Sweater Weather over here...

Hello Friends,

I hope you all had a nice weekend. Mine was kind of boring, spent most of it alone with my 3 furry girls. Its sweater weather over here now so the other night I actually turned on the heat in the house. The poor little Rat got so frazzled every time it came on she would come over to me shaking so bad like she just saw a monster or something.
I let her sit on my lap for a little while, but then after like the 5th or 6th time it was getting old and I just told her to go lay down.

My breakfast on Sunday, toast with peanut butter, berries and I tried to use that little pan Maria gave me to make a little omelet.
Lunch was weird; I took a small avocado and mushed it with some salsa and 2 oz of cream cheese and ate it with 1/3 of a cucumber and some pork rinds.
I was feeling kind of bad all day Sunday and just kind of layed around most of the day crying. Thinking about my Son Aaron, its been 2 months now, My daughter in Michigan was feeling very ill and I am too far away to help, my other son has only spoke to me twice since Aaron passed and I am worried about him too.

I think this house was getting to me Sunday. It felt kind of a sad house.
I did manage to get up and took a walk with the girls. It was such a gorgeous day, 70 degrees and clear so we walked a little slow and enjoyed it. Not fast like usual.

Dinner was a spinach salad and chicken.

Last night after going to bed I saw a shadow in the hall - looked like a head then ducked away when I saw. Hubby is telling me I watch too many scary movies and I guess he thinks its all in my head.

My breakfast this morning was 2 slices of the zucchini-cheese bread w/Natures Hollow, turkey bacon, berries and 1 egg made in the small pan.
 Hubby and I went out looking at a bunch of houses again today. In the middle sometime I had to go to the bathroom real bad so we went out to lunch at Five-Guys Burgers. I have never been there and asked if they could wrap one in lettuce for me. But this is what I got. I asked for grilled onions, mushrooms, pickles. Not really worth it - we should have gone to In-N-Out instead. I did have a few fries too, not all those.
We stopped and had a visit with our friends Dave and Sarah near where we were looking.
Then stopped by Hubby's Brothers family in the same area. They were actually all home.
Then we stopped at Sam's Club and home.

Dinner was a spinach salad and some appetizers we got a Sam's. I had 2 bacon wrapped steak bites and 2 shrimp ones, and 1 chicken-spinach-cheese-bruccetta.
Hubby is working nights tue, wed, and thur. so I guess that means the invisibles will be coming to visit me again. I will keep you posted.

  1. I love 5 guys but I eat way too many peanuts! I learned a lesson awhile back, so we haven't been lately.
    I hope you find your dream house when it is time to move. Can you imagine packing everything back up again? Yikes, I think it would be a lot of work!
    You are lucky it is just sweater weather, it has snowed here all day. Luckily it didn't stick past my husband shoveling this morning, but it is cold!
    You do make some strange combinations of food:)

  2. Hi Rosalie. I just realized how long it has been since I sat down and wrote a blog post. So busy as usual over here. I just got back from my brothers and I'm too tired right now, but I am going to do it tomorrow. Have you seen the new post on facebook from Jorge..."I have a new free diet I can send you in 2 weeks. It's based on counting carb calories and not sugar grams or carb servings. Click "like" if you would like this NEW calorie diet.?" I am going to mention it in my blog post. What is up with that...counting carb calories?? He has to find what he believes in and stick with it in my opinion. He confuses everybody! Just wanted to let you know I'm still here....barely...but I am! LOL! XO

  3. Even though five guys screwed up the lettuce wrap it all still looks good if you eat it with a fork! Or maybe this is my "I'm hungry 'cause I'm not snacking and then looking at food pictures" speaking, lol! Do the invisibles only visit when you are home alone? I hope you find a new house soon!

  4. So 5 Guys isn't all that, huh? I've been wanting to go to the one that opened in the nearby city a few years ago and have just never made it. We did go inside once but I was turned off by 1)the prices that I saw and 2)I couldn't understand the menu or how to order for our family. So we left. Sounds like we didn't miss out on much? (Oh, and as a side note, and please omit as you see fit... visit my blog to enter for a chance to win a nice low-carb goodie package! Some tips if you are having trouble

  • First make sure that you are staying under the 15/6. 15 sugars and 6 servings of carbs for the whole day. Thats no more than 5 sugars and 2 servings of carbs per meal.
  • Track all of your sugar/carbs. Add everything from your meal together and count them that way.
  • Try to stop eating whole grain carbs after 3pm.
  • Make sure you drink lots of water.
  • Count everything that you put into your mouth. Even sauces - everything , check labels.
  • Make sure that you don't eat any artificial sugars. Check labels, if it says sugar free - look in the ingredients, look for....sucralose, aspartame, saccharine in the ingredients. Those are BAD!
  • Going #2 is a big problem when a lot of people start the BFC. I have solved that problem with Clear Benefiber in my morning coffee and a scoop of Super Seed w/water in the afternoon. (you can buy the super seed on Amazon.com it is the cheapest).
  • Choose your carbs wisely. Try to pick the carbs that will give you the lowest count of carbs, sugar and calories and the most fiber.
