Change Can Happen...

H Everyone,

Hubby and I have been busy looking for the perfect sofa to replace the old one I sold. We want to make sure get the perfect one so that in a year from now he won't say that he hates it again.

So in the process I have been out late at times and not walking every day, maybe every other day lately. You know I always try to eat before 7pm, but a few times I ate around 8ish. I hate being off my schedule.

So we wound up of all places - Macys. We bought a sectional there when it used to be called Robinson's May. Actually yesterday was the last day of a sale they were having and we decided on a 2 pc Italian leather sectional in brown.
Here is the picture from the store.
I should get it in 2 weeks, the store didn't have it in stock, so I have to wait for the next shipment.

Response to comments;

I always believe in have a big breakfast. I have done this from the BFC. If you get a good start for your day - I feel there is a less chance of cheating later in the day.

The coconut bread is not gonna taste anything like cake, so try it again Pattie with the butter that I use (on the recipe page).  In fact I made it again last night with 10 pks of truvia and 2 tbsp of Ghiradeli unsweetened chocolate powder. I made it into muffins (would have been better in the loaf pan instead). They were quite tasty and different.

As far as the Movies, I LOVE anything Sci-Fi, or SCARY! I am always there for any of those kind of movies.

And cuddlefish, just go to your local health food store and buy 1 container of Coconut flour to see if you like it first. But the banana bread thing- I'm not sure about that. I have not had anything containing a banana for over 1 & 1/2 years since I started the BFC. (too much sugar in bananas).

Linda, The flax seeds are just a different source of fiber, put them in a protein powder shake or on oatmeal. My buffalo wings that I always say I eat are; Tyson in a big plastic bag I get them from Sams Club. They have no breading, just the flavor and I cook them under the broiler to get real crispy.
But if I was ordering them out; I would not eat any carbs with them cause they would contain at least 2 sugars and 1 carb.

When eating out at a junk food place I will order either chicken strips with buffalo sauce or ranch for dipping or a burger with cheese (no sauce like catsup or thousand) wrapped in lettuce and a side salad.

Well that's about it for now - Thanks for listening to me. Lots of love to all.

This is PurpleRosy signing off...

My thought for the day:

Waiting in the Wings

Change can happen at any time, but transition comes along when one chapter of your life is over and another is waiting in the wings to make its entrance.

Keep on BFC ' n  :-)

  1. I love your sectional:) It takes a lot of time to shop doesn't it? When I complain about my furniture, my husband always asks me when we would have time to go look? Maybe if he ever gets put on disability we will have time.
How do you stay so "up" all the time? You never really get frustrated with the BFC. I respect that about you. I also respect your good advice!
    Keep on being Rosie:)

  3. The couch is lovely! I applaud you also for being so dedicated to the BFC. I am dedicated to WW but I can fall off the wagon from time to time. Its all in what you want and how bad you want it.
Have a great day & thanks for your thoughts!

  4. I love getting something new, and a sofa is a big thing to look forward to. Thanks for answering my question and always looking out for us. We should call ourselves Rosie's girls! I will try that coconut bread again. I had a feeling the olive oil might not be so good, but I thought it would be a little healthier. Take care and hugs to you from me!

Some tips if you are having trouble

  • First make sure that you are staying under the 15/6. 15 sugars and 6 servings of carbs for the whole day. Thats no more than 5 sugars and 2 servings of carbs per meal.
  • Track all of your sugar/carbs. Add everything from your meal together and count them that way.
  • Try to stop eating whole grain carbs after 3pm.
  • Make sure you drink lots of water.
  • Count everything that you put into your mouth. Even sauces - everything , check labels.
  • Make sure that you don't eat any artificial sugars. Check labels, if it says sugar free - look in the ingredients, look for....sucralose, aspartame, saccharine in the ingredients. Those are BAD!
  • Going #2 is a big problem when a lot of people start the BFC. I have solved that problem with Clear Benefiber in my morning coffee and a scoop of Super Seed w/water in the afternoon. (you can buy the super seed on Amazon.com it is the cheapest).
  • Choose your carbs wisely. Try to pick the carbs that will give you the lowest count of carbs, sugar and calories and the most fiber.

I hope this helps.
