Tired today...

Hello Everybody,

Wow am I tired today. I think I slept 1 night since that little rat-shit came to stay with us. Do you like that knick-name? That is what I refer to her to my Hubby. I can't sleep cause she won't stay in her bed and I am always awake making sure she doesn't do anything wrong.

I have to put boxes on  the stairs to block them so she won't go up and down all the time when Hubby is trying to sleep after working nights. She acts like she drinks Caffeine all the time, running back and forth and never stops. Its like having a 2 year old toddler in the house that never takes a nap.

And to top it off - I NOW officially look like the CRAZY DOG LADY walking every day with 3 dogs at the same time. Yish! OK enough about that - I feel like my patience are all gone today cause I am so tired.

I forgot to tell you that I made my own coconut oil or butter or what ever you call it. I put a package of un-sweetened coconut flakes in the food processor and just let it go for a while - stirred down the sides and just kept doing that until it liquefied. Then I poured it into the empty jar from the last time I bought some. It hardened up just like the store kind.

It is much cheaper this way, only like $3.50 for the bag - so I will let you know how I like it.
Yesterday morning I let all 3 of them jump on the bed w/Hubby for a few minutes while he was getting ready to go to sleep after working all night.

I sold the 3 pc mico-fiber sectional that was up in the loft so I went up there yesterday morning and removed all the curtains and rods from all the upstairs - washed them and put them away - took down all the pictures from the walls - and patched up all the holes. I figured if I do stuff a little at a time, it will be much easier to move at the end of May.
My breakfast yesterday, 2 Oasis toast w/ 1 gm of sugar peanut butter, 1/4 avocado, turkey bacon, eggs and a few berries.
My lunch, a almond crust pizza and grape Zevia.

We went for a 2.7 mile walk and it was such a beautiful weather day.

dinner; was some broccoli and 6 wings, and 2 squares of 86% dark chocolate and rediwhip.

Is it just me?? Or did I eat a lot yesterday?? I feel like I did for some reason.

Well thanks for listening and big hugs from me to you.

Congrats to all you losers and keep up the great work.

  2. Hi- I need to know how many grams of carbs equals 1 carb on the BFC? I haven't received my books yet, but I have been watching the youtube videos and listening to Jorge speak. It's not very clear. Thank you for your time.

    1. 1 serving of carbs is from 5-20 grams
2 servings is from 21-40 grams
Always stay within 5 sugars and 2 servings of carbs per meal.
We count the s/c count in everything that you put in your mouth. Look at all the labels of everything.
      Hope that helps :-)

  3. Hi Rosalie,

Sorry you're tired from that little 'rat-shit' - we have a smallish dog and the energy she has drives us insane sometimes. Can't imagine taking on someone else's dog that's like that! 'hugs'

Great idea for the coconut oil! I am going to try that asap. It's super expensive over here and I have never bought it because of that. Never would have thought to put coconut flakes in the food processor.

Hope you have a good day and get some rest!
    xx

  4. I'm very curious to hear how that coconut oil works for you. I couldn't believe how much it costs to buy at the store. I would love to be able to make my own for cheaper.

  5. Hello my dear friend. Sorry I have been absent for awhile. Even now my to do list is so long, but I need a few moments to catch up with my girls! I walk three dogs everyday too. I think people think I am a dog walker. But they are all mine. Great idea about the coconut oil. Let us know how it works out. Sending love and hugs. Thanks for always being there...even when we're not!

  6. I think the name for your new pup is funny:) You are looking for the humor in a not so good situation.
I bought the coconut oil from the Traditions place and haven't even cracked it open yet. I don't know why? Lazy? I am loving my food processor and that will be another thing to do with it. I remember Minichick using her coffee grinder to make almond flour.
    Have a great day:)

  7. Dana Carpenter had just posted about the coconut butter recipe (that is what you made, not oil - it has the oil and meat in it)! She has a great low carb blog, if you arent already following it. I thought about making it, but I dont think it has all the good stuff that my purchased coconut butter has. I buy unrefined/raw organic coconut butter and oil, and Im pretty sure the flakes are differently prepared.

What are you using the coconut butter for, or do you just use it in your coffee? I love to make the blueberry bark with it, that is my favorite!

Some tips if you are having trouble

  • First make sure that you are staying under the 15/6. 15 sugars and 6 servings of carbs for the whole day. Thats no more than 5 sugars and 2 servings of carbs per meal.
  • Track all of your sugar/carbs. Add everything from your meal together and count them that way.
  • Try to stop eating whole grain carbs after 3pm.
  • Make sure you drink lots of water.
  • Count everything that you put into your mouth. Even sauces - everything , check labels.
  • Make sure that you don't eat any artificial sugars. Check labels, if it says sugar free - look in the ingredients, look for....sucralose, aspartame, saccharine in the ingredients. Those are BAD!
  • Going #2 is a big problem when a lot of people start the BFC. I have solved that problem with Clear Benefiber in my morning coffee and a scoop of Super Seed w/water in the afternoon. (you can buy the super seed on Amazon.com it is the cheapest).
  • Choose your carbs wisely. Try to pick the carbs that will give you the lowest count of carbs, sugar and calories and the most fiber.

I hope this helps.
