Well this morning I had a dentist appointment at 10am. I scheduled it at that time so I could eat breakfast before I went. It turned out that it was a very good idea.
I had a wheat carb chopper tortilla w/1/2 avocado and cheese inside, and 2 eggs and some berries.
Do you ever have one of those days where you just feel like; I must have done something real bad in my past life for my life to be like this all the time?? Sometimes I feel like I am being punished for what ever I did before. So this is my life and I am trying to make due with what I got. I know some of you out there can relate and just maybe feel the same way.
So I went to the dentist just for a cleaning / checkup. It turned out that 3 of my fillings had to be refilled and 1 tooth that had a silver filling in about 3/4 of the tooth from about maybe 30 years ago finally took a crap. After the x-rays the girl says it is cracking and needs a crown. I knew it would happen sooner or later - so I just old them to do everything all at once right then. I have a temporary crown in my mouth right now. So after over 4 hours I was finally on my way out of there with a sore numb mouth.
Here's the best part - I have not been there for about 2 years. The last time I went to another dentist which I will not do again. The girl at the counter tells me to fill out some paperwork again cause I haven't been there for a while and when I gave it back she said: You've lost weight?
I said you remember me? She said yes and of course I told them about the BFC and the 90lbs that I have lost - so HI Girls if you are reading today.
When I got home I couldn't eat yet so I had a protein shake made just with MRM protein powder (on fav products page) w/unsweetened vanilla almond milk and hubby gave me 1 cup of his juice he made w/the juicer.
I went for a walk with the doggies.
Then around 5pm I ate some shirataki noodles w/meatballs, zucchini, and mushrooms, and some of that sauce I found at Sprouts (on fav products page).
I will be having a chocolate coconut muffin w/RediWhip in a bit with some tea for desert.
Welcome all the new people and just let us know what we can do to help you succeed in your weight loss goals.
I hope you all have a nice evening and big hugs to you.
This is PurpleRosy signing off...
My thought for the day:
Step Out Into The Light
Let us move on, and step out boldly, though it, be into the night, and we can scarcely see the way.
You CAN do it!!
Keep on BFC ' n :-)

Ouchy Ouchy Ouchy!!! That's alot to have done in one day! Guess it's better to get it over and done with though!
ReplyDeleteYay for weight loss recognition! Feels great doesn't it. I saw someone last week that hadn't seen me since I lost weight and his eyes nearly popped out of his head. lol, it was a funny moment, and made me feel better that even though I have gained a little back I still am not going back to what I was.
Your dinner with Shiritaki noodles looks great! Are they a tofu variety? What are the carbs? In NZ you can only get a gelly type - they are OK but don't look near as good as yours.
xx
The ones I ate are tofu Fettuccine shirataki noodles. They are fatter and taste better only 6 carbs 0 sugar and 40 calories for the whole pkg.
DeleteHi Rosy, I am a newbie. I've beem BFCing for 6 weeks and have lost 20 lbs so far. I want to lose 60 more so I've got a ways to go, but I will get there! How many grams of carbs do you think is best for weightless. I've been tracking them on myfitnesspal and just wonder how big of a difference 50 grams vs 80 grams a day makes. I know we can have 6 servings but that cam range from 30 grams min.up to 120
ReplyDeleteHI, you certainly don't have to eat all 6 servings of carbs a day. I didn't. 1 serving is up to 20 grams.
DeleteJust make sure you are eating the right kind of carbs - something that has fiber nutrition in it.
Ha, funny. I was thinking all day about karma, and what it is in this life I'm trying to make up for!!
ReplyDeleteI enjoyed our talk last night-thanks!
Hope you're doing well!
Nicole
Well I guess now we know. LOL
DeleteI'm gonna call you tomorrow :-)
:). Ok, im always here!
DeleteIt must be the impending moon this weekend but I was also thinking about karma. I've really been on the hell wheel as far as jobs for the last 3 or so years. I have recently started working for a new agency (very, very part time unfortunately which equals stress about bills/finances) that actually respects me and is very accommodating and will PAY for work that I find myself wondering if it is all real! My point being, that eventually, we get the good after the bad. I wish you a speedy recovery :)
ReplyDeleteWOW! My story is almost identical to yours. I have put off getting my teeth taken care of because of buying our house and I knew I would need at least one crown. Anyhow, our dental insurance is changing so I will have to change dentists. I LOVE my dentist and told him I wanted him to be the one to do as much of the work on my teeth as possible before having to switch dentists this month. I drive an hour one way to go to him; he is that good.
ReplyDeleteI was in his chair for 3.5 hrs. having a crown done, a filling that need to be refilled because it was old and had decay starting to develop underneath the filling, and one of my filling had actually popped out and need to be replaced. I hate when we are forced to change our dentist/doctor because of insurance changes. Hopefully we love our new dentist as much as him.
Dental care is such an investment...better than the old days (real old days) when your teeth were just pulled!
ReplyDelete...and hope you'll have a good day. You may be a little tender.
ReplyDeleteTake care
After all of that dental work, I sure hope you have good insurance! We don't have Dental Insurance and my little guy hit and chipped his front tooth 2 yrs ago. Not only did it break his tooth, but it killed the still forming root. Let's just say, we've been dealing with it for 2 yrs and he had to have a root canal and the tooth will only last until he's around 18.....Booooo! Karma must be the word of the week because I was thinking about it last week. BTW, wanted to mention that I bought Maria's book (from your blog list) and I love it!!! She talks about mood, sleep and natural supplements. Been taking 5-htp at bedtime and some Gaba too and I'm feeling pretty good about my sleep (I also bought the magnesium glyciante that she recommends but since I'm on antibiotics, I was going to wait to take that :)
ReplyDeleteCarey
Well we should just start a Ladies in a Funk club! Have you tried the zucchini noodles? I won't eat the shirataki nnodles anymore after having the zucchini ones. Hope the tooth stuff gets all worked out - ugh Dentist!
ReplyDeleteCarey, I started taking magnesium citrate (3x150mg) 2 hours before bed. It has made a HUGE improvement in my sleep and other things. I sleep very soundly now - whereas before I was waking up several times a night. If you Google Dr. Hyman/magnesium he has some great information too. I also read Dr. Kruse’s information and he says magnesium is a key supplement as well. Amber, I haven't tried the zucchini noodles yet but now you have me intrigued. I have done the shirataki ones with some Asian recipes - they were pretty good.
ReplyDeleteHi Rosy! I always love reading your blog-- it's so motivating! Just wanted to drop by and let you know! :)
