Hello Friends,
What I ate today-Friday;
Breakfast - 2 pancakes from yesterday, turkey bacon and berries
Lunch was 2 slices of zucchini-cheese bread-1 with avocado and tuna left from yesterday and the other had some coconut pumpkin butter and a little bit of spinach with dressing.
snack today was celery with some almond-pumpkin butter I made before.
Dinner is brussel sprouts and chicken.
After doing the Belly Fat Cure for close to 3 years now I know that we are all not the same. For some reason - which I have no idea why - I was able to stick with this new lifestyle of eating and NEVER veer from it, even when I hit a plateau while I wasn't losing at the time.
I am not sure where my strength came from. I have never dieted before that time and always ate what ever I wanted. I knew that at my age I would NEVER be able to change my appearance. I gave up on myself completely.
Does that sound familiar to anyone out there reading this?
The Original BFC is what saved my life and what worked for me. Not the Fast Track or Grain Free or anything else - the ORIGINAL BFC. It does however take a tremendous amount of willpower to get past that 2 month HUMP. That is how long it took my body or system to get used to eating HEALTHY.
For me it was not as easy as some make it seem. Some of the comments I was reading like:
"OH - I am not hungry at all!" Yeah right - I was hungry when I woke up and starving every night and starving when I went to bed for those first 2 months.
"I am losing 4-9 lbs every week" OK that never happened to me. 7 lbs the first week, 5 the second, then nothing for a few weeks. Besides it is much healthier to lose 1-2 lbs a week. You have a much better chance of keeping it off forever that way.
We Are ALL Different and that stuff did not happen to me.
But the difference between me and others who fail is; I NEVER GAVE UP!! I NEVER STOPPED!!
That is the best advice I can give you.
Since I started the BFC there has been so many changes and different FADS out there. That's because everyone wants a QUICK FIX, that MIRACLE weight loss angel to come and tap you on the shoulder telling you what to do.
Well that's not gonna happen.
So now I just want to say: What works for SOME, May not work for others.....
It's all in your head whether you will succeed at this weight loss thing or not. Its all up to YOU!
So Flip that switch and MAKE THAT CHANGE!!
Nobody is gonna help you! You have to do it For yourself.
But NEVER BY YOURSELF!!
We have this little Blogging community here that we have all started to support each other - get help - tips - advise - healthy recipes - and MORE SUPPORT.
Join this blog if you haven't already, start leaving comments in the comment section below and then do the same for the other BFC blogs on my list. We are all more successful in numbers.
This is PurpleRosy signing off...
Keep on BFC ' n :-)

Some tips if you are having trouble
- First make sure that you are staying under the 15/6. 15 sugars and 6 servings of carbs for the whole day. Thats no more than 5 sugars and 2 servings of carbs per meal.
- Track all of your sugar/carbs. Add everything from your meal together and count them that way.
- Try to stop eating whole grain carbs after 3pm.
- Make sure you drink lots of water.
- Count everything that you put into your mouth. Even sauces - everything , check labels.
- Make sure that you don't eat any artificial sugars. Check labels, if it says sugar free - look in the ingredients, look for....sucralose, aspartame, saccharine in the ingredients. Those are BAD!
- Going #2 is a big problem when a lot of people start the BFC. I have solved that problem with Clear Benefiber in my morning coffee and a scoop of Super Seed w/water in the afternoon. (you can buy the super seed on Amazon.com it is the cheapest).
- Choose your carbs wisely. Try to pick the carbs that will give you the lowest count of carbs, sugar and calories and the most fiber.
I hope this helps.

You just keep telling us all what to do and maybe someday it will all sink in!
ReplyDeleteDid you see the new movie Skyfall yet? I think that is the name? James Bond? I heard it was really good.
Have a great weekend:)
Amen to that Sista!! You rock girlfriend. Just keep pounding it in our heads. It's bound to stick one of these days!!! XOXOXOXO
ReplyDeleteim glad i am not the only one who cant seem to get this sinked in; ive realized theres many of us who cant be perfect like you! but we try :)
ReplyDeletethats all there is to it; keep trying as long as we are trying to better ourselfs in whatever plan it may be :)
Rosalie, what was your longest plateau? I'm going on six weeks now. I haven't cheated but I know I may be eating more than I was before so I'm going to crack down on myself. Just curious what the longest stretch was you went without losing. :)
ReplyDeleteOn the tab that says my weight loss progress is where I posted my weight every week. As you will see I never really went more than a few weeks with no loss.
DeleteYou need to change something up cause your body got used to what you are eating now. I am thinking. I have read a lot that if you eat less or too little it might not be good. Just to keep in mind.
You can figure it out and you can do it :-)
I LOVE the original BFC. I feel happy, healthy, and great. My biggest problem with it has always been that I stop losing weight after a week because I start to over eat on the 0/0 foods. So that's my biggest piece of advice to those who aren't seeing any progress while doing it - I know that 'calories don't count' to the plan but in my experience that's simply not true - is to really watch portions.
ReplyDeleteThanks for keeping up Rosalie, and have a great weekend!
Amen!!! Love you Sistahfriend! Thanks for your help!!!!
ReplyDeleteI think this blogging community really helps too! Everyone is so encouraging and they really do come up with advice, ideas, and recipes that help you along. It's easy to do the BFC but also easy to go over the allowances even with eating the right foods - so be careful!
ReplyDeleteGreat post Rosy! Very motivating. I think we all need the motivators as we go along. I tried Atkins and another super low carb diet and I found BFC worked REALLY WELL for me because it wasn't too extreme. It really is a sensible way of eating and I think Jorge is on to something with the sugar.
ReplyDeleteI'd love it if you could post more pics! You looked great in that dress you bought for your husband's recent dinner/party/shindig. When I see pics like that I think, "Wow, I could do that too!"
