Just Wondering....

Hello Everyone,

In the beginning and many times during my BFC journey, I have had  tons of #2 problems. I haev absolutely no problem with that anymore and I wanted to share what I use every day to solve that problem.
  • I use Clear Benefiber in my morning coffee
  • Here are just some of the vitamins I take that help in this area (the rest are on products page): 2 Reslina, 2 Pro-biotics (on the products page), and 500 mg of Magnesium. I was told Magnesium is good for the #2 problem and also it helps with muscles for my ET's. IDK
  • The coconut flour recipes had a lot of fiber in them and I'm sure that helps also.

So, I have been wondering something. Now - this no offense to all the people who are doing this but, Why is in the past year or so that everything all of a sudden says GLUTEN FREE??? Why is wheat or gluten all of a sudden bad for you?? I have never even heard that term before 2 years ago, AT ALL!!

I completely understand the mom's that found out that gluten products make their child sick. So why is it all of a sudden SOOOOO BAD for us. Everything should be done in moderation, I feel. Some wheat products now and then can't be bad for you. So why do people think that by eliminating all wheat products - they will get skinny and be healthier or that it will make some kind of difference????
Well - just wondering. Cause I lost 88lbs by eating wheat every day and I am real healthy.

    Today so far I ate:
breakfast; 4 smallish coconut flour pancakes w/cream cheese and natures hollow on top, 1 slice of spinach bread, berries and coffee, blah, blah, blah.

lunch; spinach salad w/tuna, mayo, bacon bits, feta cheese, 1/2 avocado, croutons, and 2 slices of zuchinni and cheese coconut flour bread.

Well that's it for now, so I hope everyone has a great day. Thanks for listening. Big Hugs to all.

    This is PurpleRosy signing off...

    My thought for the day:

    Get Up

adidas boxing bootsIt does not matter how many times you get knocked down, but how many times you get up.

    Keep on BFC ' n  :-)

    1. I'm not really sure Rosie. I think some people said they thought they felt better without gluten, or they were testing to see if it was the reason for some of their other ailments. As for me I was just seeing if going without would help me lose weight faster - nope!

    2. It seems a lot of people are realizing that they are gluten sensitive/allergic. I think others are treating the gluten free thing just as they did the fat free, low fat craze...go figure.

    3. Rosie....to make a long story short, oveer the past few decades, with the introduction of technology, our farming methods have changed drastically, thus changing the actual structure of our wheat crops. The wheat we consume today is not the same that our grandparents ate. As these changes occurred, our bodies have struggled to adapt and have not had enough time to evolve enough to proceess this new food properly. Many people are having sensitivities or other problems caused by wheat gluten because of this. My best friend has developed an autoimmune disoorder directly linked to wheat gluten consumption. The ease of communication via the internet makes it easy for people to communicate regarding these issues so they certainly make thier way around which indeed causes people to self diagnose and try different things on thier own. Like any new thing out there.....gluten free is a selling point and a way to increase the price point of many products that were always gluten free to begin with. It is up to the consumer to use thier intellect when choosing what to put into thier bodies. I have done a bit of research on this so if anyone wants more information, feel free to hit me up. :)

    4. What Randi said. ;)

I also believe, with all my research, that any one diet doesn't fit everyone. Some of us do better when we eat meat, some of us do better without meat. Some of us are allergic to peanuts, others are not. We need to find what works best for our individual bodies.

    5. ciliac disase would be the reason to see increase in gluten freefoods. it is an auto immune disease that i believe is genetic involved, it does not take much gluten to wreak it's havok on one's poor little body. it can affect you if all the gluten that enters your body is from gluten not properly cleansed from food prep machines.

    6. Rosalie try to read the Wheat Belly Blog and you will understand why everything is about no wheat and gluten free. Wheat Belly book is great to read but you can find out a lot through the blog website.

    7. 2 years ago I had never heard sugar was the cause of obesity either. You should read more about the Paleo movement and the evolution of grain in our diets if you are really interested. I totally rejected it at first too. But I have to say,in your food log today there were no grains! Do you realize that? I also think you finally got to your goal weight when you switched to coconut breads. Anywho, to each his own I say!

Some tips if you are having trouble

    • First make sure that you are staying under the 15/6. 15 sugars and 6 servings of carbs for the whole day. Thats no more than 5 sugars and 2 servings of carbs per meal.
    • Track all of your sugar/carbs. Add everything from your meal together and count them that way.
    • Try to stop eating whole grain carbs after 3pm.
    • Make sure you drink lots of water.
    • Count everything that you put into your mouth. Even sauces - everything , check labels.
    • Make sure that you don't eat any artificial sugars. Check labels, if it says sugar free - look in the ingredients, look for....sucralose, aspartame, saccharine in the ingredients. Those are BAD!
    • Going #2 is a big problem when a lot of people start the BFC. I have solved that problem with Clear Benefiber in my morning coffee and a scoop of Super Seed w/water in the afternoon. (you can buy the super seed on Amazon.com it is the cheapest).
    • Choose your carbs wisely. Try to pick the carbs that will give you the lowest count of carbs, sugar and calories and the most fiber.

    I hope this helps.
