I am Here to Help...

Hey there Peeps,

It's supposed to be hot today, around 95-97. You know that navigator thing that goes around the pool and cleans it? Well occasionally it gets stuck on top of the drain, and it did so I went out to use the net to pull it off and I must have jumped a foot off the ground. I got a nice surprise left for me by Mandy I am guessing.

OK so look at these 2 faces and you tell me....

Yesterday I ate:
breakfast; 2 oasis toast w/butter, sugar free peanut butter and some blueberries and raspberries on top, 2 eggs, coffee, blah, blah, blah.  S-5/C-1
lunch; 6 asparagus, small pc of leftover chicken, and 2 chocolate coconut bread w/peanut butter on top.  S-2/C-1
snack; pork rinds 0/0
dinner; chicken-feta-spinach patty from Sams club, broccoli. and for desert 2 chocolate coconut bread w/2 squares of 85% Lindt chocolate melted on top w/a bit of RediWhip.  S-4/C-1

Today I ate:
breakfast; CarbCutter wheat tortilla w/cheese, eggs, a few ea. blueberries, raspberries, blackberries, coffee. S-3/C-1
lunch; don't know yet

So I just finished my nails. They look so cool I had to show you.
I bought these Sally Hansen stickers from Ulta. It was a little tricky for me to put them on since my hands shake so much from the E.T. But I think I did great and I LOVE anything with an animal print or purple. LOL!

Today I weighed 150.5. I realize that I am gonna have to alter something soon so I just don't keep on losing. I am at such a good size and weight for my height and frame. Maybe I will start eating a carb with dinner.

A few things that I have done to lose this much weight is:

Stop eating junk
no carbs w/dinner and be done eating by 7pm
drink lots of water, maybe 1 or 2 zevia a week
alcohol drinks very, very rarely, not every night like Jorge suggests.
When feeling the need to cheat, I only pick 1 thing and eat 2-3 bites, then stop.

I don't exercise - just walk daily which I LOVE!

If I can do this - SO CAN YOU!!!!

I am here to help and support anyone that wants to do the BFC and lose weight. Just let me know how and I will do my best.

  1. Holy cow girl you must look GOOD!! Adding a carb at dinner should be easy to do, do you love potatoes? Maybe you should start having some more fresh fruits? I didn't have any weight gain from all the cherries that I ate, and I ate a lot of them. My gain comes from all of the darn carbs!

  2. Good for you! Do you internally feel like the slimmer/healthier self you are now? I have spent ALL of my adult life thinking about my weight. It seems like such a waste of my mental energy. (I've been 'dieting' for years!) My goal is 150-I'm shorter than you, but feel like that's a good goal. Once I'm there, and I feel differently-then on to the next! Thank you for sharing. Take Care

  3. Thanks for the tips Rosalie. I am up a lb this week and I know it is from the lasagna and pizza that I overindulged in. UGGHHHHHH!!!! I was doing great, but now I know that I really have to be careful with those types of things. I have been so busy with work, and I haven't attended to my blog, but I will. Love that I can still check in with you. Also, I never saw a rat before, but I am TERRIFIED of mice. I couldn't even look at that photo!!!! PS Love the nails! Hugs to you from me!

    Love your blog!! I can relate with no exercising and losing weight. I lost the first 28 pounds without even cycling and cycling is my passion. I do it for the joy of doing it not for losing or for the BFC reason. I don't eat junk either. I had eggs w/spicy turkey susage link for breakfast. I am having a veggie pizza and dinner who knows but it is meat and veggies. I am glad we have those snacks for treats now because I just keep those around at home and the office and I can snack on a few here and there and be done. I stay within a reasonable weight/maintenance. I was able to enjoy a steak sandwich and some fries last night with a friend for her birthday and didn't bother me. I know I don't eat this way every day so on a special occassion why not! Thanks for your support and being there for many of us!!

  5. Yay for you Rosalie! You did it...150!!! Congrats! Now its on to maintainance! Enjoy that carb with dinner!!! YOu have worked hard & now its time to step back & pat yourself on the back for what you have done! Way to go!!!

  6. Wow! You are there! Great job! wahoo! Now comes the hard part, at least that's what I've been told. How exciting! I'd be so nervous, adding the carb back in at dinner. But I'm sure it will do the trick! Way to go! Your dogs are such cutie pies!!

  7. Thanks for your support on my blog! Of the things you mentioned I realize I drink a lot of stevia sweetened tea but not plain water. Maybe more water will do the trick for me. Congrats on making your goal!! By the way your dogs are just too cute!

  8. Love the nails, hate the rat. When we lived in CA we had a roof rat (he was a huge SOB) and it died in our ceiling right before my folks came for a visit it was very gross. ANyway, your doggies are super cute, have a great day :)

Some tips if you are having trouble

  • First make sure that you are staying under the 15/6. 15 sugars and 6 servings of carbs for the whole day. Thats no more than 5 sugars and 2 servings of carbs per meal.
  • Track all of your sugar/carbs. Add everything from your meal together and count them that way.
  • Try to stop eating whole grain carbs after 3pm.
  • Make sure you drink lots of water.
  • Count everything that you put into your mouth. Even sauces - everything , check labels.
  • Make sure that you don't eat any artificial sugars. Check labels, if it says sugar free - look in the ingredients, look for....sucralose, aspartame, saccharine in the ingredients. Those are BAD!
  • Going #2 is a big problem when a lot of people start the BFC. I have solved that problem with Clear Benefiber in my morning coffee and a scoop of Super Seed w/water in the afternoon. (you can buy the super seed on Amazon.com it is the cheapest).
  • Choose your carbs wisely. Try to pick the carbs that will give you the lowest count of carbs, sugar and calories and the most fiber.
