Weight better and a new bread today...

Hi Friends,

Well rain is on the way here soon. I am feeling a bit better but I guess it will never really go away all the way. Hubby is still having fun the driving around Subaru execs again today.

My weight this morning was down from 151 - 148.5 this morning. That's not bad, 2.5 lbs in just 2 days. If I keep up like this, in 1 more week I can get back to my lowest of 145. I am 5' 7" tall so as long as I stay bet 145-150 I am good and happy with that. Keep in mind that we as women - our weight will fluctuate between 3 lbs overnight sometimes, so have a range in mind that you can live with.

This was my dinner last night, a pc of Tilapia, brussel sprouts, and 1/2 avocado which I was craving for some reason. I find that when I eat fish for dinner my weight is lower in the morning - Hmmm.
My breakfast this morning was some protein pancakes again made with 2 eggs, cream cheese 1 scoop of protein powder and 1 tbsp of almond flour. turkey bacon and berries.
I have been seeing so many posts on FaceBook from Julian Bakery and their healthy breads. I've been wanting to try them. There is no place near me that sells it, but I found a health store about 30 min away that had it. I bought 2 loaves of coconut flour paleo and 2 loaves of almond flour paleo bread. They were frozen already so I can keep them in the freezer. The price was $7.99 each - the same as if you were to order it on the website.
So this is what they look like. The Left is almond and the right is coconut. They are very heavy and dense and if you like your bread fluffy - then this might not be the bread for you.
I have been eating so healthy and with out sugar for so long, it doesn't bother me at all. But I must say that Oasis Low-carb-sprouted-flaxseed-bread is my all time favorite.

For lunch I put some mayo, pepper jack cheese, avocado and 1 small pc of fish left over from last night on top of the paleo bread. And I ate my last chocolaty treat after.
I am almost done with the blanket and am doing the edging now. I decided to do a scalloped kind of edge.
I haven't crocheted in quite a few months and its making my right arm ache a tiny bit. Oh the woes of getting older. LOL
I don't think we will be getting our walk in today - its only 2:30 and the clouds are a plenty in the sky already.

I guess my dinner will be a spinach salad any my favorite wings.

I hope you are all doing well. Let us know you everyone is doing today??

This is PurpleRosy signing off...

Keep on BFC ' n  :-)

  1. How would you rate the bread? I want to buy it too, but I dont know..I mean we both cook and know how coconut flour and almond flour bake, so how does it compared to making our own? is it more dense than your homemade breads? dos it actually hold well? can you please please expand on this! I really want to buy it. :)
    thank you!

  3. I like and am impressed by your crocheting. It's looking pretty and professional. The rain finally caught up over/down here and I think it started raining around 8pm last night. It's still raining so I'm procrastinating on going to work....no fun running around in a suit and heels in the rain :( So I see everyone wants to know about the bread. Is it worth the price or are you going to stick with Oasis? Also, how were those flavored liquid stevias? Do you like them better than the packets (dry)?
Have fun in this rain...hope the puppies get their walk.

    1. I do like the liquid flavored sweetleaf stevias. You can add as much or little as you want.
I will let you all know on my post later what I think about the bread.

Some tips if you are having trouble

  • First make sure that you are staying under the 15/6. 15 sugars and 6 servings of carbs for the whole day. Thats no more than 5 sugars and 2 servings of carbs per meal.
  • Track all of your sugar/carbs. Add everything from your meal together and count them that way.
  • Try to stop eating whole grain carbs after 3pm.
  • Make sure you drink lots of water.
  • Count everything that you put into your mouth. Even sauces - everything , check labels.
  • Make sure that you don't eat any artificial sugars. Check labels, if it says sugar free - look in the ingredients, look for....sucralose, aspartame, saccharine in the ingredients. Those are BAD!
  • Going #2 is a big problem when a lot of people start the BFC. I have solved that problem with Clear Benefiber in my morning coffee and a scoop of Super Seed w/water in the afternoon. (you can buy the super seed on Amazon.com it is the cheapest).
  • Choose your carbs wisely. Try to pick the carbs that will give you the lowest count of carbs, sugar and calories and the most fiber.

I hope this helps.
