Give a Little and Get a Bunch...

Hello Friends,

How is everyone doing on their weight loss journey today? Is there any problems or issues that you would like addressed? Any questions or just need any help - that's what we are all here for.

Know that you are not alone. Support is a big key to your success I have found out. So give a little to all our friends on my blog list below and you will get a bunch back.

Ok for those of you that still drink Diet Soda, and still think that its OK or that it's not bad for you -
KTLA news just said this morning that people over age 40 that drink diet soda every day are more likely to have a heart attack because of the chemicals in it. WOW!

I must say I used to drink them EVERY day, but have not had one now in over 2 years. I feel great and don't miss them at all. If I ever get a craving for one- I just have a Stevia based soda:
Zevia, Blue Skies, Virgils has a diet soda sweetened with Xylitol and there is a new kind called Sans too.

So many things that I have learned in the past 2 years since I started the BFC. Whenever I find out something new or a recipe that fits the BFC lifestyle I share with all of you.

Yesterday I ate;
breakfast;  4/1
a whole grain tortilla w/cheese, turkey bacon, and an omelete made with sauted onion, mushroom, and baby spinach with cheese in the middle - oh yeah and a few berries.

Ok so I was kind of bored and ran out of my sweet stuff so I made some almond flour chocolate chip cookies and chocolate-maple-walnut coconut flour muffins.

lunch; 2/1 I had some shirataki noodles w/ a bit of pesto sauce and some broccoli and 1 cookie and 1 muffin.

I must have ran up and down the stairs yesterday at least 12 times before noon even. I kept forgetting stuff. I love running them now - its fun. Then My furry friends and I went for our walk 2.5 miles. Did laundry all day.

dinner;  2/1
another cauliflower crust pizza. One for me and one for hubby. I really have to stop eating these for at least 2 weeks. I am so hooked I think I have eaten 4 of them in the past week or so. I guess I am addicted to cheese. LOL
Desert; decaf gingerbread tea and another chocolate muffin.

BTW I posted a special coupon above for Reslina only for all my bloggin buddies if any of you would like to try. Please like the Facebook page for me and follow the blog also. I know hubby will really appreciate all the support you can give.

Thanks for listening to me today. Big Hugs free to all.

This is PurpleRosy signing off...

  1. Ok, weigh in today is 246, woot woot! I seriously cannot believe the amount of inches I lost! Seriously IN-SANE!
I hope this week goes just as well...the Dr put me on Prednisone (heavy duty steriods) to try to get this stinkin' ear issue cleared up. I was on it once before and it tends to make you swell up horrible bad and hungry all the time. Oh well....at least it will all be false weight that should come off within a few days.
Ok, now I am all rambley, lol!
Hope you have a great day today (((hugs)))

  2. Hi Rosalie! I have been away for a while and have missed reading your blog. Work and life have been CRAZY and I am ashamed to say I did not make the best choices in dealing with the craziness. I have always been an emotional eater (happy, sad, bored, tired, cranky, monthly ups & downs, etc.)and am working hard to change that part of me. Then, I was embarrassed to admit I wasn't doing so well on the BFC. I say all of this to say that good or bad, I will continue to comment and send my updates. Thanks for being a constant that I can go to for support and help. You're awesome!

  3. Hi Rosalie,
First off thank you so much for the Reslina. I hope it will help get my engine running , so to speak :)
I have to admit that I am always reading your blog but I havent posted much these days. A year ago I was at my lowest weight of 153 and it lasted a minute or two. I had lost 80 pounds. Since then I have been ashamed to post my weight and be accountable for my actions. I have still been following the BFC and have just started back to basics to get myself inline. Between a couple of vacations, back surgery and a little depression I am now ready to start being accountable.I am back to 163 and plan on losing more. Would you please update my weight as I begin a new chapter in my BFC life.
Thank you for all your support and I will make sure to let you know that I am here much more often.
Happy to be traveling with you as my leader,
    Beechy

  4. I've been crazy busy lately and was trying to change the diet up a bit since I was stalling on weight loss. I decided to stop eating snacks which was a bad idea. Yesterday, I had my Jay Robb protein shake for breakfast at about 8 and then went for a very fast 4 mile walk (fast because my 9 yr old was on rollerblades and I was trying to keep up.....somewhat). Between eating early, exercising and not eating until 1pm, and then eating a light salad (out at CPK with a friend), and PMS, I was starving at 3 pm! I ate almost a half bag of this spicy chili lemon chip/prezel mix. I know better than that!!!!!! I don't usually binge because I know I need snacks, but I pushed my own limit. I tried, I've learned and I"m moving on! I was really good today at lunch with my boss. I choose a fish house and had a side salad, with 2 swordfish skeweres and about 10 french fries. Yum. Been a little overzealous with the wine this evening because it's super stressful working with the boss, but I'm being good for dinner! Phew! I'm exhausted......AND I hate hormones!!!!!!!!!

  5. HI Rosalie! I'm still here, trying to stop in and say hi to everyone as much as possible and to blog at least a few times a week. The schedule is hectic as you can imagine. Just got back from my brothers. It's hard being there and making good food choices, but I'm trying. I'm actually going to really try and get back to the core basics of the the BFC. I've strayed alittle and need to get strict all the time...not just when all is going well. Doing the writing challenge that Amber suggested. I was never very good at writing and I think I miscount those carbs trying to keep them all in my head. Hope you are doing well. Love and hugs to you from me!

  7. Not doing so great this week, Rosalie. :( Have been doing the BFC this past week just like all the other weeks but have not only gained the 2.5 lbs I lost last week, but as of this morning, have gained 2 more. I feel like I'm never going to break (and hold) the 10 lb mark. I had achieved an 11.3 lb loss as of 10 days ago and as of this morning, I'm only down 5.1 pounds since starting Jan. 9th. Do I need to shock my system? Any ideas? I know that I will go up & down some but this seems excessive :(

Some tips if you are having trouble

  • First make sure that you are staying under the 15/6. 15 sugars and 6 servings of carbs for the whole day. Thats no more than 5 sugars and 2 servings of carbs per meal.
  • Track all of your sugar/carbs. Add everything from your meal together and count them that way.
  • Try to stop eating whole grain carbs after 3pm.
  • Make sure you drink lots of water.
  • Count everything that you put into your mouth. Even sauces - everything , check labels.
  • Make sure that you don't eat any artificial sugars. Check labels, if it says sugar free - look in the ingredients, look for....sucralose, aspartame, saccharine in the ingredients. Those are BAD!
  • Going #2 is a big problem when a lot of people start the BFC. I have solved that problem with Clear Benefiber in my morning coffee and a scoop of Super Seed w/water in the afternoon. (you can buy the super seed on Amazon.com it is the cheapest).
  • Choose your carbs wisely. Try to pick the carbs that will give you the lowest count of carbs, sugar and calories and the most fiber.

I hope this helps.
