HI Everyone,
Well it rained last night and this morning again and that makes it a bit cold (well for us anyway) around here. But it sure makes for an awesome view on my daily walk today with my Furry girls.
This is why I LOVE living here in Southern California.
Breakfast yesterday;
Lunch yesterday;
A chicken crust pizza.
Mix; 1 can of chicken, 1 egg, 1/2 c shredded cheese, garlic, red pepper, and italian spices.
form and bake on non-stick foil in pan in oven at 425 until it gets a bit brown.
Then I took out and put about 2 tbsp of hummus, a small sliced tomato and some more cheese and back in the oven for a few. REALLY GOOD!
Dinner was blackened salmon I got at Sams club in the frozen section, brussel sprouts and broccoli.
My breakfast this morning was one of Maria's homemade tamales with a bit of salsa and cheese, 1/2 avocado, and berries.
Lunch kind of looked like soup. It was 1/2 zucchini, small pc of onion, 5 small asparagus all cut up, 1/4 cup of quinoa, some chicken bullion, cumin, chicken cut up and baby spinach.
Dinner tonight will probably be my good ole stand by when Hubby is working the night shift, wings and a spinach salad. He-he
We are still looking for other houses while we are waiting for the short-sale. It is a bit tedious. It seems like in our budget we will have to some sort of work to what ever house we wind up with. I would like it to hurry up though while the interest rates are so low.
For the new people, usually when you ask a question in the comments, we will normally reply directly under that question. Just FYI...
Let us know if you are stuck or need any help or anything and we will all do our best to help you reach YOUR goals too.. Remember: It takes a village..................
I hope everyone is doing well, check in and let us know what's going on.
This is PurpleRosy signing off...
My thought for the day:
Your journey cannot be compared to another person's journey. It will not have a set time limit. The only certainty is that it will take longer than you want it to.
Keep on BFC ' n :-)

Some tips if you are having trouble
- First make sure that you are staying under the 15/6. 15 sugars and 6 servings of carbs for the whole day. Thats no more than 5 sugars and 2 servings of carbs per meal.
- Track all of your sugar/carbs. Add everything from your meal together and count them that way.
- Try to stop eating whole grain carbs after 3pm.
- Make sure you drink lots of water.
- Count everything that you put into your mouth. Even sauces - everything , check labels.
- Make sure that you don't eat any artificial sugars. Check labels, if it says sugar free - look in the ingredients, look for....sucralose, aspartame, saccharine in the ingredients. Those are BAD!
- Going #2 is a big problem when a lot of people start the BFC. I have solved that problem with Clear Benefiber in my morning coffee and a scoop of Super Seed w/water in the afternoon. (you can buy the super seed on Amazon.com it is the cheapest).
- Choose your carbs wisely. Try to pick the carbs that will give you the lowest count of carbs, sugar and calories and the most fiber.
I hope this helps.

Love the view where you walk. I would love to live out there. However, all of our family, both sides are here on the east coast,and I would be too far away if we moved. I know I would love to live in California, especially the wine country! XO
ReplyDeleteThe view and the weather would make me happy!!! The chicken crust pizza actually looks interesting to me, unlike the cauliflower. Does it crisp up good? It does take a village, I wish more of us were blogging again. I am just grateful that you are a regular and that several people were blogging progress when I first started. It really did make a difference. Thanks Rosalie:)
ReplyDeleteI would love looking at those mountains everyday. Beautiful!
ReplyDeleteAre you trying to make me jealous?? LOL ... I can't wait for Spring here.
ReplyDeleteYou've got me hooked on wings and spinach salad....LOL! Do you buy the standard buffalo flavor or the tequila lime? I love the teq. lime ones (and unfortanetly so does my 10 yr old son....hehehe...He keeps eating them all!) Also, I didn't have any dill relish for my tuna, yesterday, so I tried the pickled jalapenos.....Uuuummmm......YUUUUMMMM! Stay warm! I traded my morning walk today for a hot shower.....It's COLD (45 degrees) at the beach....Brrrr!
ReplyDeleteCarey
Hi Carey, I buy both flavors and love them both. I just grill them under the broiler until they get real crispy - then flip. YUM.
DeleteCall me this next week so we can get together, hubby is working day shift many days in a row.
