Overwhelming...

Hello Everyone,

Wow I have to say all your comments on my last post were overwhelming to say the very least. I am glad that this blog helps you. I really do love doing it and sharing my journey with you.

Jorge has had many books come out since I started doing this. I really do feel and have always felt that the original Belly Fat Cure is the best. I personally don't feel it is necessary to go without wheat or gluten free unless that stuff bothers you physically. You know like if you have Celiac disease or it makes you sick.

Many of us that have lost a lot of weight on the Belly Fat Cure, did so the Original way. I do love all the recipes I have found along the way, and when I find something I think is good I usually take a picture and post it on the recipe page. Feel free to share.

I have a list of Blogs below and I would love for you to go join their blogs and give them some much needed support too. That is how you get new tips and ideas by sharing.

This was my lunch yesterday, a wheat tortilla (on Products page) w/avocado, baby spinach, cheese, chicken, and some Sprouts spicy Chipotle salad dressing. Folded in half and ate it like a fool - cause it was GOOD!

Then we went to the movies in the afternoon to try to let off a bit of stress and saw that movie - Think like a man. It was so funny. I ate popcorn no butter and 2 squares of dark chocolate. On the way home we stopped at Sams Club and Sprouts and got home by 8pm to see the Voice.

Hubby made some juice in the juicer and I drank like 1/2 cup. I usually don't ever drink it cause it has way too much sugar, but the only thing w/sugar in it was 1 apple and a cucumber. He makes a pitcher full - oh yeah - and it comes out Green.  It tasted way better then it smelled. LOL

No dinner for me I felt like I had too much popcorn earlier.
These are 2 peanut butters that have only 1 gram of sugar per 2 tbs.
Fifty50  I get at Sprouts and Adams I get at WalMart.
My breakfast this morning, my favorite some Oasis toast w/butter and peanut butter, avocado, eggs w/onion, mushrooms, some left over chicken cut up, spinach and cheese.
My lunch the last of cauliflower I had in the fridge made into a pizza.
I took the girls to the groomer this morning and Peaches and Mandy got a haircut and they all 3 got a bath. See the cute bandannas? So what is wrong with this picture? Ha-ha

OK well I'm going for a long walk with the girls. I really feel like I need it today. I hope you all had a good day. Please let me know if there is any help you need or any questions and we will all pitch in and do our best to help.

Thanks for listening and lots of love to you all.

This is PurpleRosy signing off...

My thought for the day:

Experience

Experience is not what happens to you; it’s what you do with what happens to you.

Keep on BFC ' n  :-)

  4. Rosalie - do you recall the price of the Adams pb? I priced the Fifty/50 tonight at Cub Foods (affiliated with County Market) and it was over $6 a jar (darn)!

  8. Hi everyone, I found this information today while reading Dr. Rosedale's website (he specializes in insulin/leptin and its affects on weight/diabetes). Same information about what to avoid - close to Jorge's Fast Track advice. Anyway, read this on peanut butter and thought I'd pass it on. I recently bought raw almond butter and will be using it instead.

"I know on paper that peanuts and peanut butter look like a perfectly acceptable food but looks are deceiving. First off, peanuts aren't even nuts. They're classified as legumes which are, oddly enough, in the fruit family. True, they don't contain fructose or much sugar, and look like they fit right in with our allowed foods, however they typically contain an element called 'aflatoxin', which is a potentially deadly carcinogen. (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Aflatoxin, for more info) While eating normal amounts peanut butter won't kill you outright, it isn't particularly healthy either. You can easily substitute it for much healthier (and, in my opinion, tastier) almond or even cashew butter."

Some tips if you are having trouble

  • First make sure that you are staying under the 15/6. 15 sugars and 6 servings of carbs for the whole day. Thats no more than 5 sugars and 2 servings of carbs per meal.
  • Track all of your sugar/carbs. Add everything from your meal together and count them that way.
  • Try to stop eating whole grain carbs after 3pm.
  • Make sure you drink lots of water.
  • Count everything that you put into your mouth. Even sauces - everything , check labels.
  • Make sure that you don't eat any artificial sugars. Check labels, if it says sugar free - look in the ingredients, look for....sucralose, aspartame, saccharine in the ingredients. Those are BAD!
  • Going #2 is a big problem when a lot of people start the BFC. I have solved that problem with Clear Benefiber in my morning coffee and a scoop of Super Seed w/water in the afternoon. (you can buy the super seed on Amazon.com it is the cheapest).
  • Choose your carbs wisely. Try to pick the carbs that will give you the lowest count of carbs, sugar and calories and the most fiber.

I hope this helps.
