At This Age...

Good Morning Friends,

I am so glad you liked my last post. I was going through Facebook and for days everyone was commenting and waiting for that Magic to help them and I just got a little frustrated for all of YOU!!

My hubby never reads this and if he does its just through someone else at his work that does maybe. So yesterday I was reading it to him and telling him of all the nice comments I was getting - and he said that I should not say:

At MY age - in my posts. That it shouldn't matter.

I told him;
That I have to say that once in a while - because it IS a BIG deal at my age!!
I just KNEW that at my age I would never be able to lose any weight, EVER!!
I had accepted the fact that I would be that size FOREVER!!
There was nothing that would EVER change that because I don't work out!!
I loved to eat and there was nothing and no one that could EVER change that!!


DO YOU SEE THIS PERSON??   Take a GOOD LOOK!!

No matter what age or what diets you HAVE tried before - I am here to tell you that

I WAS WRONG!!

You need to dig down really deep inside of yourself and realize that no matter what you are going through, no matter what age you are - 

Don't listen to the Food Bullies.

You are Responsible for YOU.

No one is making you eat that right now - only YOU are.

Make that change you need to (and stick with it) to be the YOU we all want to be.

  2. Every time I question if what I'm doing is working (like this week where I stayed true to my eating plan and barely lost a thing), I think of you. I also think of several health benefits besides weight I've discovered and I keep on going. You really are inspiring!

  4. It is "harder" at our tender age, well I am older, but doable. Many, many reports that even starting to exercise at 80 provides great health benefits. We are never to old!

  5. The fact that you can do it in your 50's has inspired me in my 40's. We hear so often how much our metabolism slows down as we age, about the "middle age spread", about how much harder it gets to lose as we get older - so you really have been instrumental at showing us that the BFC works regardless of age! :) Have a great day Rosalie.

  6. I totally agree with you about food choices and we choose what we eat and how much of it. I'm so happy that my initial journey on BFC led to the Primal/Paleo path which has resulted in weight loss and a less inflammation/bloating in my gut. I am very pleased with where I am today and kudos to you!

Some tips if you are having trouble

  • First make sure that you are staying under the 15/6. 15 sugars and 6 servings of carbs for the whole day. Thats no more than 5 sugars and 2 servings of carbs per meal.
  • Track all of your sugar/carbs. Add everything from your meal together and count them that way.
  • Try to stop eating whole grain carbs after 3pm.
  • Make sure you drink lots of water.
  • Count everything that you put into your mouth. Even sauces - everything , check labels.
  • Make sure that you don't eat any artificial sugars. Check labels, if it says sugar free - look in the ingredients, look for....sucralose, aspartame, saccharine in the ingredients. Those are BAD!
  • Going #2 is a big problem when a lot of people start the BFC. I have solved that problem with Clear Benefiber in my morning coffee and a scoop of Super Seed w/water in the afternoon. (you can buy the super seed on Amazon.com it is the cheapest).
  • Choose your carbs wisely. Try to pick the carbs that will give you the lowest count of carbs, sugar and calories and the most fiber.
