalie, your blog and your encouragement is so helpful. Thank you!
That first thing is a muffin. 1 egg, 1 tbsp of coconut oil, 1 tbsp chia seeds, 1 tbsp of each coconut flour and almond flour, some USVA Milk, and cinnamon, stevia if you want, crushed walnuts and a few blueberries.
DeleteYour smoothie looks yummy! Hopefully I can make the cauliflower pancakes soon. Have a great day and thanks for blogging!
ReplyDeleteGreat advice as always. Of course I'd expect no less from you! Love your view. So glad you are happy in your new home! XO!
ReplyDeleteI think you look great, but I know how hard it is to really see ourselves. I love the cartoon pic.
ReplyDeleteYou look great, but I know exactly what you mean. I can always point something out something on my body that I don't like :) And that'swhy I hate having my picture taken :)
