Well I guess I am weird but I really never have a problem keeping true to the Belly Fat Cure. I have met so many people that were also doing the BFC since I started over 2 years ago. But alas - many of them have fallen off and went back to their old ways of eating or switched to something else.
Gluten Free - Weight Watchers - Vegan - and any of Jorge's latest and greatest menus he comes up with.
Don't get me wrong - we all gotta do what ever works for us - right? For me eating REAL food is important. I used to eat enough for 2 people before and all the wrong stuff. I never really cared what I ate cause I just KNEW that I would never be any different or ever be able to lose any weight at my age.
Boy was I wrong and I am so happy to admit that now. I know this works and I am happy to share my love of the BFC with you every day. You have to be faithful though. You can't eat like everyone else and still expect to lose weight.
That's why many times I have stated that it is all a mind thing. You have to get you head right and you can't cheat. But if you do and you have a bad day - just MOVE ON. Keep going and go on with your journey.
Let go of the past and look forward to your future.
Some days its hard to keep writing posts not knowing if anyone is reading them or not. I talk about my day good or bad and let you know that no matter how your life is like right now at this moment, you don't have to reach for food as your comfort any more.
Here's what I ate yesterday; breakfast;
for me and hubby - 3 eggs w/sauted mushrooms, onion, baby spinach and cheese split in half, 2 turkey bacon, 1/2 avocado and 1 oasis toast.
lunch;
was kind of weird, shirataki noodles, w/2 kosher skinny hot dogs cut up and some kimchee.
We went for our 2.6 mile walk. Me and the girls went a different way and they loved it. I tried to get another walk in before the weather turned bad. It was very cloudy w/rain on the way and this morning it is raining all day. I ate a think thin bite along the way.
dinner; was buffallo wings and some broccoli and brussel sprouts w/ 2 squares of 86% dark chocolate and rediwhip for desert.
Thanks for listening to me today. I hope you all have a great weekend.
This is PurpleRosy signing off...

I may not be here everyday, but I do read your blog :) I'm laughing cause I love the buffalo wings as much as you do :)
ReplyDeleteI read everyday too. I'm glad you keep telling us like it is. I am one of those girls that needs to be more like you and follow strictly. I'm not setting the world on fire but I'm trying to stay true to the bfc. Hugs and love.
ReplyDeleteI read every day and have been spending hours going through your blog history, gleaning inspiration and help along the way. You are helping me get through the rough patches and as of today I'm down 18 lbs+ as of this morning (though I go up and down then up and down again just like you did!) on the BFC (10 weeks).
ReplyDeleteYou are not weird, you are committed! That's a good thing:)
ReplyDeleteI read, but don't always reply because I have so much going on with work, kids, husband and houses. I"m tired......really, really tired and get lazy! Funny that you had kimchi. I finished off the kimchi yesterday too. It sat in the hot sauce and was nice and spicy! :)
ReplyDeleteEnjoy this rain, even if the puppies are giving you the evil eye :)
Carey
ditto Kay. :)
ReplyDeleteI read everyday...you are heard and you make a difference.
ReplyDeleteI have to say, I am so resolved that this way of eating is just my lifestyle now. I havn't cheated nor do I have the slightest desire to do so. I get a tad sad at the desperation people are feeling when they diet-hop hoping for the magic cure, but not giving anything a chance to work. Oh well, each has their own journey.
Rosalie, I look forward every day to reading your informational and inspiring messages. I love your recipies and great ideas and I'm so thankful that you continue to share with all of us!
ReplyDeleteYou're not weird, you're awesome! I'm glad you found what works for you so quickly! I think the reason so many people struggle has the do with the variables with health. It's good to have a "base diet" that one follows, but then it needs to be adapted in some ways to fit their health and dietary needs. Instead of sticking with a good base diet like BFC/Primal/Paleo/WW, and then adjusting it as needed, they bounce around from diet to diet hoping to find all their answers in one diet, which rarely happens.
ReplyDeleteHi Rosalie! Long time no hear from me, huh?! Not intentional...just havent been on the blogs. I applaud you for your success on BFC and the support you offer to everyone, no matter what plan they are following. I have lost my taste for sweet & if I eat anything remotely sweet, I get a horrible taste in my mouth. I cant eat fruit..it just tastes bitter. Im seeing the Dr tomorrow so dont worry. I have contemplated doing BFC til this resolves. I did pretty well today....went over a little on the sugars (18) but stayed within the carb count (94 total for the day) Perhaps this loss of taste will be a blessing in dusguise??? I do hope this "blessing" ends soon because in all seriousness, it is no fun to not be able to taste anything but bitterness. :(
ReplyDeleteHope all is well with you!
Hugs to you my friend!
Sherri
