I hope everyone had a safe and Happy Halloween. I am passing out the Pirates Booty tonight. I have no idea how many kids will come over here because it is Gated. But whatever is left - we will eat for sure.
My Grandson Tyler in Michigan for Halloween |
Hubby was so proud of his healthy breakfast he made - See you CAN teach a old dog new tricks.
Lunch we were out running around and we stopped at Islands. I had 1/2 chicken cesar salad and a few of his fries.
dinner was a mish-mosh in a bowl. 1/2 avocado, 2 tiny tomatoes, 4 green olives, a hard boiled egg and mayo.
Desert was 2 protein bites and rediwhip.
Breakfast This morning was some more of the Cream cheese-protein pancakes but with Natures Hollow preserves on top.
Lunch was a spinach salad and a pizza quesidilla made from a smart and delicious wheat tortilla, turkey pepperoni, cheese, and a tiny tomato cut up.
We went for a walk again and 3 dogs were lose and came charging at us. They weren't too vicious , about the size of Peaches - but they thought they were. I hate it over here cause these people think they can leave their dogs out like that. Everyone was OK - THIS TIME!!
I made 2 kinds of Pumpkin Nut Butters. The one on the left is coconut-Pumpkin and the one on the right is Almond-Pumpkin.
Then I decided to make some chocolates with the nut butters in the middle like a reccess peanut butter cup
I used the liquid stevia in the chocolate when I melted it and the xylitol tastes way better by the way. Well I tried. recipe for the fudge here: chocolate-fudge-treats
OK well I got to go find some thing to eat for dinner. Mama Hungry...
This is what I wound up with - meatballs, broccoli and 4 brussel sprouts w/ a tiny bit o a good salad dressing on top.
This is PurpleRosy signing off...
Keep on BFC ' n :-)

Try mixing a little stevia with xylitol. I find when I mix them it works out well :) My new fav sweetener is Swerve (buy the confectioners and then it goes in things like melted chocolate well). I make almond butter cups all the time - I ate one tonight while my kids sorted their "haul" (made me feel part of the fun). I can't wait until I can eat like you - it's so hard when you have others to feed. I'd love to just throw my favs in a bowl and call it a meal - someday ;)
ReplyDeleteI like the swerve too!
DeleteHi Rosalie,
ReplyDeleteDoy you still take fiber supplement everyday or did you stop doing that? Just a question because I want to get better at this. slowly but surely. Not doing so well lately.
Also, I see you often snack on treats.. are they 0/0 like jorge cruise states in his book for snacks? or atleast 0 carbc counts? Sometimes as a snack I want to snack on something carby with maybe 1 carb serving (not 1 gram, i mesn one whol cabr serving or st least not under 0 grams).
Sometimes string cheese and cold cuts and nuts arent cutting it and which is why i "cheat" because i end up wanting something with more than the under 4grams rule.
THANKS!
Ashley, remember just because cheese and meat are 0/0 they still have calories. And nuts are good for you but you have to count the sugar and carbs in them usually 1/1 for 1/4 cup.
DeleteI still put the powdered clear fiber in my morning coffee and the list of vitamins I take are on my Fave products tab.
All my snacks have a s/c value. They are all different - but you have to count the s/c in everything that you put in your mouth.
For me - I've been doing this for a long time and just know what I should or should not eat. I can count in my head :-)
yes! I do know. I am going to start counting calories so i dont over do it on the protein number! :0)
DeleteOoo. your snacks are 0/0? which ones !?
none of them are 0/0. Look at the stuff they are made with and you can tell that. Please don't count the calories. That will just get you confused. We don't count calories on the BFC.
DeleteI wish I could stomach the veggies that you eat. You are a good woman!!!
ReplyDeleteI'm still not into chocolate treats, but give me a lemon bar or coffee cake! Yummy!!!
Rosalie, I know you think some of us don't follow the BFC the way we should. I am one of them, but I want you to know that everytime I log onto your page and see your meals, it really resets my mindframe and does help me to stay on the plan better. I guess what I am trying to say is that by your good example, you really keep showing us how to do it the right way, every day and in lots of situtions. I for one find it very helpful, plus you give me new ideas. So don't EVER stop!!! Hugs and love from the east coast!! XO
ReplyDeleteOne more thing...have you tried that Paleo bread. I see that you have like it on facebook. We can't get it around here, and it will be pricey to order it online, but I was going to try it just the same. Wanted to know what you thought.
ReplyDeleteI really want to try it - but like you, it is too expensive to order online. I will have to make a trip to another health food store. Maybe in Pasadena. I will let you know.
