Wishing you a Nice Day...

Good Morning Friends,

I want to wish everyone a nice day today. The weather over here on the west coast is around 85. Perfect weather to me. I know that the Hurricane is hitting on the east coast. If you are one of those that live out that way, Please be careful and safe.
My breakfast yesterday was 2 oasis toast with butter, avocado, pepperjack cheese and eggs on top.

Lunch was just 1/2 c of cottage cheese and a few black and raspberries on top - sorry forgot the pic.

Snack was some Pirates Booty. ARGH!

My and the girls went for our daily walk.
Dinner was some broccoli and about 6 brussel sprouts with some butter and nutritional yeast on top and some wings.
Desert was 2 protein bites and rediwhip.

Remember last week when I went to my favorite Wal-Mart in Chino Hills where I used to live? Cause the one over here in Rancho SUCKS with a capital UCKS!! Well I got some of that Adams peanut butter that I used to get all the time.

For breakfast this morning I ate 2 Oasis toast w/butter and the Adams peanut butter on top, with 2 over easy eggs (Trina-LOL), turkey bacon and berries.
I am so used to making my own Nut butters out of Almonds and Hazelnuts lately the I hated the taste of the Adams now. It tasted very salty to me. HMMMM- that was interesting.

So the moral is: Make you own - it tastes WAY better. Recipes here: http://purplerosy.blogspot.com/2012/08/homemade-chocolate-hazelnut-butter.html

So now I don't know what to do with the Adams - oh well.

So last night I did not take any of those pills I got from Sprouts and I actually slept a little. I do believe they were keeping me up and stopping me up too. I hate to take any form of drugs of any kind, and I know these are an Herb, but I am just gonna go natural and try to find a way to deal with what ever is keeping me up - for now.

Please give a Warm Welcome to all the new people that have started the BFC and have joined our little Bloggin Community. Post any questions or problems that you might be having in the comment section below and we will all do our best to help you succeed.

  1. Rosalie - lol ;) I took your advice and picked up the Pirate’s Booty at Target (last shopping trip to US since we don't have them here) - the Halloween packs. My kids are excited - they are hoping there will be lots left. Considering we are getting some of that awful weather (cold and wet here) there may not be too many trick or treaters. I love the butter that I but so I haven't tried to make my own. I made your chocolate cheesecake muffins last night and am about to enjoy one with my tea. Have a great day - wish I had your weather :)

  2. That sounds delicious! I'll have to look and see what that oasis toast is all about. I'm new to the blog. :) This morning I had a hard boiled egg, some crumbled (already cooked) breakfast sausage and coffee and Half/Half. It was very good. For lunch I had canned chicken with mayo (chicken salad) on arugula with cracked pepper. I'll snack on some pumpkin seeds.

  3. Hurricane weather here, but so far we have power. I made the homemade almond butter one time and thought it was very good! Haven't tried making the chocolate hazelnut yet and that looks good too. Making some eggplant lasagna tonight if the electricity stays on, if not it's tuna salad.

  4. Have you tried melatonin? It's natural and effective when you can't sleep.

Some tips if you are having trouble

  • First make sure that you are staying under the 15/6. 15 sugars and 6 servings of carbs for the whole day. Thats no more than 5 sugars and 2 servings of carbs per meal.
  • Track all of your sugar/carbs. Add everything from your meal together and count them that way.
  • Try to stop eating whole grain carbs after 3pm.
  • Make sure you drink lots of water.
  • Count everything that you put into your mouth. Even sauces - everything , check labels.
  • Make sure that you don't eat any artificial sugars. Check labels, if it says sugar free - look in the ingredients, look for....sucralose, aspartame, saccharine in the ingredients. Those are BAD!
  • Going #2 is a big problem when a lot of people start the BFC. I have solved that problem with Clear Benefiber in my morning coffee and a scoop of Super Seed w/water in the afternoon. (you can buy the super seed on Amazon.com it is the cheapest).
  • Choose your carbs wisely. Try to pick the carbs that will give you the lowest count of carbs, sugar and calories and the most fiber.

I hope this helps.
