Pooped Puppies...

Hi Friends,

This morning Hubby came home form working the night shift and said he changed his mind about the house and had another few for us to look at. I said don't you want to go to sleep? He never sleeps enough with working days to nights. He's all screwed up with his sleep.

So my breakfast first of course. I made a muffin with some almond flour and flaxseed and 1 tb of chia seeds, 1 egg, some USVAM, tiny bit of Natures hollow maple syrup, 1 stevia, cinnamon, and some crushed walnuts. It was good.
 We went to look at the houses and came back and just threw together some stuff for lunch.

2 of the last slices of my zucchini-cheese bread with my homemade nut butter, 4 wings, and some sliced cucumber.
 I tried to catch up on some of the shows I DVR'd while Hubby was taking a nap. After he left at 4pm me and the 3 furry girls went for a nice long walk. Over 2 miles. I pooped them out cause half the way I made them walk real fast.

 My Dinner looks weird but it was sooo good! I sauted a small zucchini in EVOO then added some garlic and baby spinach, some turkey sausage crumbles and some mozzarella cheese. Tasted Real Good!
Desert was a couple Chocolate-Almond-Protein-Bites and some stuff in a red can that looked like RediWhip but wasn't. I Don't like it - tasted too sweet. Not gonna get that kind any more. I only like RediWhip. Lesson Learned

There isn't one day that goes by that I am not so grateful that my Hubby saw Jorge on a TV show nearly 3 years ago now talking about the BFC and that he told me about the book.

I feel so amazed every time I see my before and current pictures STILL!!
I love eating this way and LOVE sharing what I have learned with all of YOU!!
One of the things I learned is that if you are not eating what you LOVE every day - this will NEVER work for you!!

  2. I can second your love for this diet. Although I recently restarted the plan (about a week ago) it's working its usual magic on me yet again! I don't know if I've lost weight but I FEEL thinner somehow.

    I went back and forth for a while with diets, went through a stressful year and gained weight, and did several versions of lower carb type diets. While I realized that the lower carb works for me, I also think this sugar watching aspect really has something to it. It makes me feel more balanced. I hope to be a success story like you some day! I think I will stick with the plan this time.

Some tips if you are having trouble

  • First make sure that you are staying under the 15/6. 15 sugars and 6 servings of carbs for the whole day. Thats no more than 5 sugars and 2 servings of carbs per meal.
  • Track all of your sugar/carbs. Add everything from your meal together and count them that way.
  • Try to stop eating whole grain carbs after 3pm.
  • Make sure you drink lots of water.
  • Count everything that you put into your mouth. Even sauces - everything , check labels.
  • Make sure that you don't eat any artificial sugars. Check labels, if it says sugar free - look in the ingredients, look for....sucralose, aspartame, saccharine in the ingredients. Those are BAD!
  • Going #2 is a big problem when a lot of people start the BFC. I have solved that problem with Clear Benefiber in my morning coffee and a scoop of Super Seed w/water in the afternoon. (you can buy the super seed on Amazon.com it is the cheapest).
  • Choose your carbs wisely. Try to pick the carbs that will give you the lowest count of carbs, sugar and calories and the most fiber.
