It's Like Desert HOT here...

Good Morning Friends,

How is everyone doing in this incredible heat we are having?? Its between 105-110 over here for a couple days. That's like Desert hot!! I am so glad the A/C works good in our new house.

The past 2 days there has been a few people coming over to take the Free rocks from our yard and they are so grateful. If you were to buy them in bulk like that - they are expensive. There was this very nice man and his daughter that came over a few times. He said he is making a stone wall and stone floor area in his back yard. He was working that poor girl to death. Well she said she was 21 so I guess it's OK. LOL
He said hes coming back on Tuesday to pull all my weeds in the back for FREE for me in exchange for all the rocks he is taking. He is so sweet I almost cried.

Its so hot the dogs don't even want to go outside to potty. I have to force them.

Breakfast yesterday was 2 cheesecake muffins and berries.
Lunch was veggies, quinoa, and tuna with some chicken bullion and cumin for flavor.
For My snack yesterday I made a protein shake with, 1 scoop of chocolate whey protein powder, USVAM, ice, some raspberries and blueberries, 1tb of nut butter and chia seeds. It was refreshing and good.

For dinner I just had a salad and a few bites of clemmy's after.

Even though it was so super hot yesterday I managed to make some homemade coconut and almond butters.
These were my old stools I had before. I really loved them - they were very well made, backless and swiveled. I had 4 and they were way too short and I felt like a child, so I sold them on Craigslist for only $100.
So I have been looking for someone else maybe in that same situation to get some used ones in good condition. I realized that after I sold them how expensive stools are. Yish!! We got really luck and  found these for only $50 each. We love how unique they look. and they swivel.
And I can REACH - woo hoo!
Breakfast this morning is toast with my homemade butters on top, eggs with spinach and cheese and berries. A great way to start such a HOT day.
Well stay cool and have a good rest of the weekend.

This is PurpleRosy signing off...

Keep on BFC ' n  :-)

  1. It's hot where I am too, but not that hot! That is too hot, glad your A/C is working. Love those new stools. I toasted hazelnuts today but somehow I feel like if I made the nutella you make it wouldn't be as good as yours. Maybe I'll get the nerve to try it anyway. :)

  2. Hot here, but only in the low 90's. At the beach this week, so there is a breeze, but still have the AC on in the house. You are a good seller and buyer. Great idea with the rocks!! XO!

  5. Hi Rosalie,

We are having a heatwave in the Pacific Northwest as well. It is supposed to be in the 90's today. Problem is it rarely gets this hot here and the majority of people don't have AC. We don't. Just have to sweat it out until it passes. Take care!

Some tips if you are having trouble

  • First make sure that you are staying under the 15/6. 15 sugars and 6 servings of carbs for the whole day. Thats no more than 5 sugars and 2 servings of carbs per meal.
  • Track all of your sugar/carbs. Add everything from your meal together and count them that way.
  • Try to stop eating whole grain carbs after 3pm.
  • Make sure you drink lots of water.
  • Count everything that you put into your mouth. Even sauces - everything , check labels.
  • Make sure that you don't eat any artificial sugars. Check labels, if it says sugar free - look in the ingredients, look for....sucralose, aspartame, saccharine in the ingredients. Those are BAD!
  • Going #2 is a big problem when a lot of people start the BFC. I have solved that problem with Clear Benefiber in my morning coffee and a scoop of Super Seed w/water in the afternoon. (you can buy the super seed on Amazon.com it is the cheapest).
  • Choose your carbs wisely. Try to pick the carbs that will give you the lowest count of carbs, sugar and calories and the most fiber.

I hope this helps.
