I hope that everyone had a great Christmas and that you were not alone and got to be with someone who loves you. The past 3 days I feel like I had more bad bites than I have in the past almost 2 years.
You already know what my Friday was like. Saturday (Christmas Eve) I was trying to get back on my regular routine. Hubby had to work the night shift.
So I had already ate dinner of Buffalo wings and a spinach salad. I was wrapping up a few gifts. Then I got a phone call from my old neighbor that I used to live next to in our last house. She said what are you doing? Come over. We are all having tamales. But I already ate and said I don't think so.
But I thought about it and got ready and went over. There was over 40 people of her family there. They were the best neighbors and friends and I really miss going over there. I had 1 little tamale, tiny bit of beans and tiny bit of turkey and water.
They played the gift game and I stayed about 2 hours - it was fun.
This is the kids playing the gift game. Tons of them huh? |
I ate lunch before we left so I would not get too hungry; 2 slices of zucchini-cheese-coconut flour bread w/tuna w/mayo and feta cheese and avocado in on top.
We went over to hubby's mom's house, stopped and picked up Maria first. She was just gonna be alone cause Lisa worked the night before and on Christmas night and just sleeps all day. We got to hubby's mom's house around 2:30.
Maria, Me, and Theya on of my nieces. |
drank some water and wine I bought over 2 bottles cause they always only drink sweet stuff. I had maybe 2 small glasses.
We all did the gift game and it was a blast. We got home by 9:30 pm.
Hubby's sister and her 2 beautiful girls are here for the week and I am supposed to be going with them to Knotts Berry Farm today. So I better go and get ready.
Thanks for listening. Lots of love to all...
This is PurpleRosy signing off...
My thought for the day:
Keep Your Eyes On The Prize
Obstacles are what we see when we take our eyes off the goal.
Keep on BFC ' n :-)

I'm really excited to be your 1st comment, not sure that's ever happened before ;). The festivities at your friend's house sound fun. The tamales sound great. I'd love to go to someone's house for tamales! Living in the south that never happens :). Regarding your "bad bites", I'm sure you're already back on track. You're an awesome motivator! Have a great day!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the Merry Christmas wishes!
I'm so happy you have great neighbors, and it sounds like you had an enjoyable holiday too. The weather is spectacular-have fun at KB Farm!
ReplyDeleteSounds like a wonderful weekend! I know you've already bounced back from your 'bad bites.' LOL! Hope you're enjoying the kids this week!

Sounds fantastic! It is hard to resist fun get-togethers like that. After all, we don't want our eating habits to distance us from others. I'm glad you decided to go after all.
ReplyDeleteIf you don't mind, since so many read your blog, I wanted to quickly post about my updated blog address for those who missed my post about it the first time around. Thanks.
My new blog address is:

Rosalie....hello my long lost friend! LOL. I am still cleaning up from my gigantic Christmas weekend. I had some bad bites too, but the good part is that I know what to do to get right back on track. I don't feel lost without a plan. Sounds like you had a great weekend. I still have alot of clean up, some work stuff and other things to finish up, but I will be back to blogging in a day or too. Just wanted to say hi and I miss everyone! Hugs from me to you!
ReplyDeleteHi Rosalie! Im so glad you went to your friends for a while. I find myself doing that...not going to parties because I am afraid of over eatingbut that is something that is going to change in 2012. I have to learn to co exist with food. Sounds like you had a nice christmas! I LOVE Knotts Berry Farm & am so jealous that you get to go! Take me, take me!!!! lol. Have a great time!!!
ReplyDeleteIt sounds like you had a lot of fun surrounded by people that you love and enjoy! What better way to spend the Holiday?
ReplyDeleteI had a bunch of bad bites, but I had a lot of successes too:)

ReplyDeleteSorry, Katie. I had to close my blog overnight to stop a computerized spammer from visiting my blog. Blogger Help basically said that if you ignore the visits the computer will move on because it's not getting any response. I took that a step further and assumed that if I closed my blog so that it couldn't even gain access to it that it would move on quicker. It seems to have worked and my blog is opened again. I was hoping it was late enough that nobody would have even noticed, but I guess not. :)
