Year 2, Thursday wk 11 on the Belly Fat Cure

Hi All,

I just wanted to make a short post this morning.

Katie was asking about the traffic school class I chose to take on Saturday. Yes it's so the ticket doesn't go on your record, but over her in California Katie, you have to pay for the ticket - then pay extra to take traffic school - then pay the instructor at the class. 
I paid $384 for the ticket
$40 extra to take traffic school
total $424
Plus I have to give them $40 more dollars when I get to the class on Saturday morning. 
Woo Hoo.
So that will be a total of $464 for a speeding ticket that I got because my dad was dying. 
All I can say is.... VIctorville SUCKS !!!!!

So yesterday I did not go out to lunch like I was supposed to. She was supposed to call me in the morning, I texted her around 11:10am and got no response. 

I got very upset because she has done that to me before 2 times. I started feeling bad about myself and about not being able to find a job and not having friends. When you are in peri-menopause you mind gets away with you.

I got real depressed all the rest of the day. My dogs had to force me to go on a walk by 4pm. 

My point is - even though I was feeling so bad - I didn't go and eat myself out of house and home. That is a very important lesson to have learned over the past year for me.

Yesterday I ate:

breakfast; 2 eggs, 2 turkey bacon, 2 oasis bread w/butter and some cinnamon on top, 1/2 avocado, 8 blackberries, and my coffee, blah, blah, blah.

lunch; tuna w/mayo, feta cheese, bacon bits, 1/2 avocado, baby spinach and croutons. Then I was feeling sorry for myself and had some veggie chips.

dinner; precooked turkey chunks, w/ broccoli, and 6 brussel sprouts and some fettuccine sauce and parmesan cheese on top. The I had 2 squares of 85% dark chocolate w/ some redi whip.

Well thats it for now. Everyone try to have the best day you can.

My thought for the day:

Do not dwell in the past, do not dream of the future, concentrate the mind on the present moment.

    Good job on not letting depression make you eat. I am struggling with that today. We had snow last night. Really? April? Ugh!!!

  3. Yea I agree with Helen and Kay. You should write in and share your story. That would be awesome! :) You did so good not eating bad while feeling down. :) Wow that is crazy expensive for the traffic ticket, but glad it won't go on your record. :)

  4. Holy crap Rosalie that sucks. Gosh, that cop should have given you a pass when your Dad was dying. Crazy that they make you pay your ticket and the cost of the class, but I guess Cali is broke.

    How annoying that you got blown off, I hate when that happens, that behavior also makes me feel bad about myself. Good job on not emotional eating, we are all proud of you.

    And I agree with the above posts, you should go on Oprah and tell her she should do the bfc :) Tomorrow is another day and I hope it is better for you.

  5. Why is California operating in the red, they make tons of money on tickets and taxes! Egads! I saw the F.B. Jorge just posted today and also thought you should contact him since you are a success, and you live so close he wouldn't have to pay air fare on you. HeHe! So this is confirmation to get on it and contact him ASAP. You never know what can come out of it if you don't try. You could be appointed to his next BFC Clinic or something to help out. TRY< TRY< TRY< for it. Good Luck!

  8. I agree Rosie, you should sent it in! I will even send your profile to his staff that I know, if you want! Just my jaded opinion, Im not sure its a real thing that is happening. But if it is - he should totally take you!

    Feel better, dont let your down days affect your diet. I mood swings suck, I know!

  10. Well, did you send Jorge your success story? Just curious if you heard anything back. Write him again if you have to. Write him once a day if you must... JUST DO IT! (love that Nike add). Okay just checking in on the biggest success story I know of. Over and Out.

  11. Just getting started but feel that I'm not losing any weight, have actually gone up a couple of ounces. I am wondering if I need to eat more carbs. Currently I only eat meat, eggs, cheese and some wine.

Some tips if you are having trouble

  • First make sure that you are staying under the 15/6. 15 sugars and 6 servings of carbs for the whole day. Thats no more than 5 sugars and 2 servings of carbs per meal.
  • Track all of your sugar/carbs. Add everything from your meal together and count them that way.
  • Try to stop eating whole grain carbs after 3pm.
  • Make sure you drink lots of water.
  • Count everything that you put into your mouth. Even sauces - everything , check labels.
  • Make sure that you don't eat any artificial sugars. Check labels, if it says sugar free - look in the ingredients, look for....sucralose, aspartame, saccharine in the ingredients. Those are BAD!
  • Going #2 is a big problem when a lot of people start the BFC. I have solved that problem with Clear Benefiber in my morning coffee and a scoop of Super Seed w/water in the afternoon. (you can buy the super seed on Amazon.com it is the cheapest).
  • Choose your carbs wisely. Try to pick the carbs that will give you the lowest count of carbs, sugar and calories and the most fiber.
