The past 2 days...

Hello Everyone,

How is everyone doing on the BFC or whatever plan you are following?? I am up a few lbs today but you know me - that doesn't bother me at all. I know as a women that will happen from time-to-time. Its when you get up 5lbs that it might be time to worry or to change something to get that back off.

I was supposed to start my mnthly over a week ago and yesterday I started very light and I know that is the reason for the weight up - so who knows maybe sometime soon it will stop for good. Gezee 53 and still going strong. URGH

Sunday Hubby got called into work for OT so I started out w/breakfast of course
Then I balanced the checkbook and paid bills.
Went outside and mowed and weed-eated the front and back yard.
lunch;
this was quinoa, 1/2 zucchini cut up, a little onion cut up, chicken bullion and cumin for flavor, a can of chicken and some baby spinach wilted in.
Then I tried to pack some books into boxes. - Can't remember what I ate for dinner - Duh that was 2 days ago. LOL - my middle-heimers.

Yesterday (Monday) breakfast;
A flaxseed muffin and turkey bacon.
Hubby and I went out running around and looking at stuff in stores- got nothing.
We went to In-N-Out for lunch and I had a double-double wrapped in lettuce w/cheese, grilled onions and pickles and tomatoes. I had a few of Hubby's fries and as you can see he had one wrapped in lettuce too. Good Boy.

When we got home we still did not go grocery shopping and I am running out of food ideas, so we both had this:
meatballs, broccoli, some seeds of change pasta sauce and HOT sauce of course, and there was only 1 pk of shirataki noodles left so I split it in half with him.
Then I made us both a chocolate-coconut-muffin. And no RediWhip GRRR I ran out. Got to go shopping today for sure.
My breakfast this morning; was the last tortilla w/cheese, 2 turkey bacon, scrambled eggs w/sauted onion and goat cheese on top.

I am doing good so far selling stuff. Got rid of the reclining chair, TV, Table and chairs, statues, and maybe one of the sofas today - fingers crossed.

I hope you all have a great day and remember to eat well, and 3 meals a day. No skipping! that will make you too hungry and you will eat bad.

This is PurpleRosy signing off...

My thought for the day:

Never Too Late

It is never too late to be what you might have been.

Keep on BFC ' n  :-)

  2. My hysterectomy was a blessing in many ways:)I did keep my ovaries, so I still have some issues with mood swings and weight gain....or that's my excuse and I am keeping it.
I'm glad you are getting rid of your extra stuff. That makes it more fun to get new things:)

  3. Well, after my sugar binge, I weighed in at 141 lbs. this morning. I hope hope hope that after the sugar is out of my system in couple of days I will still see a loss this weekend. If not, oh well, I refuse to dwell on a number and have it dictate my mood for the day/days!

  6. Hey Rosalie...can you change my weight to 231 Yeah! I have also gotten smaller all over by 17 inches too!! WOOT! woot! Thanks for the suggestions on my foods. It's helping to put my food intake on the blog. I haven't been able to stop carbs by 3pm but I have been successful in stopping eating by 7pm which seems to be helping.

  7. Hey,
Our bodies love to play tricks on us, I'm 55 and about a year I started to skip my period for a few months. I was so happy and then they started again, and then stopped again...Oh so fun! The goal is to stop for one whole entire year and then we are safe!

  8. Hello Sistahfriends...I had a total hysto almost 8 years ago. I discovered about 3 years ago that I had to give up soy all together. Soy gives me serious hotflashes and keeps me up at night. Once I gave it up..buddha belly hit. Sigh. On a good note, hubby and I are on Day 71 of the BFC. I an down 18#s. Thx Rosalie for your support! ~ melody in oregon ~

Some tips if you are having trouble

  • First make sure that you are staying under the 15/6. 15 sugars and 6 servings of carbs for the whole day. Thats no more than 5 sugars and 2 servings of carbs per meal.
  • Track all of your sugar/carbs. Add everything from your meal together and count them that way.
  • Try to stop eating whole grain carbs after 3pm.
  • Make sure you drink lots of water.
  • Count everything that you put into your mouth. Even sauces - everything , check labels.
  • Make sure that you don't eat any artificial sugars. Check labels, if it says sugar free - look in the ingredients, look for....sucralose, aspartame, saccharine in the ingredients. Those are BAD!
  • Going #2 is a big problem when a lot of people start the BFC. I have solved that problem with Clear Benefiber in my morning coffee and a scoop of Super Seed w/water in the afternoon. (you can buy the super seed on Amazon.com it is the cheapest).
  • Choose your carbs wisely. Try to pick the carbs that will give you the lowest count of carbs, sugar and calories and the most fiber.

I hope this helps.
