It's Pumpkin Muffin Time...

Hello Friends,

Well here it is October and the weather is finally down to 85 the past 2 days so time for some Pumpkin Muffins. I just made a batch and the house smells so good and I am fighting everything I have to wait until after lunch to eat one.
I love the way they look made in the square muffin pan I got at Wal-Mart last year.
I decided to make some cream cheese frosting for them this time.
All done and ready to go in the fridge and in my tummy.
Yesterday I finally decided to start painting my nails again. Its been way over a month. I thought a cheery Pink was in order. I usually paint them every 2 weeks - but since Aaron I just haven't wanted to. But remember I said the beginning of this week - I am gonna try to pull myself out of this in what ever way I can.

I did the small back yard grass yesterday and I have to say, I noticed after doing things that take muscle power like that, my ET's get SOOO BAD for many hours after. Actually lately they are kind of bad.
This morning for instance I thought I would try to carry my plate, berries and coffee all at the same time over to eat - well dropped some of the berries and yeah - spilled half the coffee. I have to carry stuff one at a time  now, I just shake too much. But I must say my nails and the muffins didn't come out too lopsided.

Hubby and his friends have been driving Audi's for the rich people this week. They call themselves the Men-in-Black. I'm pretty sure today will be the last day. He said next time he could get me a job greeting the people at the airport with the signs for $15 an hour. I said sure.

Activity has been real slow on here lately. So speak up and let us know if you are having any problems and we will all do our best to help you.

Thanks for listening and have a great weekend.

This is PurpleRosy signing off...

My thought for the day:

Our Finest Moments

Our Finest Moments Positive QuoteThe truth is that our finest moments are most likely to occur when we are feeling deeply uncomfortable, unhappy, or unfulfilled. For it is only in such moments, propelled by our discomfort, that we are likely to step out of our ruts and start searching for different ways or truer answers.

Keep on BFC ' n  :-)

  1. I love that it is cooling off at night. I sleep so much better with the windows open.

I am still maintaining- although I'd like to lose another 10 pounds.

I have noticed with a few people lately, they comment on how well I look and how much weight I've lost, etc. When I tell them how I did it, they would rather keep TRYING to lose weight their own way, even though they aren't seeing results. Whatever, to each their own I guess.

I can honestly say I have only baked goodies once since Feb. This post inspires me to try some of that yummy looking lemon coconut bread you have posted.

    Have a good weekend Rosalie!!!

Some tips if you are having trouble

  • First make sure that you are staying under the 15/6. 15 sugars and 6 servings of carbs for the whole day. Thats no more than 5 sugars and 2 servings of carbs per meal.
  • Track all of your sugar/carbs. Add everything from your meal together and count them that way.
  • Try to stop eating whole grain carbs after 3pm.
  • Make sure you drink lots of water.
  • Count everything that you put into your mouth. Even sauces - everything , check labels.
  • Make sure that you don't eat any artificial sugars. Check labels, if it says sugar free - look in the ingredients, look for....sucralose, aspartame, saccharine in the ingredients. Those are BAD!
  • Going #2 is a big problem when a lot of people start the BFC. I have solved that problem with Clear Benefiber in my morning coffee and a scoop of Super Seed w/water in the afternoon. (you can buy the super seed on Amazon.com it is the cheapest).
  • Choose your carbs wisely. Try to pick the carbs that will give you the lowest count of carbs, sugar and calories and the most fiber.

I hope this helps.
