Can't wait to move...

Good Morning,

I just don't know what's wrong with me lately but yesterday I came home in tears after my walk. Yeah - just crying like a baby for quite a while. When we lived in Chino Hills I walked my dogs every day and I never EVER remember getting bothered. I even walked thru empty fields all the time which you would think would not be safe - but never felt nervous over there.

Since we moved over to this older part of Rancho I get harassed minimum of at least once a week. Came home in tears today. I hate not feeling good to go for a walk!!

Since Hubby told me about the homeless guys living in the bushes near us - I see them now. I saw one sitting at the bus stop talking to himself and acting really CRAZY!! I thought if I walk on the very busy streets it would be safer for me, but I am starting to think twice about that. That's where I get bothered a lot.

Remember the guys in the black SUV that laughed at me and yelled at me?? Well after I passed the crazy guy that same F**N SUV passed me again and rolled their window down and laughed and yelled at me again!!! I have to remove my wedding ring when I walk because I don't want anyone to see it. I got chased by stray dogs many times.

Maybe I am being a OLD BABY but I don't feel quite as safe over here when we walk. My neighbor walked with me twice a long time ago but most people are not as determined as me to get my daily walks in - they just don't want to at ALL!! Lazy I guess or either they just don't like ME!! Maybe I do something wrong??

I haven't said but my weight is up. This morning I must confess to 153. YIKES. After my period skipped it started doing it slowly. I am gonna stop eating sweets for a while and no more popcorn at the movies and see if that helps. I don't really eat that many though. I eat really healthy and don't even eat that many carbs.

I think my mood and hormones lately has a lot to do with it. Waiting for the short-sale, NO-Sleep, passing the fridge and seeing pictures of Aaron all the time, having a daughter who is having another baby and lives on the other side of the US, Maybe I'm just alone too much - I just don't know. All of the above maybe??

Here's what I ate yesterday;

Breakfast my pancakes and some berries.
Lunch was a salad at Chipotles; lettuce, black beans, a little grilled peppers and onions, meat, spicy salsa, cheese - (no sour cream or guacamole this time) It was such a gorgeous day we sat outside. 70 degrees.
dinner was a little cucumber and tomato cut up with bacon bits canned chicken and some salad dressing. **Now see - this is something I have been doing that I NEVER did while losing, eating more veggies that contain sugar, like tomatoes and cucumbers.
I did have 2 protein bites and rediwhip for desert,

Well thanks for letting me yammer on and throw up on you AGAIN!! Have a nice day.

This is PurpleRosy signing off...

Thought for the day:

Love begins with a smile, grows with a kiss, and ends with a teardrop.

Keep on BFC ' n  :-)

  1. Boo hiss to being bothered while you walk. You'll have to try switching up the times you walk...maybe that would help.

The tomato/cucumber salad looks good. Chipotle salad looks good too. There is a Chipotle within walking distance of my work, so once this nasty snow/sleet/ice passes I'll have to walk over there and try the salad.

  2. I will be very excited for you to move too! Maybe what you should do is go walk in the neighborhood that has the house you want so you can make sure there are no mean people there! I don't blame you for tears, they are way better for you than holding emotion in!!! Have a good cry.
How many calories are in a protein bite? Just curious, not mean curious, I'm just curious! Really, I am trying to work things out in my brain!

  3. I am sorry you are feeling bad about where you are living, and that you don't feel safe or happy on your walk - that is horrid.

Kay - when I calculate the protein bits, I get 163 calories per serving, and my recipe is cut into 32 bites. I used way less sweetener in mine, so I'm not sure how much that would affect the results, but there you go!

  4. That is kind of scary! Can you drive to a better area and walk somewhere else? I used to do that a lot, but I don't have dogs. I hope you get good news about your house soon. Thanks always for the inspiration!

  5. Oh Rosalie, sorry to hear that things aren't going well for you. I have been having some of those same feelings. I think it must be the time of year too. Spring is almost here and the days will be longer and sunnier. Do you have any parks that welcome dogs near you? It's alittle more of a hassle, but we have some near us and it may make you feel safer Or take the dogs for a short walk near your house and then you go over to the park and walk yourself so you can get in the longer walk. Just a thought. You are always so up and positive for all of us, I would like to offer some of that back to you. We are always here for you!! XO

  6. I'm sorry your neighborhood isn't safe. We moved from Phoenix, Az 19 years ago to Oregon. I don't feel safe sometimes here...just the sign of the times i guess.

Hormones are a bear to deal with. I feel forya

Some tips if you are having trouble

  • First make sure that you are staying under the 15/6. 15 sugars and 6 servings of carbs for the whole day. Thats no more than 5 sugars and 2 servings of carbs per meal.
  • Track all of your sugar/carbs. Add everything from your meal together and count them that way.
  • Try to stop eating whole grain carbs after 3pm.
  • Make sure you drink lots of water.
  • Count everything that you put into your mouth. Even sauces - everything , check labels.
  • Make sure that you don't eat any artificial sugars. Check labels, if it says sugar free - look in the ingredients, look for....sucralose, aspartame, saccharine in the ingredients. Those are BAD!
  • Going #2 is a big problem when a lot of people start the BFC. I have solved that problem with Clear Benefiber in my morning coffee and a scoop of Super Seed w/water in the afternoon. (you can buy the super seed on Amazon.com it is the cheapest).
  • Choose your carbs wisely. Try to pick the carbs that will give you the lowest count of carbs, sugar and calories and the most fiber.

I hope this helps.
