Yesterday morning I started my day off with a good breakfast like I always do. I think it IS the most important meal. It always gives me a good start to my day and I really do feel it is one of the reasons that I lost all the weight that I have. I have learned to eat properly since I started te Belly Fat Cure.
OK - I'm getting off the subject; breakfast yesterday, 2 slices of Zucchini-cheese-coconut flour bread w/natures hollow on top and scrambled eggs w/onion, mushroom, baby spinach, turkey sausage crumbles and cheese. I have not been to the store for around 4 days and ran out of berries, that's why no berries for that long for me. I hope to get there today.
This morning's breakfast;
eggs, turkey bacon, and zucchini-cheese bread w/natures hollow |
I ate 2 slices of the zucchini-cheese bread w/horseradish mayo, turkey lunch meat, turkey bacon and pepper jack cheese.
We were going to Maria's niece, Ana and Cesar's house for a Christmas dinner. Ana is always so nice to me and treats me like one of the family. She is so generous, I love her.
So anyway I wanted to eat something before I got there so I would not want to eat everything in sight.
Ana, me and Cesar. Yes they are short and I am wearing heels. |

I have noticed that every time I am around Lisa and Maria they always say stuff like;
You're not on a diet any more, you can eat anything you want now.
Oh - you can eat that - you are just in maintenance now.
They never eat healthy and probably don't realize it but they are those FOOD BULLIES that I always talk about. I really have to watch myself around them cause they seem to talk me into stuff.
So I see them putting the food on the table;
turkey, yams, stuffing, mashed potatoes, rolls... and that's it.
So I say; where are the vegetables??
Maria says its in the stuffing. Duh... see that's what I'm talking about. Luckily I brought a bottle of Pinot Noir with me so I could have a glass of wine with dinner.
I had some turkey w/gravy, a little bit of each; stuffing, mashed potatoes and yams. I kind of had no choice or I would have only got to eat turkey.
It was Cesar's birthday so after we opened presents it was cake time. I had about 4 biters of chocolate cake. then we went to look at some Christmas lights nearby.
It was a couple of blocks near Ana's house and all the houses looked like this. Really pretty.
Then we went back to Ana's and had some tea and you guessed it they pulled out pumpkin pie. I had about 3 bites.
Hubby was at work last night and tonight too. When I told him what I ate he said ; Watch it you can't eat like that anymore. He really loves me and loves the way I look now and he promised me that he would never let me get back to where I was before BFC.
I do worry about that sometimes cause I see tons of people who start off with great intentions on the BFC and most of them veer away and fall off the BFC wagon. I don't want to ever be one of those people.
I love the way I eat now, that's why I chose to eat at home most of the time. I love to be able to control that.
Well tomorrow is Christmas at Hubby's mom's house with a ton of people and food. I am bringing Maria with me cause Lisa has to work nights and sleeps all day. I am trying to get her to come over for at least an hour before she goes to work at the hospital night shift. We will see.
Thanks for being my friend this past year and giving me all the much needed support.
This is PurpleRosy signing off...
Have a Happy Chanukah and Merry Christmas.
What We Thank About
What we think about and THANK about is what we bring about.
Keep on BFC ' n :-)
I think you did everything perfectly! No regrets:) We do need to enjoy ourselves sometimes you know! Just not several days in a row to build that dang sugar back up.
ReplyDeleteNo way am I going backwards, I know maintenance is hard, but so was giving up sugar in the first place!
Have a great day!
Merry Christmas, Rosie! Dont let the food bullies get ya down! You KNOW that you cant go back to your old way of eating because thats where ya got in trouble! I bet they are secretly jealous of how great you look so they push food on you! Just remember how great you look! Very cool that hubby is such a great support system! :)
ReplyDeleteYou did great with what you had! I agree, ya can't beat yourself up. We just gotta keep on going. I know I've been talking about leaving the BFC, but I'm not. I can't. This is THE BEST WAY to eat. I just gotta change it around for myself. But no way I'm going to quit 5/2 for each meal - I can feel when I mess up almost immediately, and I don't like the way it feels.
ReplyDeleteI'm so glad your hubby is so supportive of you - that helps! Last night I put some french fries on my plate and mine was like 'what, you're eating those!?!?" and it made me do a double take for sure, and think twice.
You did great! It's interesting to see that your husband knows your eating so well that he knows when to say something. I think most husbands are oblivious to their wive's eating habits.
ReplyDeleteMerry Christmas! Hope you have a great day!
ReplyDeleteRosalie, I'm catching up...backwards! You did great. Life will be back to normal soon, but you will have great memories of the holiday, and you won't have all the bad food choices around. I'm not stressing...just getting back to business first thing tomorrow!
