Well after the rain cleared up the other day it is beautiful weather over here. Cooler now and pretty soon I guess the time will change and it will be pitch black by 5pm.
How is everyone doing on the FT? Me - I need at least 1 grain carb a day or else I get too hungry.
@ Scrappy: I have a weight loss progress page above. Click on the tab and it will tell you that there were many weeks that I did not lose or I even went up. But I never quit!!
I am assuming that yo are doing the Fast Track?? I would have started with the regular BFC if I was you. If you are doing the FT, just do it for 2 weeks then switch to the regular BFC. I have lost all my weight by the regular BFC.
I just kept reading other blogs and fan pages and got tips for different foods that were BFC friendly. After a while I realized that I did not need all 6 servings of carbs a day, and cut back a little. Above you will see a recipe tab and a products page. There is lots of stuff that I eat on there.
I do not exercise and never have. I just power walk. I know that is exercise too. I really love to be outside and walk with my 2 dogs and then I walk by myself for a while. I try to do bet 1-3.5 miles a day.
I know its hard to stay all cheery when you are not losing, but there will be many weeks where you will not lose what you hoped. In those times just keep doing what you are doing and NEVER GIVE UP!! and the weight will eventually have no where to go but off..

Yesterday I just cleaned the house all day while hubby was working day shift at the FD. Went for a nice walk with the dogs and that's about it.
Today (Saturday) I woke up and dyed my hair, naired my legs and underarms, ate breakfast, watched TV while I did my nails again. Last week I tried to put a pink design on top of tan polish, but it didn't show up that much. So this week I used my favorite color, Purple of course, and I put glitter on the tips and some kisses.
Hubby is at work and said maybe he will meet me at a movie after work. He wants to see the one where the robot boxes w/ Hugh Jackman, looks good. I feel bad cause I know he will be so tired. We will see.
My friend called me yesterday and about 2 months ago she found 2 little white furry dogs running the streets. She is NOT a animal person by any means but took them in anyways to try to find them a good home. They are the kind that need hair cuts and floppy ears, maybe lapso apso or IDK.
I told her that little dogs need to sleep indoors, but she didn't care. She told me yesterday that she finally found homes for them. But she split them up!! I told her HOW COULD YOU do that to them!! That's Horrible!! She said - well at least I saved their lives. But I was so upset that she would split up 2 besties that found a way to live stranded on the street together. I still have a headache thinking about it.
Tell me what you think about that. Or am I just being silly??
Thanks for listening to me today. Lots of love and congrats to Linda - she got the BIG hug yesterday for being first. haha
Don't forget to visit, join, and support my friends blogs on the list below. and remember WWRD??
This is PurpleRosy signing off...
My thought for the day:
Believe
Our beliefs about what we are and what we can be precisely determine what we can be.
Keep on BFC ' n :-)

Hi R,
ReplyDeleteBittersweet about the dogs. They are saved but of course without one another. I hope they are in good homes and soon all the love will overshadow the separation over time.
Cute nails!
Have a great weekend.
peace,
E
IDK what I'd have done about the doggies, that's a bummer. She did what she had to do, I suppose! love the nails!
ReplyDeleteI have 3 bestie dogs, and the oldest one is not doing so well right now, may have to put her to sleep, sigh..the middle dog will be lost w/o her polly..I'd never split them up myself, but I'm an animal lover..love ur nails :) still read ur blog daily, still hanging in there, maintaining but not loosing, sigh!! :)
ReplyDeletesue moschino
I completely understand you heartbreak with regard to the doggies. We have two dogs--almost 11 year old Sheltie and 1 year old Blue Heeler. It's a love/hate relationship with them but I know if one was gone, the other would be devastated.
ReplyDeleteLove the nails too! I took my step-daughter and we got ours done yesterday. Her 16th birthday party is today. :)
I guess it's good she found them homes, but it's sad she had to split them up. I don't know what I would do if I were in that situation. Yesterday my Mom showed me her nails that she got done with the gel polish two weeks ago and they still look great. It's fun to have pretty toes and nails. Have a wonderful day.
ReplyDeleteI love your nails! Dogs, I don't want one because I don't want one more thing to love with all my heart! I guess I would have split them up too to make sure that they had good homes. Like all of us, I think dogs are adaptable too. I know it is sad though.
ReplyDeleteI'm sad about the dogs being split up. I think if she had looked harder she may have found someone to take them both. On the other hand she was pretty great to take them off the street and put them in a home at all, a lot of people wouldn't have bothered. You're right that the time will be changing soon. Hopefully our long evenings will be cozy & warm.
ReplyDeleteThis is unrelated, but I have read about the BFC for women over 40 menus. Do you know if they differ from the regular BFC plan?
