Year 2, Saturday wk 10 on the Belly Fat Cure

Good Morning friends,

I have been having a pretty bad week. I don't like to complain because - you know - you don't want people to think that is all you do. BITCH! But there is a lot of tension at home all week. It has affected me a bit. But I still try to never emotional eat now. I have learned at least that much.

I have been looking online in all my spare time for a job and applying for many jobs. Not even a email back - Oh Well! I have been self employed for at least 15 years and I feel that is the reason. It was never my idea to do that. It is always the hubby. He is the one that wants to make lots of money and be rich. Not me. I just want to have enough to pay the bills.

That attitude from him does cause a lot of fighting between us over the years, as you can imagine.

But today - I am not letting anything get me down. No one is sucking the happy out of me today. I am in my bubble and he is not getting near it!

I woke up this morning 1 lb less. Today, if only for today, I am 155lbs. WOO HOO! I never thought I would lose anymore. Once I got to 158 I kind of stalled and decided that is probably where I am supposed to be. I have been bouncing bet 156-158. You all know my original goal was 150 - so who knows, maybe I will actually still reach it.

That just goes to prove to you what I say all along. "If you just keep doing the BFC, the weight has nowhere to go but off".

Yesterday I ate:
breakfast; oatmeal w/ ground flax seed and chia seed sprinkled on top, with walnuts, truvia, cinnamon, and 8 blackberries, and of course coffee - blah, blah, blah - and all my vitamins and Reslina.

Lunch; I was depressed and just had a bunch of snacks of, cheese, nuts, some veggies that I got from the asian market - spicy greens, kimchee (spicy cabbage), and seasoned pertilla leaves (looks like stringy seaweed). Then I had some veggie chips. Like I said I was depressed.

snack; some joseph sugar free cookies 6

dinner; shirataki noodles, w/6 meatballs, 6 brussel sprouts, mushrooms, and some fettichini sauce and parmesean cheese. Then some redi whip w/ 2 squares of lindt 85% dark chocolate.

I feel like I ate too much - but everything was so healthy and I don't think I went over on my s/c 's.

Today is another day and Lisa is coming over with her 2 doggies. I hope they don't pee in the house :-{
We are going to the Chino Hills State Park  for a hike with all the dogs then when we get back we are going to the movies.

Well thanks for listening. Love to all. Please leave your comments.

My thought for today :

How does one become a butterfly? You must want to fly so much that you are willing to give up being a caterpillar.

Keep on BFC ' n  :-)

  2. Sometimes venting is good...it helps clear the negativity and makes things easier to deal with. More often than not, it puts things into perspective. Plus, if you vent to us, chances are you won't go postal on the hubby and make things worse. LOL. ;0) I am more like you in that I am happy to make sure the bills are paid and I have a little play money....not so big on the material things as long as the necessities are taken care of. Thankfully, so is my hubby so I am able to do what I like and not "have" to work....although I do at the moment. Maybe instead of looking for an outside job, you can put that much energy into your self employed job and kick it up a notch?? Maybe you already tried that, but I thought I would offer it up as a suggestion. I like to help. :0) Regardless of how that "work thing" turns out, you have already made a huge difference in your life by choosing to be healthy....doing what you needed to do to get there and stay there....and even make progress at this stage!! Maybe you could employ these same strategies into being happy too....I know the BFC has changed my life more than just the weight and inch loss but has also given me a new look at confidence, perserverance, and achievement. Focus on all that you have accomplished, how much you have changed your own life, the impact you have had on ours and remember that this is just yet another challenge you must meet and overcome. After what you have already done, this should be easy squeezy!!

    You Go girl!!

  4. Man I hate to hear how the stress in your home is getting you down. It's hard when there is negative energy around not to be affected by it.

I am happy to hear about your weight loss...whoo hoo! It would be awesome if you could make some money sharing your success and helping others...you are so helpful and inspiring to anyone who is doing the bfc...just a thought.
You are an awesome person and I hope tomorrow is a better day :) big hugs

Some tips if you are having trouble

  • First make sure that you are staying under the 15/6. 15 sugars and 6 servings of carbs for the whole day. Thats no more than 5 sugars and 2 servings of carbs per meal.
  • Track all of your sugar/carbs. Add everything from your meal together and count them that way.
  • Try to stop eating whole grain carbs after 3pm.
  • Make sure you drink lots of water.
  • Count everything that you put into your mouth. Even sauces - everything , check labels.
  • Make sure that you don't eat any artificial sugars. Check labels, if it says sugar free - look in the ingredients, look for....sucralose, aspartame, saccharine in the ingredients. Those are BAD!
  • Going #2 is a big problem when a lot of people start the BFC. I have solved that problem with Clear Benefiber in my morning coffee and a scoop of Super Seed w/water in the afternoon. (you can buy the super seed on Amazon.com it is the cheapest).
  • Choose your carbs wisely. Try to pick the carbs that will give you the lowest count of carbs, sugar and calories and the most fiber.

I hope this helps.
