House hunting for Sis...

Hello friends,

Today was a good day. I woke up and ate breakfast of:
2 eggs, 1/2 avocado, cottage cheese, berries, and 2 coconut pancakes.
Then I went to my sister's Lisa and picked her up. Her lease is almost up on her apt and she has been looking for a house to rent with a yard for her 2 little dogs.

So we went to view 2 houses, then I made her buy me lunch. So Chipotle we go...
I had a salad w/barbacoa (spicy beef), black beans, cheese, sour cream, guacamole, and of course spicy salsa.

Then we went to look at one more house. Then we went to the movies. She wanted to see 50/50 but the time didn't fit so we wen to see the one with George Clooney where he is the Senator and wants to be president. 2 thumbs down. We got lost a lot and I am not that much of a politics person. And yes - I had popcorn AGAIN!! SEE ADDICT!!! LOL

By the time I got home it was 7:15 and I hurried up and took the dogs for a little walk. Just once around for tonight cause it was kind of late.

Then I had a piece of coconut bread w/peanut butter and Redi Whip on top. I know - weird huh?? No dinner, just the bread.

Well that was my day today - How was yours?? Any problems today that I can help with??

Oh - by the way.... Are you all sitting down??  I am going to a Zumba class Wednesday with my new BFC friend, Laura.. She lives near me and is doing the BFC too and invited me. So we will see how I do with the "E" word.  (exercise)

  2. We saw the George Clooney movie on our anniversary and thought it was just ok. The beginning was a bit boring with all the political talk but it picked up a bit with the girl trouble stuff. I'll be interested to know if you like Zumba. I need to try something like that.

  5. How did the Zumba class go? I have always wanted to try it but I did not want to embarrass myself. I have been wanting to see 50/50 I have heard it is a really good movie.

  6. I want to hear what you thought of Zumba? Cause I am a little bit like you with exercise. I like my stationary bike and rower, but I would prefer to walk if I didn't have plantar facititis (sp?) Used to walk a lot and I really miss it.

Some tips if you are having trouble

  • First make sure that you are staying under the 15/6. 15 sugars and 6 servings of carbs for the whole day. Thats no more than 5 sugars and 2 servings of carbs per meal.
  • Track all of your sugar/carbs. Add everything from your meal together and count them that way.
  • Try to stop eating whole grain carbs after 3pm.
  • Make sure you drink lots of water.
  • Count everything that you put into your mouth. Even sauces - everything , check labels.
  • Make sure that you don't eat any artificial sugars. Check labels, if it says sugar free - look in the ingredients, look for....sucralose, aspartame, saccharine in the ingredients. Those are BAD!
  • Going #2 is a big problem when a lot of people start the BFC. I have solved that problem with Clear Benefiber in my morning coffee and a scoop of Super Seed w/water in the afternoon. (you can buy the super seed on Amazon.com it is the cheapest).
  • Choose your carbs wisely. Try to pick the carbs that will give you the lowest count of carbs, sugar and calories and the most fiber.
