Be jealous of our weather - or just come Visit...

Hello Friends,

I have had a rough day and will get to that in a minute. My breakfast yesterday was some eggs with sauted green pepper and onion and a bit of cheese, 1./2 avocado, berries and 2 homemade corn tortillas with some chi seeds inside. Delish!!
The weather has been wonderful over here and I wish you could come and see just why we love to live in Southern California. This is the view I saw Sunday pulling out of my driveway. Just gorgeous..

Hubby and I decided to go to the Pomona fairgrounds where they had a Free HomeShow. Well not exactly free - we had to pay $10 for parking. We got flyers for things we might need when we ever move into our home. The agent said the Short-sale is still on so ---we still wait...

After the HomeShow we went to the movies and saw Oz. I had popcorn. I was hungry it was past lunchtime. Then like usual he wanted to go and sneak into another one. I wanted to see Jack the giant slayer - but he refused and we went into Safe Haven instead.

I left out of there crying and pretty traumatized. I have been abused my past 2 relationships and I don't know why but I felt really weird for many hours after.

We got home and all I ate was some broccoli and brussel sprouts for dinner after all the popcorn.

My breakfast this morning was 2 Alpine Valley toast with some cottage cheese and natures hollow on top, 2 eggs with a bit of cheese and the last of the blackberries.
OK - well I finally made a appointment at the foot doctor again. For those of you that don't know, I was told that I have Degenerative Arthritis and need to have my foot operated on. I can't wear heals anymore cause it hurts, which is a shame since I lost all this weight and can't wear my cute shoes.

They are gonna call me and I will have the surgery as soon as I can. So that means at least 3 weeks or more with no daily walks, and even after that maybe only a hobble. We will see...

When I left there I stopped in Chino Hills and checked my PO box and then stopped at Chipotlle for one of my favorite salads.
I then went to Downey to our new Tax guy so he can finish our business tax problem. I got there at 1:30 and didn't leave until 5pm. It then took me 1 hour and 20 minutes to get back home thru the California Traffic. YUCK! Hence the not so great day...

I took the girls for a 1 mile walk. Peaches is doing much better now. Hubby picked us up some boston Market on the way home and now my tummy is much better. I had turkey, creamed spinach and broccoli.

I hope you all have a nice day tomorrow.

This is PurpleRosy signing off...

Keep on BFC ' n  :-)

  1. Oh, I'm jealous! It's absolutley pouring, torrential sheets of rain here. Such a blah day. That's ok because Im recovering from me surgery yesterday so I have to sit all day anyway. I know what it's like to hobble around. I have been doing it for three months now. I hope this clean out of the knee helps, but so far, I'm not feeling optimistic. Take care and enjoy the southern cali weather!! XO

  2. I would love to come visit! Our weather is AWFUL!!! I am getting so tired of ugly gray days.
I wish you great luck on your surgery! Make sure that you let us know so we can say a prayer or two.
I do have to say that even though we have crappy weather, we don't have traffic like CA has!

  3. Ahhhh - thanks for sharing the beautiful California pictures. You remember what the Midwest looks like this time of year - brownish grass, mud/rain/snow and cold! Ditto what Kay said - we don't have the traffic congestion so I guess that's the tradeoff. Hope you get an answer soon on your foot. I probably will never eat cottage cheese on toast but it always looks tasty in your pictures.

Some tips if you are having trouble

  • First make sure that you are staying under the 15/6. 15 sugars and 6 servings of carbs for the whole day. Thats no more than 5 sugars and 2 servings of carbs per meal.
  • Track all of your sugar/carbs. Add everything from your meal together and count them that way.
  • Try to stop eating whole grain carbs after 3pm.
  • Make sure you drink lots of water.
  • Count everything that you put into your mouth. Even sauces - everything , check labels.
  • Make sure that you don't eat any artificial sugars. Check labels, if it says sugar free - look in the ingredients, look for....sucralose, aspartame, saccharine in the ingredients. Those are BAD!
  • Going #2 is a big problem when a lot of people start the BFC. I have solved that problem with Clear Benefiber in my morning coffee and a scoop of Super Seed w/water in the afternoon. (you can buy the super seed on Amazon.com it is the cheapest).
  • Choose your carbs wisely. Try to pick the carbs that will give you the lowest count of carbs, sugar and calories and the most fiber.

I hope this helps.
