Hangin with Maria today...

Hello Friends,

Well the weather over here is awesome now. Yesterday it was about 75 and sunny and clear and today it's supposed to be the same.

My breakfast yesterday was one of my scones, eggs, turkey bacon, 1/2 avocado and berries.
 If you haven't see my post yet I made some Cauliflower-Cheese-Jalapeno Muffins...They were So Cheesy Good...I ate 2 for lunch with a 1/2 cup of cottage cheese. I truly had to stop myself from eating more.
I called Maria and went over to Pasadena and picked her up to come over and spend a couple nights. On the was back home we stopped at Sam's Club to pick up a few things. By the time we got home and put the stuff away it was around 5pm so I made her go for a 1.3 mile walk with me and my furry girls. We had to go slower for her but it was nice.

Bot of my sisters Lisa and Kattie don't think Maria will eat the way I do when she moves in. I told them Sure she will. But I do know she will never give up her diet cokes. For dinner we both had a spinach salad with tomato, feta cheese, bacon bits, onion crunch, and some turkey medallions.

For desert we had one of my pumpkin Brownies crumbled up in a bowl with some redi-whip. She loved them.
Our breakfast this morning for Maria and I was 2 cauliflower-cheese muffins, turkey bacon, berries and eggs with mushrooms, baby spinach and goat cheese which she did not like (the goat cheese).

Hubby has still been working days so he said Maria and I can go to see that new scary movie MAMA during the day. He is really scared of scary movies anyways but will never admit it. LOL

I am hoping that Maria and I can go take one more look at a house Hubby and I saw a week or so again. The agent called him yesterday and said that the owner is willing to entertain all offers. It was too high for us but now maybe he came back down to earth. I just want to see it one more time with a second woman opinion before we maybe make an offer. We'll see..

  1. I love your food, maybe after you move I'll come live with you too, just kidding. I don't think my husband would like that.
    Today was the end of week one and I only loss 2 lbs.
    I think I need to cut back on the sodium, I have high blood pressure and can't take diuretics. I am feeling good.

  2. Try sneaking Maria a Cola flavored Zevia...the darker blue can. I bet that will convince her to give up diet sodas. Just don't show her the can...let me know if it works!

Some tips if you are having trouble

  • First make sure that you are staying under the 15/6. 15 sugars and 6 servings of carbs for the whole day. Thats no more than 5 sugars and 2 servings of carbs per meal.
  • Track all of your sugar/carbs. Add everything from your meal together and count them that way.
  • Try to stop eating whole grain carbs after 3pm.
  • Make sure you drink lots of water.
  • Count everything that you put into your mouth. Even sauces - everything , check labels.
  • Make sure that you don't eat any artificial sugars. Check labels, if it says sugar free - look in the ingredients, look for....sucralose, aspartame, saccharine in the ingredients. Those are BAD!
  • Going #2 is a big problem when a lot of people start the BFC. I have solved that problem with Clear Benefiber in my morning coffee and a scoop of Super Seed w/water in the afternoon. (you can buy the super seed on Amazon.com it is the cheapest).
  • Choose your carbs wisely. Try to pick the carbs that will give you the lowest count of carbs, sugar and calories and the most fiber.
