I Love the Weather Here...

Hello My Friends,

Well all I can say is that I love to live in Southern California. The weather is great!! Did I tell you that I grew up in Michigan?? In the suburbs around Detroit. Some of you knew that already. My 2 brothers, nieces and nephews, My beautiful Daughter and grandson all live there.

I moved out here over 30 years ago. Wow I can't believe it has been that long. Well anyway - that's why I love this area. Palm trees and sunshine most of the time.

Yesterday was a little warm and when the girls and I were going for our walk, I tried to get them to drink water first. Peaches did but Mandy wouldn't. So after 1.25 miles I came home and they still wouldn't so I left them there and walked by myself some more and walked over 3 miles altogether.

On the menu today:
breakfast; flaxseed muffin, turkey bacon, and berries
lunch; I made some zucchini pizza w/pesto sauce, different cheeses and sausage crumbles and some Kimchee. I also had 1 Sinful Cinnamon Cake.

After lunch I went outside and mowed and weedeated the whole front and back yard. I now realize why my arms are looking a little bit muscley. That was at least 1.5 hours in perfect 74 degree weather.

snack; a think thin bite while on my walk today.
This is what I get to see when I walk around here in Chino Hills. Mountain views w/snow on the tops. I took this on our 2.5 mile walk today This is a Empty lot we walk thru and it has lots of bushes and critters for the dogs to look at.
So after all that I was T-I-R-E-D!!

dinner; we went to the Hometown Buffet. I had a pc of chicken and took off the breading, a few bites ea. of green beans and cabbage and fish, and a small spinach salad.

came home and made a chocolate-coconut 2 min muffin.

Here's a little TMI - so after the time change I have been having a bit of a problem staying regular. I used to wake up and go #2 every morning. Then we lost an hour and now my body is confused. Not sure why? So this whole past week my weight has been up 3lbs at 151. Oh well I am working on it.

Is anyone else having any problems after the time change?? Share.

Is there anything is particular that you Newbies would like me to talk about?? Let me know?

Thanks for listening to me today. Lots of LOVE to ya.

This is PurpleRosy signing off...

My thought for the day:

Inner Calm

Peace a state of inner calm. An inner calm so complete that nothing can disturb it.
I hope that every person may find their inner calm, their inner peace and connect with that place in them, even if it’s just for a brief moment in time.

Keep on BFC ' n  :-)

  1. Hmmm, I haven't been regular since the time change, either. I didn't even think to consider it being connected to the time change. Hopefully, in a week or two we'll be back to normal.

  4. Isn't the world better when the weather is great? Makes everything seem better. Thinking of you and sending hugs and love.

  6. Hi, I'm from Puerto Rico, if you come here you will love it,because we have warm weather all year round. This is a tropical island. I loved the zucchini pizza, never would have thought about that one, I'm going to try it ASAP. I'm gluten intolerant, so I have to have a very strict diet. This pizza will go perfectly with my diet. Thanks!

Some tips if you are having trouble

  • First make sure that you are staying under the 15/6. 15 sugars and 6 servings of carbs for the whole day. Thats no more than 5 sugars and 2 servings of carbs per meal.
  • Track all of your sugar/carbs. Add everything from your meal together and count them that way.
  • Try to stop eating whole grain carbs after 3pm.
  • Make sure you drink lots of water.
  • Count everything that you put into your mouth. Even sauces - everything , check labels.
  • Make sure that you don't eat any artificial sugars. Check labels, if it says sugar free - look in the ingredients, look for....sucralose, aspartame, saccharine in the ingredients. Those are BAD!
  • Going #2 is a big problem when a lot of people start the BFC. I have solved that problem with Clear Benefiber in my morning coffee and a scoop of Super Seed w/water in the afternoon. (you can buy the super seed on Amazon.com it is the cheapest).
  • Choose your carbs wisely. Try to pick the carbs that will give you the lowest count of carbs, sugar and calories and the most fiber.

I hope this helps.
