Take Control

Hello Friends,

I wanted to talk today about how we can take back control of our lives. I know you've heard me say before that a big part of this weight loss journey is all in our head. Once I saw that this was working for me I realized that this is a forever thing.

You have to get it into your head that this is what I am going to do forever! This is not A.A. You cannot do it one day at a time. You must change your way of thinking in your head and come to a calm realization that you will eat like this forever.

Once you relax about it and learn that part - the rest is downhill. Even if you don't think its working - just keep doing it like I did and the weight eventually comes off. Find different BFC things to try.

OK - so with that said, I think we need to apply that way of thinking to other things in our lives that are not going all that great right now.  You have to look at your situation from a different angle and find a solution. Hopefully you have someone that you trust completely that will support you and you can tell anything to. I don't have anyone to talk to about what's going on. Just 1 person that I don't want to dump on every time we talk. Even though we have never met, she has really helped me realize that I am somebody.

You can do this!! You can get to where you want to be!! You WILL lose all the weight and reach your goal!!  And if you are at your goal like I am, You CAN stay there!!

YOU ARE NOT ALONE!!

Here's what I ate yesterday:
breakfast;
OK so quite a while back I found this recipe for Pumpkin Pancakes on a Caveman website. I finally tried them and ate some with butter and natures hollow. On his site he was saying how good they were and the whole batch made 10 and he ate all 10. I made 1/2 batch and it made 7 small ones and I ate 4.  OOOH OOOH YUM. http://purplerosy.blogspot.com/p/almond-flour-pancakes.html

lunch I made some tuna w/olive oil mayo, feta cheese, 1/2 avocado, some green olives cut up, bacon bits and put it on a whole grain tortilla. And topped it off with 2 shortbread cookies.

I cut the front and back grass with our new electric lawnmower. It was such a beautiful day.
Around 3:30 me and my 2 furry besties went for a long 2.4 mile walk. I always walk at a steady brisk pace and they keep up real well except for the like 10 times they stop to potty. About 1/4 of the way from home they were getting real tired. Poor babies, but they did great.

dinner;
I do love to eat in my bowl a lot because it is easier with my ET's. I ate some tofu shirataki noodles w/some pesto and a chicken breast I sauted in a pan w/EVOO and some Italian seasonings and broccoli and topped it off with some grated parmesan cheese. This was GOOOOD. And 1 cinnamon cake for desert with some decaf tea.

So Blah, Blah, Blah, Yadda, Yadda, Yadda - I got MAD love for you all...

Thanks for listening and please visit my blog list below. We all need Support.

This is PurpleRosy signing off...

My thought for the day:

Do What You Want To Do

  5. Thank you for the caveman link. I haven't been to many of the paleo websites before, but their recipes fit in well with BFC and gluten free eating. The more recipe options we have, the better. I added a handful of the paleo blogs to my blog list.

    1. I make it easy, I just buy the frozen ones and eat like 6 and put them in a bowl in the microwave with some butter and sea salt. :-)

  8. Ditto.. to everything that everyone here just said. You are awesome. I'm struggling, but I don't wanna give up. I wrote about it on FB. Damn... I nearly broke down when I weighed this morning. So I shot the whole day, out of pure frustration and being emotionally drained from feeling like a failure. Gotta put my big girl panties on and get a grip.

Some tips if you are having trouble

  • First make sure that you are staying under the 15/6. 15 sugars and 6 servings of carbs for the whole day. Thats no more than 5 sugars and 2 servings of carbs per meal.
  • Track all of your sugar/carbs. Add everything from your meal together and count them that way.
  • Try to stop eating whole grain carbs after 3pm.
  • Make sure you drink lots of water.
  • Count everything that you put into your mouth. Even sauces - everything , check labels.
  • Make sure that you don't eat any artificial sugars. Check labels, if it says sugar free - look in the ingredients, look for....sucralose, aspartame, saccharine in the ingredients. Those are BAD!
  • Going #2 is a big problem when a lot of people start the BFC. I have solved that problem with Clear Benefiber in my morning coffee and a scoop of Super Seed w/water in the afternoon. (you can buy the super seed on Amazon.com it is the cheapest).
  • Choose your carbs wisely. Try to pick the carbs that will give you the lowest count of carbs, sugar and calories and the most fiber.

I hope this helps.
