Why is this such a big problem??

Good day to you all,

It's been hard to think of things to say the past couple of days. I am not happy with my life at the moment. Maybe it's just hormones, probably. A certain someone keeps getting on my nerves real bad. I keep hearing myself raising my voice a lot lately. That's not good.

On the other hand, I have realized something by doing the Belly Fat Cure for soooo long. I have always said that my weight goes up and down like 2lbs all the time. My lowest at the moment has been the 150lbs. I am so happy with that number and just want to maintain that, but if I happen to lose 5 more that would be OK too. But I am not really trying - just doing the same thing as usual.

I always try to make sure that I get enough fiber in my daily food. That is a big problem for 90% of us doing the BFC. I find that if I wake up and go #2 right away then my weight is good. But on days like today no #2 that much yesterday and not this morning either, my weight is up those 2lbs. I don't get panicked about that any more and you shouldn't either when that happens to you.

I Wanted to mention this again because we all hold our breaths so much around how much our weight is. I'm not really sure why this is such a big problem on the BFC??  Just when I think I perfected the fiber thing, well I guess just going astray on the fiber for just one day messes me up.

Although I don't track anything anymore, I know what to eat now and what not to eat. I just want to make one thing CLEAR. No matter how bad or good I feel - I Will NEVER go back to eating the way I did before.

Now to some Q & A:

On the tab that says Jorge's Menus, I copied all those menus from his emails that come directly to me. Many of you have gotten the same ones. If the Fast Track book is different than his emailed free menu, I have no idea why. I personally don't ever plan to do the fast track. ME, I need couple of grain carbs in my day, that's the way I never cheat- by making sure I get enough to eat.

Pattie I would love nothing more than to move over there. :-)

to everyone, I never intend to yell or scold if you mess up. We are just human after all. But like I said earlier in this post I get bitchy at times so let me know if I do - OK??

Kristy, the coconut bread: I mix in a food processor. I put the eggs at the bottom and mix everything except the butter and flour, then add the butter ( the one I use is soft right from the fridge), then I sift the flour and mix the rest. Depending on the pan you use for the time, after 20 min just keep checking and use a toothpick and make sure it feels set not giggly.

My intent for doing this blog is just to help anyone who wants to lose weight, no matter what diet you are doing. BFC, WW. or your own version. Every is always welcome and I love yo ALL.

Thanks so much for supporting me and every else who comes here.

As always thanks for listening to me. Don' forget to join the ether blogs on my list below too. WWRD??

  1. Thanks for all your support and encouragement. Even though I have not lost much weight, I have lost inches...I never measured myself when I started so I'm not sure exactly how many...but I am 2 sizes smaller than when I started. Several of my friends and family have commented on my shrinking belly :) I know I can do it, because you did it! Thanks again Rosalie!

  2. Thanks for your answers and for your advice. I know that sometimes it's frustrating when doing any sort of "diet", but that is part of it all. I am frustrated because I am not seeing any major movement anymore, but I think I'm eating the wrong things. And I know it's not because my body is telling me I'm at goal...that would be a HUGE mistake on my body's part ;) Anyway- thanks again for the encouragement.

  3. I know that feeling of being lost of things to blog. I feel like I have writers block lately and coupled wtih not seeing the scale move too, I dont feel like I have any room to speak.
Hope that things get better for you at home. Your hubby does sound like hes a good guy. Sometimes, they are just annoying but if they werent around, we would be sad and lost. At least I would.
Have a great day my friend!

  4. "I get bitchy at times so let me know if I do - OK??"....I love it. You made me giggle. Your funny. I'll let you know if you get bitchy. ;)
I get frustrated with the scale even though I know bathrooom habits, TOM or whatever makes a difference. I can't wait until I get home so I can weigh. Really. That's crazy. Thanks for being real.

  5. Hey Rosalie! We have have our days (or weeks) - I've been grumpy this week, too. Good thing it's almost over, right? Start again next week... :)

I notice that if I have a bad fiber day it messes me up for days afterwards. Everytime I feel like I"m being too picky about getting enough fiber and slack off it comes back to haunt me. So I hear ya there!

    Have a good weekend!

  7. I hear ya sister!!! My horomones and my mood has been all over the place lately, I tell hubby all the time I want a vodka mocha valium latte (from one of those 50's ladies holding a cup of coffee and smiling) I am mostly joking ;) Hang in there :)

  8. No wonder I like you so much! I'm bitchy and my husband is annoying, too! :) LOL! Don't you just want to be a kid again, when life was so much simpler and we didn't have hormones? Maybe taking the puppies for a walk would help. I've noticed that when I'm really angry or stressed, I walk and I always feel better during and after. Hang in there and try to have a great weekend. BTW, I love your stamping kit for your nails. They look fabulous!!!!!

  9. I was a grump last week too. At 48 the weight isn't coming off as fast as it use to. I am the same weight I was a couple of years ago, but my clothes fit differently. This put me in a very bad mood. Dawn in NM

  10. I just started reading your blog back to when you first started BFC. I just started this week and it helps me to read your posts when you began. I don't have the book and have only been reading your blog and others... Still debating whether I need the book now since you give some great info! My one question is portion size. I guess since meat doesn't have carbs (making a roast tonite) I don't limit myself and eat as much as I want. Same with chicken. Is that a mistake? I usually just eat that with a big helping of veggies.

  11. A-M hopefully you will get to see this on time. No don't eat as much meat as you want. Just eat what looks like a healthy portion to you. And remember that veggies has sugar too.
I use a program on my driod X called calorie counter and a website called nutritiondata.com. both are very helpful in telling you the nutritional data in foods.
And yes you definitely need the book to reference by. start with the original Belly Fat Cure the one with the blue stripe.
Make sure that you are going under the 15/6 rule. That's 15 sugars and 6 servings of carbs a day. or 5/2 per meal.

  12. Hello Rosalie. Would you mind posting what you eat, now that you're basically on maintenance? I get so many great ideas from you. Thanks SO much!

  13. Hello Rosalie! You and I are on the same page with feeling hormonal. I have been so bitchy lately. My husband can't seem to do anything right and to be honest he annoys me sometimes. He is such a great guy, but I think I take everything out on him. I am tired, frustrated that I am not losing weight, overworked and have a million other complaints. I can't see the good thing right in front of my eyes. I know so much of it is hormonal. I wish all of this stuff would stop and I could be in hormonal harmony. My thyroid meds keep changing too, so that doesn't help. But luckily my nodule hasn't grown, so I don't need another biopsy. Anyway, I hear you and I am here for you too, as you are always here for all of us. Please feel free to vent to your friends. We love you and want you to be happy. Hugs from me to you!

Some tips if you are having trouble

  • First make sure that you are staying under the 15/6. 15 sugars and 6 servings of carbs for the whole day. Thats no more than 5 sugars and 2 servings of carbs per meal.
  • Track all of your sugar/carbs. Add everything from your meal together and count them that way.
  • Try to stop eating whole grain carbs after 3pm.
  • Make sure you drink lots of water.
  • Count everything that you put into your mouth. Even sauces - everything , check labels.
  • Make sure that you don't eat any artificial sugars. Check labels, if it says sugar free - look in the ingredients, look for....sucralose, aspartame, saccharine in the ingredients. Those are BAD!
  • Going #2 is a big problem when a lot of people start the BFC. I have solved that problem with Clear Benefiber in my morning coffee and a scoop of Super Seed w/water in the afternoon. (you can buy the super seed on Amazon.com it is the cheapest).
  • Choose your carbs wisely. Try to pick the carbs that will give you the lowest count of carbs, sugar and calories and the most fiber.

I hope this helps.
