This is my Day...

Hello Everyone,

Yesterday (Friday) I made the coconut bread with 12 pks of truvia and 2 tbsp of cinnamon. I also made the Rocco low cal brownies both are on the Recipe page. Both were good. And the cinnamon in the coconut bread was Awesome!!

Yesterday I was using my carpet shampooer and realized that the brushes are not moving. Its kind of old so I called hubby and told him it's time to get a new one, so I met Hubby at Best Buy and picked out a new one. I got the upper end one of the Hoover one. I could wait to try it. Funny huh?

This morning (Saturday) I ate 2 eggs w/sauted mushrooms and baby spinach, cheese and sausage bites, 2 pieces of cinnamon coconut bread and some berries and coffee. S-5/C-1

After I took out my new shampooer from the box and played with it for 1 & 1/2 hours. I could not believe the difference between the old and new one. I can't believe I didn't do that a long time ago.

Then I went to Lisa's (my sister) and we went to the airport LAX to pick up Maria, she finally got back from El Salvador today. I packed us both lunch to eat in the car on the way. I made a carb cutter tortilla, chicken, cheese, mustard, baby spinach and a piece of cinnamon coconut bread. S-1/C-1

We picked her up and took her bags to Lisa's and then the 3 of us went to the movies. Had popcorn of course and we saw The Help. What a good movie. 2 thumbs up!!

We went back to Lisas's and  I stayed for a little while, then came home and had a spinach salad w/chicken, Amies sugar free dressing, and some cheese that Maria brought back from El salvador. 0/0

That's it for now Gals its 10pm. Thanks for listening. Lots of love.

This is PurpleRosy signing off....

  2. I feel like I am in a never ending battle for clean carpets with my grandson here:) I'm happy for you that you have been so busy! For awhile there you were kind of bored. Now when things settle down you can be happy to be bored!
Which bread should I make first? The cinnamon or chocolate? Did you kind of swirl the cinnamon in? Since I know nothing about baking, I don't know how it would work.
    Have a great Sunday:)

  3. Kay, I didn't swirl it, I just put it all in the food processor. I liked them both - You pick :-)

  4. I made the chocolate coconut bread today with no sugar cocoa and stevia instead of truvia. I liked it! Had mine with a TBS of peanut butter on top plus my eggs and bacon tortilla and it kept me full until almost dinner time! I added 1 carb to account for the chocolate and came out with 2 slices(out of 12) = 1 sugar, 8 carbs and 7 fiber. Does that sound right?

  6. I would love to have a carpet cleaner! They get the carpets soooo clean. I have to rent one every now and then.. boo hoo. I try to take time for me, but right now my hubby is sick so that makes it more difficult. If he doesn't get better soon I'm sending him to the doctor! Sounds like you had a great weekend!

  7. Busy girl Rosalie! I love having my carpets clean. It's so disgusting when you empty that dirty water container, but so satisfying too! I read the book,"The Help", and really liked it. Not much of a movie goer. I usually wait for it to come out on DVD. I would like to see that one though. Hope you have a great day. Hugs to you from me!

  8. Hey Rosalie! I was wondering if maybe you wouldn't mind posting or making a page of things you like to eat for breakfast, lunch and dinner??? I feel like I'm in a food rut and need to change things up a bit... it's always nice to have a resource to find things in cases like that. Just an idea... thanks!

Some tips if you are having trouble

  • First make sure that you are staying under the 15/6. 15 sugars and 6 servings of carbs for the whole day. Thats no more than 5 sugars and 2 servings of carbs per meal.
  • Track all of your sugar/carbs. Add everything from your meal together and count them that way.
  • Try to stop eating whole grain carbs after 3pm.
  • Make sure you drink lots of water.
  • Count everything that you put into your mouth. Even sauces - everything , check labels.
  • Make sure that you don't eat any artificial sugars. Check labels, if it says sugar free - look in the ingredients, look for....sucralose, aspartame, saccharine in the ingredients. Those are BAD!
  • Going #2 is a big problem when a lot of people start the BFC. I have solved that problem with Clear Benefiber in my morning coffee and a scoop of Super Seed w/water in the afternoon. (you can buy the super seed on Amazon.com it is the cheapest).
  • Choose your carbs wisely. Try to pick the carbs that will give you the lowest count of carbs, sugar and calories and the most fiber.

I hope this helps.
