Doing This Forever??

Good Morning Folks,

I thought the rain was over it stopped yesterday but it looks like its gonna start up again today. I do hope I get to go for our walk today. Yesterday the dogs and I went in the morning around 11am and we went a different way and had a GREAT walk, around 2.7 miles.
Just in case you didn't see the picture I put on FaceBook - I finished the purple scarf I was making.

Congrats and great job to all of you losers this past week.

My last post got several comments. I think that no matter what you are doing to lose weight - just make sure that your whole heart and head are in the game. For me its the Belly Fat Cure all the way.

What ever plan you chose to do - know that we will all support you in your journey to lose weight. Make sure that what plan you are doing that it is something you can see yourself doing forever!!!

Can you go without eating meat or wheat or breakfast forever??

Yeah I said FOREVER! If it is something that is working, ask yourself this;

Can I eat this way for the rest of my life?
Is it healthy to eat this way for the rest of my life?
Am I gonna be satisfied eating this way the rest of my life?

For me its, YES, YES and YES.

I have found many different recipes and things along my journey to satisfy my Big Ass Sweet tooth and have shared them with all of you.

OK - here's what I ate yesterday;
breakfast;
A lemon flaxseed muffin, turkey bacon, berries.

lunch; we decided to go to the movies around 1pm and stopped at Wendy's on the way and I actually got some spicy chicken nuggets and ate them at the movies with some popcorn. We saw 21 Jump Street and I have to say it was funny as you know what.

dinner was 1 turkey patty and some broccoli and a spinach salad w/bacon bits, goat cheese and my new favorite dressing: the Sprouts brand of chipotle Ranch.

desert;
A coconut 2 min muffin. I made it w/vanilla, cinnamon, and a handful of S/F chocolate chips and the rest of the regular ingredients I put on the recipe page on pancakes and muffins page. I turned it upside down on the plate cause all the chips sink when you cook it and it looks way better this way don't you agree?

Well have a great day everyone. Thanks for listening and lots of love to you all.

This is PurpleRosy signing off...

My thought for the day:

Key To Success

Success is not the key to happiness. Happiness is the key to success. If you love what you are doing, you will be successful.  Buddha
Keep on BFC ' n  :-)

  2. I agree that quick fixes don't work. You do need something you can stick to for the long haul. Although I lose slowly, I AM losing and I am enjoying what I eat. I love the BFC too!

  3. Yes, Yes, and Yes for me to! :) You're right on, how we eat needs to be something we can do for LIFE. Anything else will only work temporarily.

  6. Yes, I think I can live this way. Even when I give myself the okay to cheat, I don't much. I may have a few more carbs, but as for the sugar, it just hurts my stomach now. I know I can't do the no wheat thing forever. I was craving a bagel in the worst way so had an everything bagel thin with cream cheese and smoked salmon.....soooooo good and still BFC friendly :)

  7. Good post. I know I can't give up wheat, but I can limit it. I know that I can't give up breakfast, but I can keep it BFC very easily. I know I can't give up my wine...so there is my dilemma. I have to make it fit, or give up something else....and so it goes!!! Sending love and hugs!!

Some tips if you are having trouble

  • First make sure that you are staying under the 15/6. 15 sugars and 6 servings of carbs for the whole day. Thats no more than 5 sugars and 2 servings of carbs per meal.
  • Track all of your sugar/carbs. Add everything from your meal together and count them that way.
  • Try to stop eating whole grain carbs after 3pm.
  • Make sure you drink lots of water.
  • Count everything that you put into your mouth. Even sauces - everything , check labels.
  • Make sure that you don't eat any artificial sugars. Check labels, if it says sugar free - look in the ingredients, look for....sucralose, aspartame, saccharine in the ingredients. Those are BAD!
  • Going #2 is a big problem when a lot of people start the BFC. I have solved that problem with Clear Benefiber in my morning coffee and a scoop of Super Seed w/water in the afternoon. (you can buy the super seed on Amazon.com it is the cheapest).
  • Choose your carbs wisely. Try to pick the carbs that will give you the lowest count of carbs, sugar and calories and the most fiber.

I hope this helps.
