Trying to Stay Busy...

Good Morning Folks,

It has been really hot over here this past week with every day being over 100. So that means the A.C. on all day (boy I'm not gonna like my bill) and trying to stay indoors a lot.

Hubby is at that class again all day Sat and Sun and then working nights Fri-Mon, so that means me the the 3 furry girls are alone all weekend. So yesterday I tried real hard to keep myself busy.

I ate breakfast:
2 Oasis toast w/ the chocolate-hazelnut butter on top I made, 2 eggs, berries and some of my homemade Almond milk.

After I made the chocolate-hazelnut butter I didn't know what to do with it. It seemed like a good idea atthe time - but toast is all I can think of and it was GOOD.

I after I did my goofing around on the internet, Facebook, blogs and my own blog I decided to clean the 3 bathrooms. When I got up to the toilet in the master bath, I found it was leaking bad. So I turned off the water and we can't use it for now. That's a pain cause when I do my old-lady-gotta-pee in the middle of the night thing, I have to go use the other one. LOL

Then I vacuumed up and down stairs and mopped the floors. By then it was lunch time.
I had to try to make do with what I had in the kitchen. I really need to go to the store - but have been trying not to because we are supposed to move, but today I will have to breakdown and go anyways.

Tat was 1/4 cup of quinoa, celery and onion cut up, broccoli, a can of chicken, and the last of my baby spinach wilted inside. I put a few shakes of garlic, red pepper, cumin and chicken bullion.

I painted my nails BLACK to match my mood. I did OK on the toes but when it came to my fingers not so much - because of my ET's. But I tried.
My snack was some Pirates Booty. I bought a big bag and it said 1 serving was 1 /7th of the bag so I guestimated and put some on a paper towel. Have you had these?? They are 0 sugar and makes a great snack. I passed them out last halloween and the kids absolutely LOVED them and they were all gone.

It was so hot so I waited until after 6pm to go for our walk and only did 1.3 miles.

Came back and ate some broccoli and 4 brussel sprouts and some buffallo wings for dinner.

Desert was a brownie muffin and the tiny almond bite that was left.

I feel like I ate a ton yesterday, probably because I was alone and in the house all day. Today will be a repeat of the same, being HOT and staying inside.

I really hope you all have a good day with family or something. Stay Cool!!

This is PurpleRosy signing off...

My thought for the day:

Call Your Troubles Experiences

Trouble Positive QuoteIf you will call your troubles experiences, and remember that every experience develops some latent force within you, you will grow vigorous and happy, however adverse your circumstances may seem to be.

Keep on BFC ' n  :-)

  1. It finally cooled off her...if you call 88 cool! but it feels that way after the heatwave. It's so draining and you don't really want to be outside at all. I'm sorry you are alone this weekend. It's funny that we always want what we don't have. I would love to have a quiet weekend all by myself. Soon you will be busy with that new place and you can paint your nails a happy color! Sending hugs and love! XO

  2. LOL Pattie, I was just thinking how nice September will be when my house is perfectly quiet :) My kids like Pirates Booty - I avoid it (like popcorn not sure I could control my portions).

  3. Our temperatures are finally starting to drop some - for now. Pirates Booty is good stuff. We buy it every now and then for a treat. My kids would have loved it if they got Pirates Booty for Halloween. That's a good idea for this year.

  4. I love pirate booty, I don't buy it too often because it's too easy to eat the whole bag in one sitting :)

  5. Your nails and toes look great! You have interesting combinations of food:) That's probably why you can stay with it so well.

  6. It's weird that you mentioned Pirate's Booty, because I've just started having some of it this summer. I used it at the beach for a snack and a couple times at home when everyone else was having some potato chips. It looks like popcorn but really has a different taste. I get the white cheddar kind, and it's not too hard to just have a little.

Some tips if you are having trouble

  • First make sure that you are staying under the 15/6. 15 sugars and 6 servings of carbs for the whole day. Thats no more than 5 sugars and 2 servings of carbs per meal.
  • Track all of your sugar/carbs. Add everything from your meal together and count them that way.
  • Try to stop eating whole grain carbs after 3pm.
  • Make sure you drink lots of water.
  • Count everything that you put into your mouth. Even sauces - everything , check labels.
  • Make sure that you don't eat any artificial sugars. Check labels, if it says sugar free - look in the ingredients, look for....sucralose, aspartame, saccharine in the ingredients. Those are BAD!
  • Going #2 is a big problem when a lot of people start the BFC. I have solved that problem with Clear Benefiber in my morning coffee and a scoop of Super Seed w/water in the afternoon. (you can buy the super seed on Amazon.com it is the cheapest).
  • Choose your carbs wisely. Try to pick the carbs that will give you the lowest count of carbs, sugar and calories and the most fiber.

I hope this helps.
