Well that didn't last long....

Hello all,

Well yesterday morning (Wednesday) I woke up to hearing Hubby talking to some guy in the backyard. It was the gardener from 2 houses down. So, the --we will do it our self thing went out the window. How long did that last 2 days? So he wound up hiring him for more money - but he said he will fertilizer and do the palm trees and weeds, everything. That's fine it was just a brain fart on his end anyway. LOL.

Yesterday (Wednesday) my sister, Lisa came over with her 2 dogs. They played with my 2 and they all had fun. Her and I went to Target. She needed some things. I decided to try the roll-on wax stuff for my legs. I tried it this morning and NOT! That crap doesn't work at all, so I am gonna see if they will refund me.

Today Maria my step-mom is supposed to stop by here for 1 day from Las Vegas on her way to El Salvador on Friday. That is where she is from and she is going to visit her sister there. She has been so lonely since my dad died in January. I worry about her being all alone all the time. This trip will make her feel much better I am sure.

So tomorrow (Friday) Lisa and I are taking her to the LA Arboretum and then to see the new Harry Potter movie before her plane takes off at just before midnight on Friday evening. That is if we can get in.

Wednesday I ate;
breakfast; 2 eggs, cheese, 2 turkey bacon, mixed berries, 2 oasis toast w/butter and Joseph's sugar free peanut butter, coffee.  S-5/C-1
lunch; Marys gone crackers, cheese, turkey, avocado.  S-1/C-1
snack; cheese 0/0
dinner; Applebee's, Lisa went with us, I had steak, broccoli, spinach-artichoke dip w/celery and 2 tortilla chips. some RediWhip later for desert.  S-1/C-1

After we got back home, I made lisa walk with me, 3.2 miles and she did fine.

So I just came downstairs from putting away clothes and I catch Hubby brushing the floor with his feet. He was in the back trying to hook up some lights in the flowerbeds around the pool. I kept telling him to not track in the house. I said - what are you doing trying to hide the evidence?? He started laughing and said: Busted..I will vacuum. I told him no cause I have to clean anyway. It was funny...

  1. Umm we could be related..didn't you know all Salvadoreans know each other ? (We have no concept of blod relation we are all family) Lol..have you ever been? I hope she enjoys herself. Omg I just had a haired brain idea, we should make BFC approved pupusas... as my salvi sister you must help out.

  4. Rosalie...I consider you a Sister.. (speaking of relations). We are a lot a like, and like Cynthia mentioned, Puerto Rican's have no concept of blood relations either. BTW Cynthia...I love Pupusas too.. revueltas!

  5. Okay, girls, I have no idea what pupusas are, but enjoyng all the comments anyway! Rosalie, I just sat down to relax a bit and catch up on blogs. I have been so busy catching up on work stuff. I work for my husband and do most of my stuff from my home office, but it takes up so much of my time. I hardly get any free time for me. I really look forward to checking in on the blogs and I will try to always check in and post. It keeps my focused. I enjoy hearing about your life and can relate to so many things. What is it with hubbies and dirt on their shoes!!! They think they can just sneak in for a glass of water or to use the bathroom, but they leave the evidence behind.

    I hope you have a good time and the movie and enjoy the time with your sister and step mom. Take care.

Some tips if you are having trouble

  • First make sure that you are staying under the 15/6. 15 sugars and 6 servings of carbs for the whole day. Thats no more than 5 sugars and 2 servings of carbs per meal.
  • Track all of your sugar/carbs. Add everything from your meal together and count them that way.
  • Try to stop eating whole grain carbs after 3pm.
  • Make sure you drink lots of water.
  • Count everything that you put into your mouth. Even sauces - everything , check labels.
  • Make sure that you don't eat any artificial sugars. Check labels, if it says sugar free - look in the ingredients, look for....sucralose, aspartame, saccharine in the ingredients. Those are BAD!
  • Going #2 is a big problem when a lot of people start the BFC. I have solved that problem with Clear Benefiber in my morning coffee and a scoop of Super Seed w/water in the afternoon. (you can buy the super seed on Amazon.com it is the cheapest).
  • Choose your carbs wisely. Try to pick the carbs that will give you the lowest count of carbs, sugar and calories and the most fiber.
