A Rainy Day...

Hello My Friends,

Well its finally raining over here in Southern California. That's what we get for them making that song right?

I really have nothing going on so I'll just tell you what I ate.
My breakfast Yesterday;
2 pcs of that new bread I bought at Sprouts (on my Fave Products tab), turkey bacon, avocado, eggs and berries.
I went outside it was a beautiful day around 70ish and I pulled the weeds in the front, the association has a service that mows but does nothing for the flower beds, and mowed and weedeated the back grass.

Lunch was a Zucchini crust pizza (on recipe tab)
Hubby actually went with us for our walk yesterday. I guess Hell froze over. Ha-ha

Dinner last night was spinach salad and chicken.

Breakfast this morning;
I was craving pancakes so I made some with the 3 flours, 1/4c ea. of (almond, coconut and flaxseed), some pumpkin puree and a few spices, cinnamon, pumpkin pie spice, allspice, 1 stevia pkt, baking pwdr, 2 eggs and USVAM, Oh yeah I added some Chia seeds also. I like the cream cheese ones too but these are by far my favorite. As you can see I have extra to put in the fridge for another day.

Actually they look so good in the picture I can't wait to eat some in the morning too. LOL
Lunch was 2 slices of the new bread toasted lightly with pepper jack cheese and tuna w/mayo, jalapenos, and avocado cut up with a GRAPE ZEVIA.
Hubby and I looked at 2 more houses today.

No walk today it was raining.

For dinner I had a coupon for the Hometown Buffet buy 1 dinner and get the 2nd for $3. So we went cause he was super hungry from never listening to me. He never eats at the right times and skips meals sometimes. Bad Boy!
I had some chicken (pulled off the skin), broccoli, green beans and a little roast beef, and 3 bites of a brownie.

Right now we are in our jammies and I lit the gas fireplace and we are getting ready to watch Last Resort on TV.

I hope you all have a awesome day tomorrow. Hubby will be working day shift the next 3 days in a row so I will be cleaning the house tomorrow I guess. Please check in with us - comment below and let us know what's going on with you.

This is PurpleRosy signing off...

My thought for the day:

A Successful Day

A Successful Day Positive QuoteIf I have been of service, if I have glimpsed more of the nature and essence of ultimate good, if I am inspired to reach wider horizons of thought and action, if I am at peace with myself, it has been a successful day.

Keep on BFC ' n  :-)

  1. Sounds like a nice, easy going day...especially the jammies and fire part. I have been baking more of the good stuff, and find that I really can't control those sinful cimmamon cakes, or even the redi whip lately. My weight is up and I am struggling to get it down. I really think too much of even the good stuff is sometimes a bad thing, so I am going to stay away for awhile. Sending hugs and love! XO

  2. Your pancakes look good. This week I've been trying to eat eggs for breakfast all week and stay away from pancakes and baked stuff. So far it's been working. A gas fireplace sounds wonderful and conveniant. We have wood stove.

  3. It's really quite lovely here in Cary NC! The sun is out and the colors are still beautiful! Not as vibrant as some years but still nice! Temps in the low 60's today...just right. It was nice that your Hubby was able to take a walk with you! Walking...I've so got to do that! I did get a new scale...weighs me 2lbs. more than the old, ugh! I think I am finally at a 20 lb. loss...after 3 months! I do get a little down at times, seems I should have lost more by now, BUT I will prevail (fist in the air)!!! Pattie, I do love those cinnamon cakes...so wonderful! They do make me happy! Usually just have one with breakfast, when I have them. Dawn, I would love some snow! We don't get much here in NC. Rosalie, thanks again for all you do for us BFC'ers! You rock!!!

  4. Did I miss something...what is USVAM? How much pumpkin puree did you use? Do you have a S/C for these?

    1. I used about 2 tablespoons of the pumpkin puree and the count I am not sure. 1 Batch usually makes 6-7 pancakes so you should be good if you eat no more than 3. maybe 2/1? per serving
Just take all your ingredients - add together the s/c counts and divide.

Some tips if you are having trouble

  • First make sure that you are staying under the 15/6. 15 sugars and 6 servings of carbs for the whole day. Thats no more than 5 sugars and 2 servings of carbs per meal.
  • Track all of your sugar/carbs. Add everything from your meal together and count them that way.
  • Try to stop eating whole grain carbs after 3pm.
  • Make sure you drink lots of water.
  • Count everything that you put into your mouth. Even sauces - everything , check labels.
  • Make sure that you don't eat any artificial sugars. Check labels, if it says sugar free - look in the ingredients, look for....sucralose, aspartame, saccharine in the ingredients. Those are BAD!
  • Going #2 is a big problem when a lot of people start the BFC. I have solved that problem with Clear Benefiber in my morning coffee and a scoop of Super Seed w/water in the afternoon. (you can buy the super seed on Amazon.com it is the cheapest).
  • Choose your carbs wisely. Try to pick the carbs that will give you the lowest count of carbs, sugar and calories and the most fiber.

I hope this helps.
