The Girls are Happy today...

Good Monday Morning to ya,

On the weather front: It rained most of the day yesterday so I had a break from all the walking I do. But I have been doing those exercises I posted yesterday the past 3 days in a row. So I am really hoping it will help with the lose skin around my hips and thighs.

That is 1 problem I have now since I lost 90lbs. In some areas it kind of feels like a balloon that was blown up real big and then let all the air out. My boobs, lower part of my stomach, and my butt and upper thighs. Those areas seem to feel a bit soft.

Don't get me wrong - It's probably not as bad as I am describing, but when the clothes come off - you notice. I am not perfect and will never be. And that is OK.

I think because of my size before, no matter what kind of exercises I do that will stay that way. That is my punishment - I guess for letting myself get so big before. I don't mind that much cause I can cover it with my clothes.

I realize this is where - if you don't watch it - you can become one of those people who no matter what they do they always see themselves as FAT!!  WOW - am I like that?  Always finding faults in myself no mater what I do?? Are you like that ??

So yesterday before hubby went to work the night shift, he wanted to go to the Ontario Mills Mall. Its a big outlet mall. He wanted to find a certain kind of case for his Ipad. Didn't have any luck, but said I should buy some new jeans cause I am always wearing my size 10's and they are saggy butt kinds.

I tell him I don't care I am tired of spending so much money on clothes since I started the BFC. I have had to replace EVERYTHING in my wardrobe at least once or twice. That''s a ton of money!

But the Bra thing - remember?? So we found out where in the mall the Victoria Secret store was I went and he waited in the hall.

So I told the girl my problem. I started at a 40DD before BFC, then bought new ones at 38DD, then the last time I went into VS they said I was a 36D and bought new ones, Now they are too big in the cup.

Do you have any idea how much wasted money that adds up to so far??

So she measures me and tells me I am a 34DD.  What?? She said I actually measured 33 and that I was so tiny. ME? I said I thought I was a 36C?? So why only a couple months ago did they tell me I was a 36D?? Well anyways I bought 4 new different styles of bras in 34DD and they fit great. $186 later. I told hubby do you want to know how much that was?? You said go ahead!! He said no - I don't care - you need them any way. Yeesh!!

For breakfast I made some coconut flour pancakes.
When we got out of the mall it was 2 and I felt like I was starving. I don't like being hungry. On the way home we stopped at Carls Jr and got 2 of those Southwest burgers wrapped in lettuce and ate them at home. I also had some veggie straws.

Then I made some Zucchini-Cheese-coconut flour bread made into muffins (on recipe page).

For dinner I ate a spinach salad and some broccoli and turkey medallions.
For desert I made a chocolate coconut 2 min muffin.

Well thanks for listening. Lots of Love to you all.

This is PurpleRosy signing off...

My thought for the day:

Purest Love

Friendship is the purest love. It is the highest form of love where nothing is asked for, no condition, where one simple enjoys giving.

Keep On BFC ' n  :-)

  1. Doesn't it feel good to have bra's that fit? Now you can keep these for a while and not have to buy again. Comfort is worth the money. Gotta run and get groceries so enjoy walking with the poopies today. I already went for my walk, even though there was a fine mist of sprinkles ;)

  2. hurray for new bras..

don't think of yourself as being punished for being large. you just weren't ready to make a change yet. you're so worthy of the $186 for new bras...never forget that, ur worthy!

  3. Bras are SO tricky. If you are 36C, that could easily be a 34D in another brand. I cannot stand VS bras though! Last time I went there I felt like they were to be seen in, not worn. You know what I mean? I spent tons o' money on a new wardrobe too, but it was worth it :)

  4. I went to VS the other day as well to see if there was anything I would like to buy one I get closer to my body fat % goal. It was quite an experience. The men that were coerced into the store by their wives/girlfriends looked extremely uncomfortable, and there was a couple of older ladies laughing and making jokes about all of the thongs. The whole experience was sooo funny!

  5. Hi Rosie
I wear VS bras and I am a perfect B cup and I wear a D in their size so go figure? Everything @ VS runs small....look at their models. My hubby gives me free reign @ VS & never yips if I spend too much. I think he wants me to bring home more lingerie & all I bring home is bras. Hahaha! Oh well, he can keep on dreaming!
Good for you for dropping all those sizes! You deserve to look and feel great in your clothes. You have worked hard to get where you are so just give the hubs a little kiss and say thank you. Just sayin.
    Love

  7. I'm excited for you to have new holders for the girls. I assume that they are pretty? My husband wants me to get bra's there too, but I hesitate to have a teenager fit me. It's like rolling them up to fit in the cup! I am a 34DD too. Rachel Ray just had a really good Bra fitting episode on, very informative on what to wear.
The good news is that you have lost a ton of weight and look great. The bad news is that skin does not firm, only what is underneath. Embrace your beautiful self! If I could lift the skin up on my legs I wouldn't have cellulite, then I drop the skin and there it is again. I wonder if duct tape would hold it up:)

  8. I never go to VS to expensive but if you can have them tell you what size you need then maybe you can find something a little less expensive else where...but that is me looking for a good deal. To be honest I cant wait to go spend some money on some new smaller clothes that is exciting.

  9. Brand newbie here . . . uh-hem, so glad to hear the girls are well clothed. :)

I've been on Atkins for the past month and lost 10 lbs. I think I'm ready to add in a few more carbs and something or other I was reading brought me to Jorje and then to you!

I don't have the book yet, just looking for advice and wisdom.

    Current weight 206, goal weight 160 (5'9").

    Thanks,

Some tips if you are having trouble

  • First make sure that you are staying under the 15/6. 15 sugars and 6 servings of carbs for the whole day. Thats no more than 5 sugars and 2 servings of carbs per meal.
  • Track all of your sugar/carbs. Add everything from your meal together and count them that way.
  • Try to stop eating whole grain carbs after 3pm.
  • Make sure you drink lots of water.
  • Count everything that you put into your mouth. Even sauces - everything , check labels.
  • Make sure that you don't eat any artificial sugars. Check labels, if it says sugar free - look in the ingredients, look for....sucralose, aspartame, saccharine in the ingredients. Those are BAD!
  • Going #2 is a big problem when a lot of people start the BFC. I have solved that problem with Clear Benefiber in my morning coffee and a scoop of Super Seed w/water in the afternoon. (you can buy the super seed on Amazon.com it is the cheapest).
  • Choose your carbs wisely. Try to pick the carbs that will give you the lowest count of carbs, sugar and calories and the most fiber.

I hope this helps.
